friendly service, [[HIGHLIGHT]]nice outdoor seating in the shade for the summer[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and most importantly delicious pizza! I love the thicker sourdough crust, adds nice flavor to the overall pizza. The veggie pizza was a surprising hit with very well cooked veggies that weren't soggy or underdone, which can happen on pizza. Highly recommend for an easy, lower cost dinner option! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We didn't go inside but it looked casual and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We grabbed a table by the window facing 6th avenue. Sidewalk seating wraps around the corner[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Menus and tap water were set down right away. Drinks included a Peroni and the 'Cool as a Cucumber' made with vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, cucumber and fresh mint. The cocktail was cool, dry and refreshing making it perfect for a hot summer day. The Arancini were plated with a ladle of their house marinara and a healthy amount of shaved parmesan. They had a nice crunch and were the perfect temperature. The filling was deliciously herbal, nutty and cheesy. Check out the video for the cheese pull! The Polpetine were plated the same way and included a gooey ball of burrata. These hand formed meatballs were tangy and juicy. Add a forkful of the burrata and you'll be in heaven. The Ortalana pizza was delicious! We asked for half with no cheese. The crust had just the right amount of char and was sturdy enough to hold all the vegetables. I will definitely order this again on my next visit. I had the Crosta Burger cooked medium. The gorgonzola, caramelized onions and arugula hit all the right notes. An unusually dark brioche bun soaked up all the juices. The fries were perfectly cooked and had a nice snap with every bite. It came with a side of ketchup, but I opted for the vinaigrette already on the table. The Pasta Al Forno was served in what looked like a small ramekin. It was dense, rich and packed with flavor. I strongly recommend ordering this to share because you will need a nap afterward. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was cool and casual. The playlist was on point and the service was excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Recently, we checked this spot out for a late lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cozy spot with comfortable vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was attentive and we got our appetizer (kale Caesar salad) pretty quickly. The salad was delicious. I tried the frittata ($17) on the brunch menu - it was a nice portion and was a decent frittata. The margarita pizza ($17) was a Neapolitan-ish pizza with great flavor. We tried some of the desserts including Zeppo's, chocolate cake, a special apple torte. All were delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also were kind enough to deal with two very wild kids who were running around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All in all - highly recommend!

Stopped by here with family before heading to a movie at Nitehawk Prospect Park -- highly recommend! I was able to secure a reservation day-of on a Saturday, and the experience there was fantastic. I had a lovely whiskey sour to go along with a Margherita D.O.P pizza, and the pizza was wonderful! Tasty combination of flavors and the crust had a perfectly chewy texture that I loved. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is great as well, dimly lit with a comfortable amount of tables inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend!

It's pretty good, for the cost of the additional options prices I would have expected more (eg this pizza was 3 additional toppings so a $28 pizza.....) but the flavors were nice and good crust/dough (Sorry forgot to take a photo before we ate 2 pieces :) Also that's $28 takeout price.... Not dining in.

The place was very busy when we came, we waited 20-30 minutes for a table on a Friday night. Once we were seated the service was quick and attentive. The place has a good amount of outdoor tables and pretty small inside. The food was good. The arancini was delicious, excellent pesto, well-cooled risotto. The pizza with the pork belly was outstanding, the scallions really added a lot. The margherita pizza was just ok, the sauce could have used more flavor. All pizzas are made with sourdough.

Wonderful gluten free pizza - on par with Keste! Great bottle of wine as well in the pics.

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here. I really wanted to like this spot, but not sure this would be a return visit for me.

I started walking northwest knowing I'd find something pretty good. Low and behold Brooklyn Burger and Beer looked like just what I wanted, so I walked in, grabbed a stool at the bar and jumped into their menu. What a difference a 1/2 mile makes! This place was perfect and its menu was choke full of bargains and bonuses. This place was cute; I mean the bar was front and center and was very impressive but the table seating was charming too. Their lunch menu has a great "build your on burger" which i had a blast doing: Burger Cheddar Cheese Bacon Grilled onions Lettuce Tomato Mayo / BBQ con The service was exceptional, the ambience was very "Taverny [sic]" and my lunch was delicious!

Friendly waitress greeted us and sat us immediately. Menu's came out and they recommended a pizza and burger. We agreed and ordered. Place started to pick up and get busy immediately after we ordered. Food came out pretty quickly. We each had a burger. Not a lot of options on the menu but we all tried the emily burger. It was worth it. Think, juicy and with an amazingly unique taste. The ingredients were high quality, the burger cooked to perfection. The table also split the modern pizza (I think). Not sure what to expect from this one but turns out it was perfect, unique and delicious. The cheese taste really shined through. Overall, we were super happy with the food here. Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

They say some things age like fine wine, and I believe this restaurant falls in that category. After 55 years, this family oriented fast food shop known for its famous roast beef sandwich and other popular greasy goodness is still standing. I swung by recently for my usuals and glad to report that everything still tasted the same, just slightly more pricey year after year as expected. My regular order has always been the Roast Beef w/ Cheese, which was maybe $4 when I first tasted it over 25 years ago. It is now $9.45 or $.50 less for no cheese. Regardless, the roast beef (medium) is still tender and juicy, piled on top of a soft and pillowy, freshly made bread that's been dunked in a bath of delicious beef gravy. The ooey gooey cheese makes it complete for me. Everything else is solid. Nothing fantastic or worth driving out of your way for. Don't come here looking for the best version of everything on the menu. However, if in the neighborhood, this place is an inexpensive experience that brings you back in time, when the world was less complicated and a night out with family meant a delicious trip to a local restaurant like Roll-N-Roaster. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll have a good time.

I ordered: * Truffle Maker ($11.59) * Truffle Parmesan Fries ($6.50) * Chicken Bites with BBQ sauce ($8.05) * Large Yuzu Honey Lemonade ($4.00) Truffle maker was pretty good and I was glad I was able to remove the caramelized onions and truffle aioli (I'm picky). The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. Texture was reminiscent of Taiwanese popcorn chicken, nicely seasoned. Overall had a pleasant experience, I definitely want to return and try the rest of their menu.

Not all restaurants have restrooms that are made available to customers. That is an A+ in my book. Food 10/10 I ordered Hous Burger (hold the onions. Don't at me) it was pretty good. The taste of their burgers is different from most of the burger places I have tried before. I have also ordered Yuzu Honey Lemonade. I was trying to taste the honey in the lemonade. I guess I was expecting too much. The drink was refreshing. I may try the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade next. I met a gentleman who goes by the name Ten P aka 10pushups on IG. He recommended that I try his cola shake. That is what I got, plus the whipped cream. I was honestly looking for the taste of Coca-Cola because Cola is in the name. Regardless of what I expected, the shake was pretty good. I am not a shake person, so when he asked me to try it, I made an exception. Overall: I plan on coming back to Bun Haus. This was good eats.

Curious about the "famous" Brooklyn roast beef war -- yeah! it's a thing! -- T and I decided to see for ourselves. (Once I try the competition I'll weigh in with my vote.) With a reputation built on beef we ignored other options and researched how to order. You can get double dip, "dingle-dangle" (don't ask), cheese/no cheese ... it was confusing. We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy.
