I have had the pleasure of conducting my studies at CSUG since 2017. It is now 2025 and I will be finishing my Master's with them in less than four weeks. The experience has been nothing but remarkable, which is very upsetting to see a good number of negative reviews. All you have to do is follow the university guidelines, ensure you've read and understood them clearly, and COMMUNICATE... especially with your professors and student success counselors. As a full-time mom, employee, entrepreneur, and many other titles- CSUG has allowed me to accomplish a dream that I believed would be difficult because of my non-optional responsibilities outside of college. I'm attending CSU Global currently with just a few courses left and if I had to do it over again I would attend another institution. There have been some helpful instructors, but they allow some things to happen with their part time faculty where there is minimal requirements, interaction, and focus on the materials as they assign grades that are not inline with the work. If you are attending or choose to attend, make sure you think it through as I wish I had done more research before signing up at this institution especially since the most contact I receive is when tuition payments are due which borderlines on being harassed. read more

Correspondence Course University is what they should call it if you work for them. Students have two weeks to turn in assignments with only a 10% penalty after one week..there's no incentive to turn in work on time just whenever and if you're an instructor your frequently spending all day grading not only the assignments due that week but the past ones that come in at the last minute. You can easily pass classes not turning in assignments until day 13. Make the students realize the importance of submitting assignments late, the real world doesn't operate like this...make the late penalty 50% after one week. Then students will be more timely in their assignment submissions. At least grading is due on Thursday. read more

Took one class in Python and ended up dropping the class and started self-teaching myself Python. I am learning more by just teaching myself. The professors have no passion for teaching, and it is all about just reading textbooks. The professors do not really help you and answer questions. They also restrict you from getting the versions of textbooks that work best for your learning style. I ended up getting a free version of a Python textbook on Amazon and actually was able to follow along and learn. read more

Buyer beware with this institution. Prospective students should know that there is minimal involvement and assistance from the faculty and the majority of support is peer led by fellow classmates. My "teacher" was really only a class facilitator whose primary role was to insure assignments were turned in on time. He offered no real help or value in insuring that students obtained any true command or understanding of the the subject matter. You also get minimal time (2 weeks) to determine if the course is working for you before you have to pay in full. This graduate school sucks. If you are pursuing a non thesis graduate degree they assign you an advisor that has hundreds of students. This advisor doesnt reach out or help make a plan with you. These advisors don't even graduate within the area they are advising. It sucks. What sucks more is if you need help you can't just google a number to call to get help, you have to email a thousand people just to see what classes to take and they tell you to check their catalog which isnt helpful. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING TO CSU-GLOBAL 1. PRE-ENROLLMENT/WITHDRAW HARASSMENT What others are saying in their reviews about being constantly harassed by CSU Global is true. If you show even the tiniest hint of interest in enrolling, prepare yourself for an avalanche of emails and phone calls if you give them any sort of contact info. I also continued to receive phone calls, emails, and voicemails after leaving CSU Global. 2. CLASSES Classes are DIY. If you enjoy spending hours and hours reading textbooks, articles, and academic journals by yourself with little to no guidance or lectures from your professor, then this is the place for you. Oh and some classes will have assigned reading that has NOTHING to do with the class material. Busywork with no guidance abounds. Most classes are a slew of essays, PowerPoint projects, and required class discussions on a discussion board. Every class I've done follows the exact same formula, which is learning the material yourself and regurgitating it through essays, posts, and PowerPoint projects with little guidance or help. Of course you're supposed to study material on your own and facilitate a lot of your own learning in college. No duh! The issue is that CSU Global is literally learn all the material and facilitate the class yourself, ON YOUR OWN. This is horrible when you're taking classes with difficult and confusing material. Unless you thoroughly enjoy headaches like some of the condescending jerks on here accusing students of wanting to be "spoon fed," don't go here. Y'all must be taking Intro to Gender Studies if it's so easy to teach yourself all the material. 3. PROFESSORS Professors who work here are very obviously collecting an extra paycheck. They have such little involvement in the classes they may as well not exist. I've had multiple professors who gave me 100% on every assignment with the same generic copy-paste comments. I've also had the opposite problem where professors would dock points with little/no explanation, and when asked, I got zero response. 