Ask the Community - CSU Global

Was anyone actually able to find a job in their field with their degree from here?

Yes, I was able to. I went from retail management to Help Desk Supervisor in less than 2 years.

Any one doing an mba program how many words or pages are required? Are the the assignments lengthy? Has any been to UOP and transferred into CSU-GC compare the academic standards?

Louis, while we do not offer an MBA, we do offer a master's in business. You can get more information about that here:…

Only after enrolling do I find out through a professor that they are phasing out all in person classes for the business school. Even so - they still take my money. Additional fees are charged for students who are enrolled "in person" yet only 2/10 courses are even offered in person... That number is soon to be 0. So I am effectively paying in-person fees but not being offered in person courses... On top of that, they claim recent budget cuts are the reason for their CUTTING SECURITY in the building. Students are left without security more often than not, and the ID access system they have is faulty and malfunctioning due to an overload of volume. This school is a fraud. Go to CSU Global instead. It's cheaper, and the online courses are much more in depth.

Here are two examples: I had a professor that had given me a D in class at the end of the semester but my actual Grade was a B. I found out my grade after the semester was over so I contacted her so many times. In the end, it took me until the start of the next semester to resolve issue. Pros: Close to work and life in the city. Cons: They will suck the money out of your pocket

There is not good help available for it and it was a major hurdle. I believe the difficulty of this program is a major reason that I did not graduate from here despite having a ridiculous amount of both transfer credits and credits from the school. *The graduation rate is low for a reason* 2) The counseling center decided I was oppositional and had me list all times I had been oppositional throughout my life. After doing this I ended up believing it was true and this caused significant problems for me. I was told many negative things about myself but nothing positive. 3) I was told that the help line was not affiliated with the counseling center and then after calling I got multiple calls from the counseling center 4) One of the people at the dean of students office asked me very invasive questions including what medications I was on, if I would continue taking them, and what the side effects were. She also wanted me to write about how I would succeed at work in the future because she believed that I could not. It was not something she did to help me. She is controlling and should not work with vulnerable populations or anyone who needs help. 5) I was yelled at violently by someone at the call center. She not only kept her job but was moved to different positions within the college without being let go.

The education is what you want make of it and the amount of energy you want to put in. The old "party school" designation, never applied to all the students, just those who were self designed to participate. They have so many honored nationally recognized programs, it would be nice for all students to take advantage . There are museums on campus and overall ,a pretty university space. I called ahead to the Veterans Center, and the gentleman I spoke with informed me that they do not offer tours. I found this ironic because the community college I currently attend, as well as several other universities I plan to apply to, have all had veterans centers that were significantly more helpful than CU's. UCLA, for instance, arranged a full campus tour led by a fellow veteran student. After the tour, I had a 30-minute question-and-answer session with the head of the UCLA Veterans Success Center. In contrast, CU's Veterans Center simply told me, "We don't do tours. You can go online and look at our checklist for more information." Based on this experience, I am unlikely to apply to CU. First impressions are everything, and I do not want to be part of an environment that lacks meaningful support for veterans. CU has a lot of room for improvement.
