I bought three office pants and 2 pairs of shoes and it only cost me a little over $20. Many of the clothes only cost $5 each and some were $3. Winning! Aside from clothes, they sell furniture and household goods. I even saw a printer for sale. This will definitely be my go-to for thrift stores in the future. :)

Ally has some really unique and stunning women's clothing, they have everything from sexy party dresses to basic t-shirts and skirts. I don't think anything in the store is over about $70 and trust me they are worth alot more. The girls on staff are usually wearing the hottest items from the season so it gives you a chance to have the clothing modelled for you before you buy! At the moment Ally is filled with soft dusky oranges, vibrant pinks and creamy whites all perfect for spring time fashion. There is usually a rack out the front as well as a few more inside that have items anywhere between $10 - $20! These can sometimes be last season but are usually just clothes on special. I struggle to even think about this store without wanting to go fill my wardrobe, the best thing is they also offer an online shop where you can order your items and have them shipped directly to your door.

The aisles are narrow and with so many people on phones or looking for products, you have to be patient or push your way through. The prices are competitive, but not fantastic. I looked at My Chemist and found some of the same prices. However, this place has a lot more to offer. The line gets long, but with eight cash registers going, the line moves quickly. Anything you need from a drug store is most likely in one of the aisles.

At the moment the store is full of trendy colours like soft pink, dusky orange and elegant black. The walls are lined top to bottom with necklaces, rings, earings bracelets. and bags. Although in a similar price bracket to some of it's competitors like Diva and Accessorize etc. I think the quality of Colette's products is a little better and their appearance a bit more classy. Colette Accessories often has great sales on their brand new items as well as their last season stock. Sales like buy 2 get the 3rd free, or 3 for $20 are just some of the ways the products are marketed. I find Colette's a great option not only for jewellery for myself but also great as gifts for my friends.

Obviously it would sell Sams (we ignored the apostrophe), things to help your Sam grow, things to train your Sam, dress ups for your Sam, toys, food and other Sam related equipment. We figured Sams probably came freeze-dried (a bit like sea monkeys) which explained why there could be a whole warehouse dedicated to them. I actually tried not to go in for a long time, because I didn't want to shatter the dream. This Sam's Warehouse (I've since discovered there are others) is a bit different to the rest. Imagine your local Reject Shop. Now, imagine it 3 times the size. Now, imagine it sells furniture and (probably) motorised scooters. You're there. No Sams though, pity.

It's well stocked, often I stumble across books here that I haven't seen in much larger bookstores. I was impressed with the range of Lonely Planet travel books as an example. Furthermore, the staff are extremely knowledgeable about books. Almost every time I'm in here I overhear the staff having detailed conversations with customers about particular authors or novels. Today I found out that Beaumaris Books runs specials events for newly released books. These events are typically hosted at Malt cafe across the road (there's loads of information on Beaumaris Books' website or you can join their email list). If you're in the area, Beaumaris Books is well worth a look!

While this is a regional art gallery, it doesn't necessarily mean that the art isn't particularly…read moregood, because it is. Mind you, like a lot of the regional galleries that I have visited they tend to show case artworks from local residents, and the collection in this gallery certainly did emphasise the Mornington Peninsula. The other thing I particularly liked about the place was that it was free entry, but then again a lot of these galleries are also free. Yeah, this place is pretty good, and the works are forever changing as well, so you can visit multiple times and always find something new.

Del Kathryn Barton won this year with a painting of Hugo Weaving but you will find a favourite with so many to choose from. The lovely Asher Keddie was painted by her lover, Vincent Fantuozzo which captured the "in love" glowing face. I liked Michael Zavhros painting called "Bad Dad" with inferences of Caravaggio. But you make up your own mind. Better to go during the week if possible as weekends are very busy. It's the best $12 worth.
