I was looking through the…read moreracks and found everything was very trendy and super cute, however when I tried to find my size I was unable to find anything over a size Large or size 30 waist (size 8). When I approached the owner about finding something in another size she mentioned that she carried sizes that were appropriate to her customer base and if she stocked items with every size available she wouldn't make any money. Basically shaming me for needing a larger size. I wasn't asking for anything extreme just a size XL (to fit the girls) or a size 10 jeans. I don't need the rude attitude and I'll happily take my business downtown to another boutique in town that doesn't passively fat shame women.

Parking is available on the street in non-metered spots nearby.

Elean or keeps her store stocked with seasonally appropriate wear and offers fantastic deals (currently a fall sale). Every nook and cranny of this creatively designed shop was overflowing with eclectic treasures. You'd swear you'd find Iris Apfel herself shopping in this dream house! After sifting through troves of wares, I settled upon an artfully designed, one-of-a-kind vintage purse covered with charms, game pieces, gears, buttons and other miniature notions (there's even a tiny tea cup and saucer by the clasp!). One look and I fell for it, hook, line, and sinker! I was in love! And the price? A measly $38! The compliments this beauty will elicit? Priceless! As I meandered through the store, the cheerfully patterned tights tempted me... the wacky but wonderful statement necklaces wooed me... the funky and fearlessly designed tunics tempted me... the shutter displays of baubles teased me.... but I resisted... THIS TIME...(evil laugh) mwah haha!! I thought "one precious item is enough for now"! Next time I'm sure I'll succumb to adding more of these exclusive pieces to my closet. The sales lady, classy and elegantly attired, snazzily and peerlessly accessorized not only assisted me with grace, but she also gave us a brief history about the store and it's designers. Plus, the lower start-up costs mean that those who have the passion and talent for running a boutique get the chance to, which they might not otherwise have had, and consumers benefit with even more options of where to shop. Anyway. I walked into the Brew & Blues Festival in Front Royal and stepped right into this truck. It was the first thing I saw, and I made a beeline for it. I actually didn't even know I was at a beer festival. I thought I was at a street fair or farmers market. The clothes and accessories are super cute, even though I didn't end up buying anything. The Gypsy Catwalk also offers a variety of sizes, which is appreciated. They had a rack outside the truck, which I think is wise, to draw people in. The woman was friendly, but I didn't really talk to her because I was a bit out of sorts that day, though I wish I had. Their website is very well done, and I highly encourage you to check it out. And clearly, if you can, check out the actual mobile boutique as well. I'm looking forward to staying updated on their whereabouts.

It took me probably over a minute just to get a "no" interjected into her spiel. It completely put me off the shopping experience. If she doesn't accost you as soon as you walk through the door, I guarantee you she's lurking around, somewhere, waiting to pounce on you like lion on a gazelle.
