As an athlete, I appreciate all of the things that help to keep me training and racing. I recently turned my ankle and hurt my knee while running. I just finished the SF Marathon this past weekend and since my parents' house doesn't have a bathtub - I couldn't wait to go in here for a much-needed reprieve from the soreness of every single part of my body. I've never done cryotherapy but have heard of it so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Also, the fact that I don't like getting cold - I was a bit scared of what and how I'll feel. I got a Groupon and so I called to make an appointment... I met Jacob today and told him my story. He showed me around, telling me what each room is about... then we went to the cryotherapy room... it was intimidating but Jacob was a true professional and he explained everything to me, including what I'll feel before, during, and after the process. He also allowed my Mom to document the whole process which was appreciated by me. I didn't do the whole 3 minutes b/c my knees were buckling and shaking which Jacob said was normal from people who have knee problems. Overall... the experience wasn't that bad so I might continue it down in SoCal. Truly worth checking out if you live in the area... clean establishment and Jacob was friendly and prompt. read more

This place is the bomb. I had knee issues throughout the years. I started going to Cryoaid regularly earlier this year and the treatments helped so much with reducing the knee pain as well as whole body recovery from the day to day workouts. The staff is nice and very efficient. I tried the T Shock. I do not recommend it this is why I am writing this. I want to warn folks that I have had pain at the site of where one of the nodes was put and it's been for 3 months. I was left in the room and not checked on throughout my 30-45 minute treatment. So take caution with the T Shock. The rest of the facility is very clean, with friendly staff. I do recommend it for the sauna, etc. read more

I knew this was going to be something different but I was very excited to try it and I had a deal for two sessions for $49. The second I walked into the office I felt welcome and comfortable with the staff. They brought me back and I saw the cryotherapy tank and was ready to run out. I deal with panic and anxiety attacks and don't deal well with closed spaces (even though your head is out), but somehow it ended up being none of that. It was explained wonderfully. Even dressing down to the gown and taking it off in the chamber. It went by faster then I expected and I had a man but he was so kind and talked me through and by then, I had made it. I look forward to going back for my next one soon and I've felt great all day. Thank you for being wonderful people and helping me through a different experience! Had an amazing experience at Cryoaid today . Went in with some shoulder soreness from MMA and came out feeling amazing . Spot treatment was very relaxing with instant gratification. The leg compressions treatment was nice and very effective at reducing swelling . My friend was with me and she's a Pro Fighter just coming back from a match . She did the cryo chamber and loved it . She felt better a few mins after getting out . It's was a simple 3 mins Chill , for me anyways ( I watched ) . She also enjoyed the leg compressions and spot treatment for swollen ankles . I have been coming here for 4 weeks now. Jacob is a very caring and understanding person. The reason I started coming is because I have rheumatoid arthritis. Recently it had got very painful in my knees. I was doing research and somehow stumbled upon an article that claimed that clod therapy is good for RA. I had my doubts but I called and spoke with Jacob. He quickly explained how this therapy works. I decided to give it a try since I had been experiencing a lot of pain. I was very apprehensive but went ahead and got in the unit. Jacob stood next to unit and calmed me down by doing breathing exercises. I got through first session. That night I slept all night, no waking up in pain. I was so happy. Now I'm here twice a week. My pain has diminished to almost no pain. Sleeping all night. A lot more energy. This place is so so wonderful!! A gem in Napa . Cryotherapy has so many health benefits. I have lupus and have inflammation and pain in my body . This decreases the inflammation and pain. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I haven't utilized all of the services offered, but the ones I have experienced have been great! I've done Cryoskin sessions as well as compression therapy. I've seen major results from the Cryoskin and would highly recommend it to anyone with stubborn body fat. The compression therapy has been a nice experience as well. It helps the Cryoskin sessions work more effectively but also feels nice too. From what I understand, it's beneficial for anyone and everyone to do the compression therapy. They have a B-12 injection happy hour too, which I also enjoy, Tuesday afternoons! All around great experiences at this business. read more

PS. I've had an inflamed hand for several weeks. Medicine and ice packs did not seem to be very helpful. I had bi-weekly doctor's appointments in order to prevent an infection. I visited CryoAid last Saturday and they used a machine that can focus on any part of the body--in my case, the cold treatment was used on my hand. By Monday evening, the swelling was down significantly. So I went back on Tuesday for another treatment. Today (Thursday) I went back to see the doctor. We both are amazed to witness how much the swelling subsided. I'm extremely pleased and relieved for my experience at CryoAid. Thank You. read more

This place is absolutely phenomenal! It was my first time and I am definitely going to keep it up! I have MS so I am constantly feeling fatigued and dealing with inflammation. I also took a bad fall last night and messed up my knee pretty badly so my cousin convinced me to give Cryo a try. It did not disappoint! I immediately was able to move my knee without pain and I felt so incredibly relaxed and refreshed. I also could not believe how alert and stimulated I felt mentally! Bought 3-sessions via Groupon, after hearing about the heath benefits from a couple of my patients. (The benefits are said to be plenty; I suggest you google cryotherapy to find out if this is worth a try). LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! In the heart of Calistoga sits this small, quaint shop that just opened their doors this past September 2016. Very classy, yet simple setting. Walk in and you immediately feel welcomed. Big lobby with coffee, cocoa, and chocolate! The owners, Jake and Stephanie... super nice, and humble. They admit they don't want to give a "sales pitch", therefore they just educate you with the 'history of cryotherapy', as well as their own personal experiences. Of course- medicine and modes of pain, health, and healing are all subjective.... but I had done some of my own research prior to committing to this form of therapy. (Oh wait! Did I mention we liked the first experience enough to make a 3 month commitment ($249/10 treatments per month). Stephanie was nice enough to suggest that Creg and I get the 10 session deal, rather than the 4/month for $130., and we share the sessions. So, this will be our weekly date night for at least... the next 3 months. Dressing area was cute, nice warm socks, rubber shoes, and back robes to cover your nakedness. Men must wear their underwear in the tank, women can go full Monty! Fun with my husband... undressing together in the dressing room, and then redressing under the heater after our treatments. We laughed at Cregs 'shrinkage', and how it didn't last after watching me redress. Very interesting experience- going into a facility that promises to freeze you with liquid nitrogen. I say... try it. Be adventurous. Do something out of the ordinary... this was it. Can't wait for next week, when we go back!!!! read more

Did something out of the ordinary and it's helped me in ways i can't imagine! Due to my depression i'm unable to sleep and really feel genuine joy for long periods of time. With a few biweekly visits i've been able to sleep like a rock and i can honestly say that i've been in a better mood! The staff is very caring they are very knowledgeable about what it is that you are getting into. they are super accommodating and more than anything they seem to be just all around good people. i would strongly recommend! also, if you hate the cold (as i do) it's a different type of cold. i can't really explain it but it's definitely an experience and it's more than worth it! i'll be back soon! read more

I have been going to Cryoaid for over two years now and am so grateful that this place exists. On top of the owner and staff being extremely knowledgable and kind, the treatment itself has worked wonders for chronic pain and fatigue that I deal with on a daily basis. There have even been times I have shown up in my bathrobe because it is too painful to get dressed and I have walked out with at least 60% more mobility than when I came in. I primarily do whole body cryo and notice that when going consistently, my focus levels are also on point, which is amazing for a business owner with major attention issues. ;) Haha.
