This review goes for the kindergarten teacher Ms.QUESADA and the ignorance of the principal who did nothing to fix the problem. First off, My son went here for pre-k with miss Annie we LOVED her!! So we continued here onto kindergarten, and it was a nightmare waiting to happen. My son was put with Ms.QUESADA. I quickly realized my son who loved going to school was starting to cry every morning to not go, his behavior starting acting out (hiding under the table, clinging onto the car door to not go and running out of school when I would try to leave bc he was to terrified to go) it got to the point where I would have to basically carry him over my shoulder to the classroom door and they had to immediately shut the door so he wouldn't run away. This broke my heart and I kept asking for him to be switched to another teacher and they would always say no and have some excuse (the other classes are full) the whole year there were 3 other kids who dropped out of Ms QUESADA's class (I regret not pulling my son out as well) she was horrible. She never tried to connect with my son to make him feel safe and she clearly did something to him to make him feel so unsafe to not want to go here. my son went from loving school with his pre-k teacher to absolutely hating school, he would come home and tell me ms QUESADA would tell all the other kids in class to ignore him and I caught her on several occasions at pickup being rude to my son then when she saw me she was so quick to put on a fake smile and try and talk down about my son infront of him to me infront of all the other parents. She was extremely unprofessional and does not know how to handle kids that need a little extra time with learning. She needs to seriously learn more patience if she's going to work with such young kids because this is their foundation to having either a positive or negative outlook on school. For first grade I thankfully switched schools since we had such a terrible experience with Ms QUESADA. The first two months of his new school my son was so traumatized from how bad he was treated by Ms QUESADA he would cry every morning and would say "I'm scared my teacher will be mean to me). I explained the whole kindergarten teacher situation to this new amazing teacher at his new school and she was so welcoming and listened to us. After two months of hard work and positive mindsets and amazing helpful and PATIENT staff at my sons new school he now LOVES his new school. He learned not every teacher is bad and not every teacher is mean and he is learning that school is fun when you don't have a teacher that ignores you all day. I hope Ms QUESADA sees this and learns to be better and have more patience and know the impact she has on these little children and I hope she STOPS making such a negative impact on our children's minds. These kids are too little to go to school eager to learn then be treated poorly and bullied by their teacher to where they hate school. I'm so lucky my son is now at a better school with an amazing teacher who shows my son patience and love everyday. As you can see below my son was petrified of this woman. she should NOT be working with kids !!!!!

    Go warriors!!!!!!

"Oh boy." Sabrina Carpenter said it best, and honestly,…read morethose two words sum up my experience at CFIS.Let me be clear. This is MY side of the story. Sure, I probably made things harder for myself at times, but a lot of what happened? That's on the school.Seventh grade started off fine. I was quiet. Minding my own business. I made a friend. It was actually kinda nice. But then in science class, this boy kept bullying me over my Tourette's. Like constantly. I can't control it. I tried to stop it. I told the counselor. They were nice, told me it wasn't okay, said they'd talk to him and handle it. Guess what? They didn't. Nothing happened. He kept going. Eventually he moved on to someone else like it was a game. So yeah, he stopped bullying me. But only because he found a new target. That's not a solution. That's just ignoring the problem until it shifts. Now fast forward to eighth grade. We're supposed to be the oldest, the leaders, the ones setting the example. Yeah right. Drama was everywhere, and the drama I was in? I'm not gonna spill all the details or name names (except for one person, she earned it), but let's just say the school said they'd take it "seriously." Spoiler alert: they didn't. They suspended the wrong kid. Literally punished someone who didn't do anything while the actual problem just got swept under the rug. And now the cherry on top: their "leadership" program. It sounds cute until you're actually in it. It's run by this one teacher -- yeah, I'm name-dropping -- Mrs. Saunders. We were cutting skeletons for an activity, and she starts screaming at this kid in class. Straight up yelling in front of everyone. I went over to ask him if he was okay, but I could tell he didn't feel like talking. Later, he told me he has motor skill issues and struggles with cutting. And instead of helping him, Mrs. Saunders made him clean everything up like he did something wrong. She told him it was "the least he could do. This place is a mess. It's a dumpster fire. No support. No action. Just fake promises and teachers who snap instead of support. If you're thinking about coming here -- don't. CFIS, you need to get it together.

A lot of students acted like they could get away with anything, even being able to do so, while my friends and I would get in trouble for the smallest things. Many of the insecurities I struggle with started there. Some teachers would call students out publicly over minor issues, which only made things worse and made me more insecure about my issues. One of my classmates even broke my glasses, and when my mom and I spoke to the vice principal about it, it felt like she didn't care and even found the situation amusing. Thankfully, I had a few good friends who helped me get through the school year. There were constant fights in and outside the school, which made me afraid to report how I was being treated. Some students would hold their phones over restroom stalls to take pictures of other students and show them to their friends. I was one of the students targeted. Since then, that experience has continued to affect me, and every time I saw those students, they wanted to start problems or fight me. My time at this school had made a serious impact on my mental health for almost over a year. I took antidepressants, and at one point I attempted to take my own life. I understand that middle school can be difficult, but no student deserves to be treated this way. What makes it even more upsetting is that many students have shared similar experiences over the years, yet it seems like little was done to address them. (I also want to mention that this review is based on my experiences from 2021-2023. The school may have changed since then, and I hope it has improved for current students. However, I still felt it was important to speak out about the issues I personally experienced during my time there.)