4. ACADEMIC ADVISORS The academic advisors who work for CSU-Global drop like flies. I had 6 different academic advisors in the span of a year because they kept quitting. There would be periods of time where weeks would go by and I didn't have an advisor because they couldn't find a replacement. Many of these people (and other CSU Global staff) are completely incompetent, rude, and unorganized. But before I continue the negative review, I would like to give a shout-out to the ONLY student advisor who was awesome and his name was Chris Sarno. Thank you to Chris for being such a rockstar and actually being super helpful! 5. SPECIAL JERK DISTINCTION TO TRACEY PARSA & AMANDA PETTS These two women are the epitome of incompetence and discourteousness. It still blows my mind that these two women think it's OK to treat students (who are providing your paycheck by the way) with such contempt and disregard. I was assigned to Tracey Parsa for an advising appointment because my most recent advisor quit. The hour long appointment was for constructing a graduation plan, and not only was Tracey unhelpful and rude, she basically told me to do it all myself because I wasn't a freshman and "we don't normally do graduation plans for transfers that already have credits." WHAT??! Remind me again what your purpose is then Tracey, because every other university I've attended was happy to do this. She also failed to email me the documents I called student advising for in the first place. Amanda Petts is another student advisor who I had the misfortune of crossing paths with. I had already made the decision to leave CSU Global and Amanda had called me to ask about my experience and why I decided to leave. I was blunt and honest with her about my experience (but in a respectful manner) and she had the audacity to get angry and aggressive with me. This woman started to accuse me of lying, claiming that I was making up MY OWN EXPERIENCE and that I had no idea what I was talking about. It really blows my mind that anyone would think it's appropriate to invalidate someone's personal experience and then accuse them of lying, but Amanda sure did. 6. CONCLUSION As you have likely already deduced from my lengthy review, CSU Global is a horrible organization you should certainly not attend. I've since transferred to an actual, respected institution, and guess what? NONE of my CSU Global credits transferred because they're all garbage. The credits I obtained from CSU Fort Collins, however, did. The reason I point this out is because CSU Global and CSU Fort Collins are NOT the same school, though CSU Global recruitment staff will tell you they are affiliated. The level of expertise and communication from the professors has been much appreciated. In addition, the resume assistance and counseling services have aided me in a recent promotion. I've been able to successfully implement what I'm learning in class with my current full time job. I've received high praise from upper-level management and the material I'm learning continues to provide me with new and better ways to lead my team. I waited a while to write this review to allow myself to calm down about CSU-Global and its policies. Most of the teachers are alright, and I had minimal problems in most of my classes. On the positive side, I did not mind the work and the format of discussion and critical thinking assignments weekly. I did have a revolving door of student advisors, which, if you read my entire review, will see caused some issues later. There were two teachers that were so terrible I enrolled in a different school. The first was Elizabeth Skiwot, who should not be a teacher because she doesn't teach. She only marks down papers with next to no feedback and expects you to know how to fix it, in an introductory course. There is another post about her, and I had all the same issues,s, and everyone on the grade my professor site has all the same problems. The second instructor I had issues with was Chris Kasch. He requested we use quotes from the textbook in every discussion post, every reply, and in every critical thinking assignment. I brought up that this was not school policy, which is we should use quotes sparingly, and they should never be above 20% of written work. I was told this is a good writing convention. The course I took was intercultural communication. I have been to 41 countries and work in an international business where I speak to people in five different countries weekly. This class should have been an easy A for me, but I was consistently marked down for my writing. In every single paper, he marked me down for not have a thesis statement. Then I was marked down for not using my headings as questions. I pointed out that it is not APA formatting to use headings as questions, and I was told again it is a good writing convention. I complained to my student advisor starting in week two about how awful of an instructor he was and that his requirements for the course were contradictory to school policy. I was told to carry on, and I could always dispute my grade. So I carried on, I stopped communicating at all with the instructor. I should have never been put in a position as a student to where I had to decide whether to meet the instructor's guidelines or the schools. I have not before, nor since this instructor ever been told my papers do not have a thesis statement. I ended up with an A- over 6 points on my grade. I appealed my grade stating the instructor didn't follow APA guidelines and my grade appeal was denied. The problem here is you don't know if the teacher is crazy until about week two depending on what assignments you have due. By this time if you withdraw, full payment is owed. Most other colleges allow you to withdraw with a partial