Was selling my home and the potential buyer hired Crooker Hancox to do a home inspection. We had no problem with this. As it turns out he found several things wrong. Again no problem. However he did say that there was a CO leak in the furnace and illegal live wiring in the basement. Well we had to have the fire dept. come and check. Needless to say there was absolutely no leak at all. The wiring that was "illegal" was dead wires hanging from the ceiling. Not live. They also said the back roof was old shingles covered with new ones. Meanwhile we had the whole back part of the roof replaced including plywood a couple years ago.This information very nearly cost us the sale of our home. Thank goodness we had proof from the local fire dept and an electrician that these issues were not true. I would not ever recommend this company to anyone!!! read more
