Great food, lively atmosphere, and thoughtful service! My husband and I had dinner at Crockett's Public House in Puyallup. There was a car cruising event in town that day (mostly featuring classic and modified cars), so the restaurant was quite busy. However, we lucked out and got seated near the bar area without any wait. We ordered the Thick-cut B.L.T. and the Fire-grilled Artichoke. I was so impressed when they brought out the sandwich already split into two separate plates for us--such a thoughtful touch! True to its name, the sandwich was packed with plenty of thick, delicious bacon. The grilled artichoke had a wonderful smoky flavor and tasted amazing, though the portion of the actual artichoke heart/flesh was a little small. Still, the flavor completely made up for it! Our waitress was cheerful, friendly, and very attentive. The overall atmosphere of the place was fantastic, especially the bar area, which had a cool retro vibe and an impressive selection of drinks. Tip: For parking, it's street parking only. Highly recommend this spot!

Nothing special. I'll never go back. Parking was a pain, but the restaurant is cute. I had high hopes when we arrived. The timing of how the meal is fired needs to be updated. The soup and entree came out at the same time and dessert came out before we were finished with our soup. Seriously, didn't anyone think that was odd when they were dropping the food off. The restaurant was half empty, so it wasn't like they were too busy to notice. The seafood chowder was seriously under seasoned and bland. The fish and chips was double salted. The fish tasted like salty chicken batter and the fries were limp, undercooked, under seasoned, and bland. The creme brulee was wimpy and tasted premade. Even the bruleed crust was cold. The service was not very attentive and didn't realize that we didn't get utensils for dessert for ten minutes, which was ok since we weren't ready to eat it anyway. But a refill of water or some sort of liquid would have been nice. It would have helped us choke down the salty fish. As I was picking at my food, I wondered how much was premade from Sysco.

Quick seating for an early dinner! Waitress was very kind and accommodating. Bacon bacon burger was flavorful and juicy. Fries came crispy and in a large portion. Not too loud, not too quiet and family-friendly

First off, this place is so cute and fun. I felt great energy just walking in. Met a friend for dinner here and was eager to try since it was on Dives, Diners and Drive-Ins. The waitress and bar tender were friendly, personable and make good drinks. The appetizers were great. The ribs were not edible, literally, burnt to a crisp. My sloppy Joe's was way over-seasoned. I was disappointed . My friend was disappointed. So, you may be surprised to know, despite these things, I do recommend. It's worth going to. It may have been an off day for the kitchen staff. I will give them a second chance at some point. Ambience is really comfortable and easy. I liked it. I highly recommend trying the grilled artichoke. Hell, I'd go back for that alone. But, don't get too excited with anticipation until they earn that.

Service was great. Salad was good and the salad dressing was just right. Sliders were a tad overcooked but were still very good. They had sauted onions on then that added a nice touch. Would definitely eat here again. Very large bourbon selection at very reasonable prices.

Smallest beef patty ever in a $25 burger. Will not repeat.

This place has gone down hill. I understand inflation and we're all dealing with it. My problem with this place is they shrink the burger and upcharge $25. That's ridiculous. A$25 burger should have a decent beef patty and some quality ingredients. The fried chicken sandwich wasn't any better. Burnt breading. Small chicken fillet and it fell apart. I've been here several times and other items have been ok. No major complaints. Today was horrible. Also when I politely mentioned the issues to the waiter and sent the food back she took the food and brought a bill. Rip off. Get it together Crocketts.

    Bloody Maria w/Mezcal!

We were in Puyallup for a 5 day dog show and we gravitated here 2 of those days! That should tell you everything! Our first day we started off with 'Maria Ahumado's!' What's that!? That's a Bloody Maria with Smokey Mezcal instead of Tequila. It's a good thing! Top it with a small appetizer of a pickle, a chunk of pepper jack cheese, salami block and a giant green olive! Yeah that's the ticket to Smokey Happiness. One of these is a perfect beginning. Then I ordered the Green Chili Cheeseburger Med Rare with sweet potato fries! Excellent cook and it's a Tacoma/Seattle Best Burger winner! Judy got their Artichokes. They were excellent. If you're looking for a friendly happening place, good food going back 2 days in a row. Dani was our bartender & server she put off the best vibes and we loved her energy! She said BSB was good! So we tried it up! What's that? Brown Sugar Bourbon baby! Sweet but not overly sweet similar to a B & B. Now we buy it in Alaska! Want a warming, sipping bourbon with flair!? Try a BSB!