refund during so many weeks but not CSU-Global. Maybe if I had a student counselor that wasn't brand new at her job this situation could have been avoided because I started saying he was a problem in week 2. I have been accepted into a different school and will be completing my degree there, which I have had no issues with instructors and will be graduating shortly. tl;dr Most of the teachers are great, but if you get a bad one, there is no way to get out unless you pay for the entire course. This review is regarding the online Global Campus. All of the classes I took at CSU-GC contained material that was riddled with broken links, typos, and incorrect test answers. The professors do not seem to write the lectures or assignments, and most are unfamiliar with their content. They are not able to correct these problems. There are frequent library database outages that make writing essays more difficult. The general education classes were comprehensive. You should expect to spend 30-40 hours a week on each general ed class, about double the amount of time that the syllabus recommends. The other classes rely heavily on business or work experience, contrary to the information I was given when I applied to the first time freshman program. I have experienced poor communication with all departments, from professors to student accounts to advisors. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated about the lost time and money I have spent on this college. This is by no means an exhaustive description of my difficulties, which have reached the point where I cannot continue. I cannot recommend this school. read more

These reviews really show who did their research and who didn't. I enrolled in February of 2017 with half of my credits completed. I went in prepared for what was coming. I researched APA style (you NEED to know this in order to succeed), and paid extreme attention to what professors wanted out of me. With online colleges, you'll find that these professors come from different Universities, so their expectations vary GREATLY. With that being said, that's honestly not much different than any other University. You'll ALWAYS have a bad professor, and you'll always have a couple professors with different expectations/ways of doing things. That's life. Online colleges are no different, and it's silly to think that they would be. I ended up finding out I was pregnant a couple weeks after my first course started, so I worked closely with my counselor to graduate early. Take advantage of the connection with your counselor. If I had an issue, or needed to reconfigure my schedule, she was SO helpful. I had a couple not-so-good professors. They had a different way of doing things, so I had to pay attention to what they wanted. I would have to acclimate to their way of doing things. I only had ONE professor who I had concrete issues with. He would copy and paste things, and even find a way to do that incorrectly. Professor Hilton Chan, I believe. There was one test question that started off asking about a soccer team, and ended with a scientist. A math problem. There was literally no relation. Just a question with a lot of words and no meaning. I struggled with him, but still got an A. I will admit, I got a C and a B in my first term because I struggled to get used to the college's way of doing things. But once I actually gave it all my effort, I only got As. I ended up graduating with honors. Don't make excuses, be active in your education, and pay attention. That's the only way you'll succeed in any college, and CSU Global is no different. Colorado State University - Global Campus is under the same umbrella as Colorado State - Pueblo Campus and Colorado State University - Fort Collins Campus. It's called the "Colorado State University System". They represent three schools mentioned above and are all accredited through the Higher Learning Commission. Arizona State Michigan State Ohio State Ball State Oklahoma State and so on....and you can take a look here. https://www.hlcommission.org I live in California, and the Cal State System has 22 campuses. Colorado has 3. If you dig and do some research, it's relatively easy to find. About the school, you will learn to write in APA format (look it up). There's a lot of writing in the class, but you'll learn a bunch through research conducted "online" as it's an "online school", and they do it right! You'll have some strict teachers, and some that are kick back, but that's the same anywhere you go. The discussions forums are actually pretty cool and you'll learn a lot from others experiences. This is the perfect school for working adults who want to obtain a bachelors degree or who have an associate degree, and they're looking to complete another 60 credits or so to obtain a bachelors degree. CSU Global makes earning a degree easy! I only wish I'd started sooner. Each 8-week course almost always has assignments of: -Reading textbook chapters, a self-guided lecture, and suggested readings. ---I usually don't spend more than 30 mins/week skimming these because I go back to reference it so much while completing assignments. -1 weekly peer discussion post on a given topic relevant to that module. ---Due on Thursdays ---Takes me about 30-60 mins -2 weekly peer discussion responses ---Due on Sundays ---Takes me about 30 mins -1 critical thinking assignment ---Due on Sundays ---Usually Allows a choice between 2 options ---Usually a short essay or presentation ---Takes me 3-4 hours. -1 weekly Mastery assignment ---Due on the last day of the 8-week course (I try to do mine weekly) ---multiple-choice quiz with unlimited attempts ---Usually takes about 30 mins of retrying before I get 100% -1 Portfolio