During my time here, I had high hopes of making friends, unfortunately that wasn't as planned. I remember coming into the school, hoping to make friends right off the bat, but it didn't quite turn out that way. I was surrounded by classmates who frequently displayed disruptive conduct, and I experienced peer pressure to imitate their antics in an effort to fit in, which just made me feel more out of place. I am a full Hispanic girl who, surprisingly, never learned to speak Spanish throughout my life.I also favored indoor activities to outdoor ones, which made me paler-skinned than some of my peers at the time. My appearance and lack of proficiency in the Spanish language became a target for ridicule. I was called names like "White" or told that I couldn't be Mexican because I couldn't speak Spanish. One particularly distressing incident stands out in my memory. I was assaulted by another student and had to be taken to the principal's office. Instead of finding support, my mom and I were met with hostility from the principal, who engaged in a confrontation with my mom. This ultimately led to my mom filing a police report, which, unfortunately, only made my situation worse. I became a target for more ridicule and even received threats at one point. The trauma from those years has stayed with me, but with time, I have grown older and more mature. I'm now attending a four-year university alongside my older sister, with the support of my dog and wonderful roommates who all love me just the way I am. It feels like the right time to share my experience with others, as a way of letting go of the past. Despite the challenges, there were a few bright spots during my time at the school. I cherish the very few individuals who saw the good in me and accepted me for who I am. Additionally, there was one special teacher who played a significant role in my life. not only my teacher but also became one of my best friends, providing the support I needed to make it through those difficult years. To that teacher, the one who picked me for student of the month, the one who let me (along with other students) sit in your classroom during lunch, you know who you are, if you are reading this, I am forever grateful for your kindness and friendship during my time in that hell hole.

Let's just wake a moment to acknowledge that these few 5 star reviews are from the staff-- I know this because my child attended briefly. My son started here in the 1st grade and my daughter kinder. First week was great, second week my daughter told me two boys pushed my son at school. With this info I went to the principal (if he is even qualified to be called that)Whitehead. I spoke to him about my concerns and my kids concerns about the physical contact. He went on to tell me it was "not a bullying situation" so he was not obligated to inform me. The children pushed my child and my child responded and an aide had broken it up. He claimed to have not seen these things happen, but would not allow me to talk to the aide present. As I continued to express my concerns, he tried to tell me my son was the aggressor. Frustrated I asked for a conference to discuss this as Whitehead was very gaslighting and dismissive. While the conversation continued another staff member approached to save Whitehead, (due to his lack of qualifications he was not able to handle the conversation on his own) a lady name Ms. Kemp approached. She claimed to be his colleague (right hand if you will), but it almost certainly gave off a husband/wife vibe. The next day I was called into the office to talk about my child--- ALL OF A SUDDEN, he's a problem. Whitehead goes on to tell me my child is doing disruptive things and being physical. Conveniently his teacher didn't see these things, lady Kemp saw them. They claimed my child attempted to bite a child's arm out. Yet NOT ONE PERSON saw this. What Kemp and Whitehead were unaware of was that I was in contact with the teacher aide. Constantly checking in and she said my child was doing great. So my child is doing great, until I confront whitehead about negligence-- now my child is a problem. That's interesting. Needing more clarification, I reach out to his teacher, Kubo-- to speak about my child progression and participation in class. She tells me through dojo she'll give me a call. But guess who calls me instead? Yep, whitehead and kemp. The teacher said she saw none of these things that it was brought to her attention. I let whitehead know I his office, YOU ARE A BULLY! A MEATHEAD, AND UNDER-QUALIFIED. His email signature for being a mentor and navigator not only incorrectly characterizes him, but it's obvious and sadly misspelled. This is NOT a school, this is a CULT! Whitehead should NEVER be allowed to call himself a principal. Your children are not safe there. They are headcount's for a paycheck. I thought I was gaining a community. Instead I gained insight on how some people are only in certain for power and intimidation. Not to mention he tried to use my child's kindergarten behaviors to justify his actions as a grown man. You know how disgusting that is to blame a baby for the actions of an adult? Do you know how dangerous it is, to have teachers willing to go along with another teacher? Not to mention my daughter lunch was constantly stolen, along with her thermal water bottle-- and she often complained of her teacher plugging her ears as kids approached her with help or issues. Please choose a safer place for your babies. THEY ARE NOT SAFE THERE. PROTECT CHILDREN AT ALL COSTS SPRINGS CHARTER! May God have mercy on those who bully, harm, and/or neglect children. If you or any family have experienced any misfortunes at this school please report it! Reviews are not enough, get predatory people out of the school system!