We visited for dinner on Saturday night with a party of 6 adults and 4 kids and it was a good experience. First off, not their fault, but the parking is a nightmare, very limited in an alley and a small lot out back. We arrived, with a reservation, and were seated at an adhoc combination of a rectangular and a round table after about a 10 min wait, not optimum. The waitress stopped by and took drink orders. We started with Calamari, Meatballs, and Wings. The apps were good, but the portion on the Calamari was pitiful, about half what you would expect at that price. From there we went with entrees; Green Chili Burger, Bacon Burger, Thick BLT, 2 x Cavatappi Ragu, a bowl of Chowder, and kids' meals. The BLT was excellent, a lot of bacon. The other food was good, but nothing special, and a bit pricey. The service added another star, it was outstanding. The waitress was prompt, friendly, and professional. She kept up with clearing plates and refills like a champ, give her a raise. Overall, not a bad place for dinner.

Food quality was good, sloppy joes was nostalgic ambiance good, particularly music set being played service was okay, it appeared like they were being inconvenienced by our request to transfer tables when we did not order or have food delivered yet. Other than that, checked it off the box.

They used to have a decent happy hour on nfl sundays. do they still do that?

Doesn't appear so. On their website they list happy hour available Mon-Thursday 3 PM to 5 PM.

Yes, we are open for dine in

    Where can I find that?

Hi Andrea, Yes! We have a gluten free menu.

    Is there a vegan menu?

No, there is not a vegan menu, nor is the restaurant particularly vegan friendly. There is a portobello veggie burger but the mushroom caps are stuffed with cheese. There are a couple of salads you could eat if you have the cheese removed. If I was… Read more

There's ample parking that's paved or across the street on gravel. The food looked amazing in photos, but I wouldn't say it was as good as it looked or sounded in descriptions. It was generally very tasty, but everything felt like it was missing just one ingredient that would make it better. It could be that I'm just more used to ethnic flavors and these were just not quite hitting the mark. For example the stratciatella was good, but if the whipped ricotta was a little more fluffy and there was some extra black pepper or lemon added it would have been perfect. The pork belly was a little dry and not worth the price for just three pieces. The thick cut truffle fries were very good however. We also tried the bucatini and it was nice but still I wanted a little more kick. It has spice but just needs a little something to punch it up. The steak sandwich two of the three of us sharing a meal loved and I'd say was the best thing we ate. The service staff was kind, considerate and gave us time and made sure our drinks were filled. There are still a lot of dishes I'd like to try and since I loved the area, it would be worth coming back again.

We joined the online waitlist at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. While we were seated fairly quickly, we still had to wait in a long line just to speak with the host to check in. The restaurant was completely packed well past 2:00 PM. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once we sat down. It took forever just to place our order. Our chowder arrived about 10 minutes later, but it tasted like it came straight out of a can, and the accompanying dinner roll was completely flavorless and factory-made. Since we were hungry, we ate it quickly anyway. It took 45 minutes for our entrees--a Country Fried Steak and a California Benedict--to arrive. By 3:00 PM, we were famished, which made it all the more disappointing to discover our food was cold, soggy, and hard. The cubed fries, scrambled eggs, and English muffin tasted like they had been sitting on a counter for 20 minutes before being brought to our table. For a restaurant advertising a "farm-to-table" concept, the eggs, salad, croutons, and muffin felt entirely mass-produced. The service was equally disappointing; our server never returned to refill our water. While the atmosphere is nice and the space is large enough to fit over 100 people, they seemed severely understaffed. The host stand was backed up, it took too long to order, and the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed. For $23 a plate, I expect significantly better quality in both the food and the service.

West Pioneer Grill was walking distance and one that we haven't visited before, so we decided to give it a try. We clearly made it before the market rush because there were a good amount of tables open and we were seated immediately - 10 minutes later the place was nearly full. Definitely casual vibes here but that's what we were looking for. Our server, Jesse (easy to remember because that's my husband's name LOL), was great and we didn't have too long of a wait for anything. Limited selection of alcoholic beverages. I got a bottled Space Dust and my husband is a cider drinker but they didn't have any, so he also went with a beer. They do also have some liquor options. If you're a milkshake fanatic, we saw a milkshake menu that had to have at least 30 options on it! We weren't starving so we decided to split the fish tacos and it was the perfect amount. The tacos were good and were a generous size. We loved the sauce that they had it topped with, definitely pulled the entire dish together. Our son got some chicken strips and naturally, he loved them. We tried them and they were good - plus the ranch they have is BOMB. Very dilly, and really good! I think the only negative thing I really noticed was that the restaurant didn't feel the cleanest (observations from bathroom + flies) but could just have been an off day. Glad we checked out this spot and would definitely come back in the future for their extensive milkshake options!