Project ---Due on the last day of the 8-week course ---Usually a long essay or presentation with a choice between 2 topics) for the semester. ---By completing assigned Portfolio "Milestones" a few times throughout the 8-weeks which are usually just creating an outline or finding references, the Portfolio Project usually takes about 6-8 hours accumulated throughout the 8 weeks. Received disability accommodations and was approved double time, however I was only given 2 days for double time and the formula for extended time was not correctly used. This place is run like a for-profit institution. I had numerous conversations regarding transferring in prior coursework with many faculty members, however the Jerid Counterman is trying to get me to take more credits to get a diploma. Why do I need to explain numerous times that I already have the credits and need to have them transferred in? I was quoted by another faculty members that my file was fully assessed, however the file was not because had they seen my transcripts it would appear that I have more than 100 credits. These people waste all of your time and lack morale! Do not come here I am warning you all about the problems in advanced. This is a great school for self-motivated people. I work full time and can manage the workload. I've yet to have a negative experience with anyone representing this school. I think all the people who don't like the school just don't know what they signed up for. I've found my experience so far to be great. I am a bit upset to read some of the negative reviews on here. You have to understand, this is online learning and it will require you to be very organized and disciplined with your time. The whole idea about online learning is that the majority of the learning you will be doing on your own with some guidance from the instructor. Some folks can't handle this type of learning, so please give it some thought as to whether this might be for you. I have always been the type to figure things out and learn on my own, so this style is something that doesn't bother me. With any school, a big part of what you get out of it is what you put in. It does not matter if it's an Ivy League School, if you're not willing to learn or try then its a complete waste of everyone's time. Some great things about CSU Global is that you get to study during your own times (asynchronous). Instructors are readily available, most of the time only a phone call away. Setting up a Zoom session could be set up within the same day or the next in most cases if you are having trouble in a specific area. The tutor section has been very helpful, and there is always the option of a "drop-in session" in which an instructor assists via a whiteboard and chat. Live options are also available by scheduling in advance via calendar. Their APA writing section is also great! Once you are done with an essay assignment it could be submitted for review and you will get feedback within 24 hours or so. This has helped me improve my writing and grades in the classroom, and gives me a chance to improve on it before sending it in for final grading As far as the online campus portal, all of the information is clearly laid out and easy to navigate. You can tell a great deal of effort went in to make this a good experience. Within the portal, I can easily navigate to my school finances, the canvas, writing section, tutoring section and general support / chat sessions, etc. If you're on the fence, don't be. This is a great school for anyone, but is particularly convenient for working adults who may have a full time job and a family, where setting your own schedule to learn is essential. That will continue to discourage and stress the hell out of someone. Waking up everyday knowing that one day you could lose money from your salary. That is BULLYING! People have families. -Be more open to advancing the companies technology. There is entirely too much technology for remote employees to have various complications. Also advance and upgrade your hardware as well. There is no way a remote employee should be mailed out a (docking station, laptop, headset, keyboard, monitor, web cam, mouse phone cords, and a phone... Nothing wireless by the way. I think my office floor looked like an electrical station.) Like WTH!!! Upgrading could deplete so much of what is currently being used. Update- I recently accepted a corporate job with a Fortune 500 company that offered me 25% increase in pay and it's all thanks to my degree from CSU-Global. Throughout the interview process, no one batted an eye that my degree came from an online university and the hiring manager and director were impressed that I managed a full-time work schedule along with a full-time school schedule (all while maintaining a 4.0). I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity and know my degree had a huge impact in my pay increase and my ability to lock down this job. I'll reiterate what I said in the first review- I strongly believe a degree from here will most benefit someone who is already in their career field. I started my journey with CSU in February 2016 and I am about to graduate with my B.S. in Human Services. I cannot say enough about how excellently the format of this program worked with my full time work schedule. Each and every class is made up of 8 week modules. Generally, each module will have one discussion post and two peer replies, a mastery exercise (quiz/test) and a critical thinking assignment which is usually a 3-5 page paper. On week 8, a portfolio project is due which is usually an 8-10 page cumulative research paper. What is so great about this, is that you can plan your week knowing what is due, and know how much time