This cozy old school Cafe was so cute! Even had an airplane hung from the ceiling! The decor was adorable! Server was so welcoming and such a delight! Another great experience at this family of cafes around the Pacific Northwest! I have now been to 4 of these cafes and am always impressed with the quality of the food as well as the experience. Like the other locations this one had a line when we came here for brunch after church one Sunday. We each had coffee immediately after we were seated and then promptly ordered entrees. I had the create your own omelette with avocado on top and pumpkin pancakes as my bread side. The meal was filling and delicious - everything I could have hoped for and more. My gluten-free friend had the huevos rancheros minus the tortilla (they make it in house and mix the flour and corn tortilla mix :() with hash browns, while my other friend had the biscuits and gravy. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and we ate every bite! This restaurant is an excellent choice for brunch and I will definitely be back in the future. My wife and I ate here on a Sunday morning for brunch. We opted to dine in the bar area, known as "the hangar". The cafe's menu is available on the bar side, and the wait was zero minutes compared to the 120 minute wait for the regular dining area. Our server, Celeste, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable of the menu, and was fun and attentive to our drinks/needs. We ordered Bloody Mary, which was breakfast in a mixed drink! I don't usually like bloody's but this was delicious! For entrees, I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries. The burger came with special sauce made in house, which was so juicy and delicious! The fries had a great crisp to them. My wife had the biscuits and gravy. Her only complaint is that it was a little strange having the gravy on the side, but I see the benefit of serving it that way. Each bite you get to pick the perfect amount of gravy for each bite! The food was great, but Celeste made the experience incredible! My family and I always come to this restaurant. It's been one of our favorites. On March 18th my partner and I decided to swing by around 12:30 ish to place a to go order, they were packed per usual for a Saturday. I placed my order to go, tipped and went and sat at the bar to enjoy a Bloody Mary - this restaurant has THE BEST around town. Anyways, once my food was done we left and when I got home, I had the surprising disappointment of what you see in the photos attached. Everything would've been good - Besides, the fact that the avocado was literally black. Yes, I understand how oxidation can cause things to turn brown or different colors but not from the time it takes me to drive from Crystal creek cafe to home about 20 ish minutes. I think what was most disappointing for us was the fact that this was our first time taking out from this restaurant, and the entire experience was absolute disaster. I got on the phone and spoke to the assistant manager Alex - he ensured that I would be receiving a refund within a couple days and that things would be settled and taken care of and that they apologized for the inconvenience caused. The next day I received a call from Garrett the general manager, and he explained to me that he's sorry - if I don't have the receipt or know the name of my server there's nothing that they can do, and that once the to go food is out of the building they can't guarantee the quality. This was extremely frustrating to hear ONE: because I was already told I would be receiving a refund by one of the managers at this location, TWO: unfortunately I did not have the receipt nor know the name of my server but anybody working in this type of industry knows that they do have this transaction on their end and can pull it up no problem considering I provided the time frame I came in and ordered & provided the last four digits of my card number, THREE: the people in the kitchen or the expos bagging the boxed food should have seen the black avocado and knew it shouldn't have been served to a customer. When I called the restaurant on the 18th and spoke to Alex and I even offered to bring the meal back as it was in such poor condition and the food was not of quality. So, overall, I'm out $45 and it wasn't made right. I never ate the meal. Nor do I plan on going back. It's unfortunate because like I said, this is one of my family and I's favorite restaurants but the fact that they were not willing to accommodate or were even willing to honor a free meal re-make to make things right was entirely unexpected and disappointing. This is a favorite of my kiddos. The hot cocoa with sky-high whipped cream is always a hit and the ability to order pancakes at any time of day makes Crystal Creek Cafe a frequent pick in our household. Wait time can be brutal, so definitely the advantage of the ability to check in online before you leave the house. By the time I made it to the restaurant our table was ready. Good dine in experience and quality (for a diner), bad take out quality. My review is just for our take out experiences: Unfortunately, every time we've ordered breakfast or lunch takeout from here, it's been shoved into a box or tray, mashed together, or just low quality overall. I don't know if they think people expect less from take out, but it sure seems that way. My suggestion would be to put things like sour cream on the side, salsa on the side, for those relevant dishes and maybe look into different containers or set up a warming area that will keep the food fresh. It's also quite confusing where to pick up food vs walk in with the massive amounts of people who are trying to dine in. And the poor staff is trying to manage all of it. Last thing I'll say is the staff is extremely nice and kind. They are patient and helpful. Kudos to them. read more

