I first tried cryotherapy a few days before a marathon following the suggestion of my orthopedist. The result was amazing: I arrived with sore muscles and knee pain: after the first session I could already feel my legs muscles fresh and the knee pain disappeared. Cryotherapy freezes your body for 3 minutes; expect the temperature to go down to -150 degrees Celcius. It is cold but not as cold as one would have thought thanks to the absence of air and water.