you have to do it. No surprise projects or quizzes here. Professors are always available when you need them, and respond pretty quickly. Helpful hint: KNOW APA citation style, if you don't know it when you begin you definitely will by the end of your courses. The professors are strict on the formatting. I agree with some of the past reviews that this school is very writing intensive. Be prepared to write more research papers than you ever have, and also be prepared to move through material more quickly than any traditional school could. I am so thankful to have found CSU Global, and am already looking at a multitude of positions providing me with a 50% pay increase after I graduate next month. I am a current student majoring in project management with a specialization in construction management. I will start by stating that CSU-global offers all of the tools and opportunity necessary for success. I have been working in construction management for 14 years, and the content covered in the PM and CM courses is more than adequate for the industry. The program offers adequate support to ensure students are successful in meeting their educational goals. However, this is a program that requires a special kind of student. To be a "good learner" is not enough. Online learning requires additional strength in prioritization, communication, and initiative. These are the ingredients for success in my opinion. If you are interested in obtaining your undergraduate or graduate, and want a quality degree that is regionally accredited then CSU-Global is a strong option. There are other regionally accredited online programs, but CSU Global is equal to them all. read more

If you have a medically diagnosed disability this is not the school for you, at least now. Like another post explains, I was dropped in a similar fashion over my disability. In a nutshell, I was never given the accommodation I needed which led to an inability to submit assignments. As a result, CSU Global disenrolled me. Yes, I contacted every department I could to get assistance and spoke to many kind staff members who empathized but had no authority to simply fix it. After being told I would receive my ADA accommodation and to hang tight while they got it in place, I received an email informing me I was disenrolled. I thought it was in mistake, an autogenerated system response. After all, I was told everything was fine. I called the next day to eventually find out that CSU Global decided it would be too hard to put me back into my class as too much time elapsed since I was disenrolled..while they were arranging my disability accommodations. Flabbergasted, I said do it anyhow. I'm exhausted from being abused over abject nonsense. They are petty. I have no idea why. Makes zero sense. Who benefits?? Because a new session was beginning, I was offered to either be put back into my class or the new one beginning soon. In my situation, it didn't much matter (or so I thought). The work was completed. It was significantly easier for CSU Global to put me in the new class rather than "retro-fitting" me into my actual class. Fine, not trying to double-down on my preference. If all I had to do was submit the assignments over the next 8 weeks, fine. My success counselor enrolled me the same day which was stunning as nothing had ever been done timely. I was feeling better like the painful experience was in the past. I was doing well in the new class, turning in the assignments without problem because I had my ADA accommodation. I breathed a huge sigh of relief. Had I not gotten this class done, I would not graduate in May, take my state's bar exam in July, and start my judicial clerkship in August-- all of which CSU Global understood was at risk. Then I received an autogenerated message, I think, saying I was going to be disenrolled if I did not pay for my class. Huh? Again, probably an error in the system so I calmed down and called the phone number in the email. I spoke to a lovely woman who again sympathized, said my situation was awful, that she'd like to help me but had to turn this over to someone higher up that could fix the problem with my account. Apparently, notes are in my account so she knew who to contact in her department to fix my account. She assured me she was doing it the moment we hung up and that I'd get confirmation soon. I never heard back. I had my friend call because I had class, no call back to either of us. She tried a few times. Then, if you're still reading, and I hope you are because I took this time that I don't have b/c of law school, so that this doesn't happen to you, CSU Global treated me even worse. CNN invited me to be a guest at their televised Presidential town hall. While in attendance, at 4:53 MST, I received a text message from an unknown number. I thought it was spam given our current problem with robocalling. I'm glad I looked. It was from my success counselor Cheerstie with CSU Global informing me I had until 5 pm to generate and pay them $1,500 or face permanent disenrollment. SEVEN minutes to leave a television set, as the audience was given the cue to clap and cheer as the first Presidential candidate took the stage. Please see my photo if you think I exaggerate. I was stunned and became sick to my stomach. Because I was prevented from leaving to call CSU Global I responded to the text sent to me. My full response is cut off in the photo I uploaded so I can tell you that as of 24 hours later I have yet to receive any communication from the school. CSU Global, my success counselor Cheerstie, my admissions counselor, and the ADA office all knew what was at stake for me. I was taking one class to complete my law degree at another university. Without