Woodinville Cafe, Sammamish Cafe, etc are related, and the menu is identical (decor is different in each). Decor here is WWII memorabilia. Cute. Food is good. Well executed and made in house (including hollandaise that is NOT from a mix but from scratch). If you are wanting good diner food, come here. But deserts always disappoint me here. This is a cute place off the freeway in bothell. It's easy to spot as you get off the freeway, but hard to get to unless you are on the right side of the road. Other than that it has plenty of free parking surrounding it. I've been here twice now, once in the bar and once in the restaurant. I have yet to experience bad service here. You are greeted right away and when seated the staff checks in on you, is friendly and makes recommendations. My water stayed full and they asked if I wanted a refill on my beverage too. They are also pretty accommodating about customizations. The menu covers the basic American breakfasts and includes lunch and dinner options as well. The prices are pretty average here, but the portions are a little bit bigger than average. The food itself is plated in an expected manner and tastes good. I'd probably come here again! read more

Expensive low quality food. I got avocado toast and a side of hash browns super simple. Also ordered one of their sandwich options with the turkey and avocado which was not as bad, with a side of onion rings. As well as some sweet potato fries. This order was to go. First off, The avocado toast which has arugula on it was packaged with the hash browns in a container that kept all the steam in so it was all soggy the lettuce the bread everything. Second, When I had gotten the food it was partially warm not hot and not warm partially warm the onion rings were cold. Third, They could do better with the proportions they are kind of skimpy the hash browns especially. Lastly, I don't really have any complaints about the turkey sandwich I don't remember the name of it atm. The only thing I would say is their avocados could be fresher on both orders the avocados had browning on them. I gave them a two because only the sandwich and the sweet potato fries were appetizing I ended up throwing away my hash brows they were very sad looking as well as part of my one piece of avocado toast because the arugula and bread was just grossly soggy. read more

We recently moved to Bothell and have been actively visiting a wide variety of ethnic restaurants with significant success. This time we felt a need for. "Comfort food" on a cold, wet Sunday evening. Based on many favorable reviews we gave Crystal Creek Cafe a try. It fit perfectly into our hunger. The restaurant was busy but not crowded and we were warmly welcomed by the staff who gave us menus and water (one glass without ice as requested). We ordered the fried chicken dinner to share with mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw and a biscuit. We were also given a large side salad to start and requested a second salad. I never previously tried boneless skinless fried chicken but it was great and took the gravy well. We had four pieces of chicken and were well satisfied with the quantity and quality of the food. The service was excellent and the servers kept in touch to make sure we were satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised at the price of $25 for everything we ordered. This was a great value. We hope to return to try some of the breakfast options. The prime rib dinner on Friday and Saturday is also very tempting at the price. Parking was easy in the strip mall setting and the decor of the restaurant was very nice. It was an enjoyable comfortable meal. read more

The biggest cinnamon roll I ever had, big enough for four people. Hard to get to if you're going northbound on the Bothell-Everett Highway; no place to turn left. We just had Sunday brunch and this cafe was busy and hoppin'. We were told the wait was 40 minutes, which we were fine with. There was a busy waiting area so we opted to wait in our car and visit. The text service to know when your table is ready is helpful. We only waited 20 minutes and were seated promptly. The restaurant was full but I like how they laid out their booths and tables. The wait staff was plentiful and smiling. They were busy and helpful. We received our coffee quickly with many choices for creamers and sugars. We were topped off frequently too which we appreciated. Their coffee is really good! We ordered the Monte Cristo and a Club Sandwich. Our side was a greens salad with carrot, purple cabbage, tomato and croutons. Very cold, crisp and fresh how we like it. Great dressings too. I like the carrot stick on top. Their Monte Cristo can't be beat. Just as good as Disneyland and Neiman Marcus' restaurant in L.A. back in the day. It's a French toast sandwich basically. They put their roasted Turkey and ham and cheese in the center. Battered completely and fried outside like French toast. Fresh strawberry jam to eat it with. Perfect sweet and savory brunch. I had the Club sandwich. Toasted sourdough three bread high with roasted Turkey, bacon, avocado, sharp cheddar cheese slice, tomato and lettuce. So fresh and so delicious. They even toasted one side and turned it inside like I asked. (I like it this way so it doesn't rip up the top of my mouth). Classic club sandwich like I remember getting at Bob's Big Boy as a kid. The service was excellent. I find this hard to get anymore because usually employees aren't paid well and they are worked too hard because of too little staff. They had SO many hard working employees. Cheerful, helpful, nice. Our waitress, Katherine, was really great. She kept us feeling perfectly cared for and yet not too intrusive. If we asked for something, she got it quickly and didn't make you 'feel bad' for asking. Great place for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Nothing bad or great, just good old fashioned diner style meals in Bothell. Crystal Creek is that one diner that offers a local feel and home cooked style meals. Great cheeseburger with AMAZING crinkle cut fries. A huge club sandwich with great bacon. Desserts are a plenty with great cookies, pies and cake. The cafe can get very busy during weekend breakfast or dinner time so be prepared to wait. Service is great but prices are at a premium for what you get, thus the reason for the 4-Star review. If they make bigger portion sizes or adjust pricing, Crystal Creek will be a 5-star hit. read more

