The issue of this store is the cheating staff. The staff count the money purposely wrong, and gave me 100 less USD. She was first counting some $20 USD by 1,2,3,4,5 (100), 1,2,3,4,5 (200), 1,2,3,4,5 (400), etc. By counting like this way, you will easily being distracted by the number and didnt get the right number. I didn't disclose her at the first place, and then I ask her to count it again, and she did the same cheat way to count the wrong number. When I disclose her cheating action, she looks calm and didn't say sorry at the first place, and then she walked away and get the remaining 100 USD, and apologized. They had the amount of Euros that I was looking to purchase and the rate was really good. There was only a slightly higher than 2% premium on top of the actual exchange rates. They also charge a flat service fee of $3.75. I was in and out within minutes. For those who don't know, Calforex also has a currency buy back program. If you purchase more than C$1,000 in currency, you can come back to the same location and exchange back at the same rate that you purchased at within 30 days with the original receipt. They will buy back up to 50% of the original purchase mount at the same rate. There is no service fee on returns.

Service was very fast because there was no one else here and the person behind the counter was extremely fast at counting cash. They have a policy where if your transaction is $1000 CAD or more, you can return the unused portion of foreign currency and convert it back into CAD at the same rate if you bring back the receipt. The exchange has to occur within 30 days of the original transaction and you can only return up to 50% of the currency that you purchased. There is no service fee on returns.

The man was polite and asked whether I had called ahead. I didn't. Apparently, it helps them prepare. He, along with another colleague, went into the vault. He managed to get me $80 CAD worth of $359 CNY. I was pleased, although I ended up with a ton of single CNY bills! I wasn't complaining. The man was nice to provide me with a white envelope. But I got it and I trusted the system. When I changed my delivery method from electronic bank transfer to a wire transfer, everything fell apart. My money did not arrive for over a month for the first transaction, and because I didn't realize that this was a systematic problem with Interchange Financial, I had two more transfers held up for over 6 weeks each. The worst part, and why I'm reviewing Interchange Financial this way rather than the bank system, is that Interchange Financial did not treat this with urgency. My impression is that they did not respond in a timely manner to the banks when they was a compliance check, and so my transactions languished. If you need to wire transfer the exchange, I would highly recommend using someone else.

I was told about the $2 service charge applied to my request for Mexican Pesos. My only expectation was that I needed the whole transaction value capped at $1,500 CDN. Mr. Bilal did all the calculations, provided me the requested Mexican funds and a receipt. Checked off a box. One less thing to worry about.
