DHL - What an awful bunch of companies. Our bag was lost on the way to Turkey on 21st September, it…read morenever left Stansted. Finally, on the 24th following ten frantic phone calls to Condor Flugdient GmbH, we were told abruptly that it would not be sent on and we should collect it on our return from Swissport. Despite being a 24/7 airport, they were closed when we arrived at 00:23 on the 29th. When we called the following day (Monday 1st October) we were told the bag would be delivered to us the following day (1st October). We waited in all day, but no bag and no messages. Today (2nd) we called First Flight Forwarders to be told it was out with DHL. They told us to call DHL directly but gave us the wrong phone number and consignment number. We couldn't get a reply from DHL so-called First Flight Forwarders back. We were told that they were too busy and would call back when they had time! Next time I fly I will make a point of checking the airline does not use First. If they do I would prefer to pay more money to use a different airline - Think on Easy Jet; TUI; British Airways; Jet2 and Virgin!