This is all about the temperature of things. The food was luke warm but not hot, the coffee was also barely warm (and no one attempted to refill it til after our meal was eaten).... The waitress brought my vegetarian girlfriend a Bloody Mary with bacon ... we had already ordered the food and declared she eats no meat... so to neglect to mention the huge bacon chunk in the drink felt careless... I solved the problem by saying I'll just drink that one please get another with no meat for her.... I eat here with my Mom at least twice a month and the food is consistently yummy. My go-to is the Vege Hash with Avocado Crema - delicious! But what I appreciate the most is how they interact with my Mom who has dementia. The reception people are warm and welcoming, always greeting her like an old friend. The wait staff are equally awesome. Even though many are young and may not have had experience with dementia, they never blink an eye when Mom talks to them like she's known them forever. Anyone who treats Mom with this much warmth and kindness gets loads of bonus stars in my book. read more

The food was crazy good but it was really the staff that has me writing a review as we drive away. One waitress knew many patrons by name and greeted them. This place has gone from being a really good "comfort food" cafe to being absolutely gross. We had a late lunch there earlier this week and the food was absolutely awful - disgusting actually. Everything was served lukewarm. The Turkey they are using, which used to be roasted in-house is now sliced and processed garbage. The meatloaf is hideous - tastes like a sponge. Fries with the sloppy Reuben were under-cooked, limp and covered in grease. Do yourself a favor - skip this place and go to Arby's across the street - the food will actually be better. read more

Pretty good little diner. Kind of a challenge to get into, gotta wiggle your way behind the Arby's to the parking lot. Visited around noon on a sunday and there was a 15-20 minute wait. We were seated in about 10 minutes though. Bar seating is first-come first serve and you can order the whole menu there. Breakfast is served all day on Sunday which is awesome. I ordered a half order of the classic eggs Benedict and a cup of fruit (thankfully no melons! It has bananas, grapes, pineapple and strawberries). I wasn't too hungry so it hit the spot. The Benedict was gone in 3 or 4 bites and was well cooked and had the ideal balance of flavor and texture. I also ordered a mango mimosa which wasn't as mango-y as I wanted BUT! I had never seen it on a menu before so I was intrigued. The server was attentive and kept our coffee warm and water topped off. I don't really make posts but here goes... I knew there was a 45 minute wait but we waited even longer. Staff was very dismissive. Looked like girl at the front knew many people coming in before us who were getting seats before us despite waiting for 30 minutes. When asked how come people are getting seated before us she said there was an online wait list which didn't line up with due to how many people were there. When asked where we were in queue to be seated, we kept being told "6 people are ahead". More than a dozen people were called before us, not including the people who didn't show when called. When we were seated, we were seated away from everyone. The floor was empty by the time we were seated as well. One can only think that we were discriminated against as we were the only people of color here. Food was okay. Serving sizes were way smaller than when i used to come here, but prices are higher. Service was trash. Waited almost another hour for the food. Id give it less than 1 star if I could. read more

I have been going to Crystal Creek Cafe as our weekly thing for a few years now, and sometimes some servers stand out due to their extraordinary customer service towards us, the patrons, as Cedric always did every time we went there he went out of his way to greet us and make us feel like his favorite customers, I did notice he talked to others the same way, so I'm sure they felt the same. He sadly transfered, today that same level of service was matched by a hostess named, and I may be spelling her name wrong, Anika, (the waitress who provided her name wasn't sure of the spelling), she makes us feel welcome , and honestly it feels good, specially in today's world where everything is transactional with little to no human interaction/appreciation. I hope she gets promoted to waitress soon enough and we get to be her customers once in a while. read more
