My first memories of this place were when I was 10 and stuck onto this course through a hedge that my friend in the estate right next to the course discovered on his local rounds! We played the whole course unnoticed but ran for our lives when we heard the words "boys" being yelled from the clubhouse direction!
Fortunately I have been back in more recent times in more legitimate circumstances! This is a fairly standard local gold course, with nothing really that special going for it. The fairways and greens are well kept which is good, but the fairways are sometimes very narrow and unless you know the course it is sometimes difficult to know where to go.
On the plus side a round here is as cheap as it gets in the world of golf! My best advice for people driving by is to watch their cars, as a bad shank on the very first tee could result in your car getting its windscreen swiftly smashed! read more
