I was looking for a local florist to send my mom flowers for her birthday and found Crystal Gardens on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I called in my order so I don't know what the store front looks like, but the customer service over the phone was great. I told them what I was looking for and my price range and they suggested that I look on their websites (they have two) for some examples. After doing so, I called in my order a day before I wanted the flowers delivered. Ordering was very easy. Although I didn't see the flowers in person, my mom said they were beautiful and she was pleasantly surprised. They looked great in the photo she took on her phone. I was hoping that the flowers would be delivered earlier in the day, but I don't think they were delivered until after 1PM (that was when my mom called me to say thank you). The delivery charge was also $10 even though the delivery was within Poway, but I think that is a standard delivery charge for most florists. I will definitely call Crystal Gardens again if I need another flower delivery in Poway. read more

We were told to get our flowers here for the miss poway. I came in and they told me I couldn't have any of the pretty flowers, but wanted me to take a bunch of their tiny roses that looked sad and like filler. (Plus the price was outrageous). She alerted me that UPS had failed to deliver a picture that we needed to be included in an arrangement for one of our fallen servicemen. I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for or what I wanted but I gave a brief explanation & was recommended & shown & told about some opinions & options that would work. The price was very reasonable. Flowers all looked alive and keep well. Even though they were busy and I was in a rush they made sure to make the flowers nice & not just grab and bunch all of them together all sloppy which I appreciated. My dad was recently put in charge of purchasing memorial flowers on behalf of the members in his community band, for a woman who had been a member of the band and who had died. We were in a bit of a hurry to get them to the mortuary before the family viewing, so I did a Google search on my cell phone and directed him to Crystal Gardens Florist. Located in a strip mall that's slightly less podunk and run-down than some of the other nearby strip malls, Crystal Gardens Florist is a cute business that has apparently been a community fixture for 25 years (as we learned from the celebratory banner above the entrance). Wow! The lady who helped us was very friendly and made a lot of cost-cutting suggestions, but I was very picky about the flowers used, since my dad allowed me to pick out the flowers that would be in the arrangement. I asked about calla lilies and was told that they only special-ordered those due to cost and how quickly they started to turn brown. I was kind of surprised, since other florists I'd been to had calla lilies on hand. They also didn't have any white gladiolus, just yellow and pink, which were too cheery for the occasion. In the end, I chose some pure white, fragrant lilies, white carnations, some kind of smaller white flower, and beautiful, royal purple columbines. The arrangement was put together in a mere 15 minutes, which was great. We were presented with a big, beautiful, and very regal flower arrangement that really fit the idea I had in mind. The whole thing only cost $59.99, and our budget was $50.00, but we had told the lady working that if she needed to add some extra flowers to make things perfect, to go ahead, because having the arrangement look beautiful was more important than a dollar amount. Crystal Gardens Florist gets 4 stars for great, kind service and beautiful flowers, but I subtracted 1 star because they didn't have some of the more expensive or unique flowers or quite as large a variety as I would have liked. If you're in the heart of Poway and need flowers, Crystal Gardens Florist is a great place to go. read more

I had a very brief (but positive)experience with this florist, hence the brief review. I wanted to send flowers to my wife at a large local office building. I wanted to try a local florist instead of an online vendor so I yelped up this place and saw they were around the corner. The woman that answered the phone was very nice and helpful. I did not know what I wanted, I just told her I wanted them in a price range and delivered today. She took my info quickly and got me going. My wife received the flowers a few hours later and was very pleased! (brownie points to me!)...I was very pleased as well knowing all I had to say was "Send my wife something nice for this amount of $$" and they would get it done in great order. The only fault I can give is they spelled "because" wrong on the card...LOL. read more

I am saddened to be writing this review. In February 2022, I ordered an arrangement from Crystal Gardens Florist in Poway with a request for delivery on the next Monday. They were quick to accept my payment and tip. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, no notification that they had fulfilled their end of the contract. Week 2, week 3, week 4, still no notification that they ever made the delivery. They clearly had my contact information as I received multiple advertisements from them each week. When I requested delivery confirmation by email, they returned what came across as a snippy response, "if you do not hear from us, everything should have been delivered as expected." Not only did this not answer my question, it was poor customer service. While I would like to support hometown businesses, Crystal Gardens' customer service has taught me that they are not interested in my business. read more

This flower shop is on top of it! I had called in to order a flower arrangement because one of our employee's mother passed away.. & the flowers were needed on in 3 days. I called in Wednesday & they were able to deliver the flowers on Saturday. The florist I spoke to, wish I can remember her name, was super sweet & helpful. Everything I was ordering was online.. so its hard not to be at the shop & actually see their work. I ordered a lavender arrangement & per our employee, it was perfect! He also took a picture of the arrangement & it looked exactly what I saw online. They're pricing is also good as well!