my three-credit class, I will not graduate in May, will not be able to sit for the state bar exam in July or start my judicial clerkship in August. All because of the abuse I endured from CSU Global. Ironically, I'm, was, taking a Criminal Justice Fraud class, and what they did meets every element of the crime of fraud. At this point, I'm gathering energy and wiping my tears to call CSU Global yet again. Their automatic phone response system says all calls are recorded, and I hope to god recordings can truly be accessed. As a law student who went to down this path to advocate for our rights, I feel compelled to try to get CSU Global to do the right thing. That said, I also feel a complaint with the CO Office of Attorney General is likely warranted. If anyone reading is so inclined, it's easy to register a complaint. BEWARE! CSU-Global is not for students looking for a traditional college education and it's not for individuals interested in career changes or for first-time college students. CSU-Global was designed for adults who already have careers but lack an undergraduate or graduate degree that current or prospective employers require for further advance. I learned this the hard way by graduating from CSU-Global and the lesson cost me over 30K in student loans. Don't trust any statistics posted on the CSU-Global website the information is deceitful. Most importantly don't trust website like thebestschools.org, collegechoice.net, or even Google search results for the top online universities, etc. These types of websites have no clue as to what online university is the best or provide the best online degrees in cattle herding. I am certain these websites are paid by the schools that are being promoted within the website. Don't be fooled by thinking a website is accredited because it ends in .org, .net, .edu, domain names can easily be purchased. These types of websites wouldn't exist if they weren't generating some type of revenue. The best way to research an online university is to search for your careers professional association website. Another solid option is to search for the top-rated companies that would be your dream job and see what schools they hire from. Many even have internship programs already affiliated with specific schools. Online schools/universities cannot even remotely be compared to ivy league schools, private schools, etc. in fact nothing is comparable and shouldn't be considered. Traditional Colleges / Universities hire professional educators, teachers, professors, etc. and CSU-Global hires instructors or what they call industry experts or something along those lines. Some may have PhDs but this doesn't mean they can teach, most even have full-time jobs and CSU-Global is their side hustle. CSU-Global claims to be public not for profit state institution education is their first priority and primary focus is support. That is a statement that I find hard to believe and even question if they are truly accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. After reading a number of these reviews, this is what I should've done in the beginning. This is NOT a real university. This is a place where a person "tried" to be an actual professor at an actual school and failed. You can literally get more points by not doing anything compared to actually really trying. Everything is copy and paste. Funny, the one thing they say is how they dislike it but whatever course you take that's all your professor is doing. This is not a college for minorities. If you are a minority run the other way especially for HR Management. Shawn Entrikin is the absolute WORST man (no need in calling him a doctor I'm sure it's a fake ) possible. In a group setting of peers all Caucasian, you will notice the "tone" of his responses as poor. Next to that, he will NOT answer any emails or text like he says he will. My first semester here was truly great. I had amazing guidance but for some odd reason they change your advisors and that is the last thing they should do. Once this semester ends I'm definitely going elsewhere. No one should go through this especially not with adults of the same or younger age. read more

Colorado State University Global Campus has been a great option for me as I work full-time. The local 4-year colleges around me do not offer night/online classes for my major. I did not want to attend National/Phoenix because I personally believe they are way overpriced. That is when I began my search for all-online schools and ultimately chose CSU Global Campus. What to expect if you choose CSU Global is: -Friendly and welcoming advising staff. I have a great advisor and sometimes when she is not available to speak to, there is always someone else that can help you 9 times out of 10. I really like that. Also, they accepted a significant amount of my units I already took at a local community college. -A very structured classroom setup. Every class is set up the same exact way with required reading & lectures, a weekly mastery quiz, discussion board posts, critical thinking assignments, and a final portfolio project at the end of the 8 week term. I have read mixed reviews about this as some people found it very repetitive and "boring", but I do like structure and knowing what to expect without "adapting" to an individual professor's teaching style. Although I do believe professors do add their personal touch to each of the courses. -One thing I like the most about their setup is 2 classes every 8 weeks. The classes are a bit accelerated, but it is nice to only focus on 2 classes at a time. -I would say 98% of the professors respond quickly to your e-mails and are very good at their job. There have been maybe 1 or 2 classes where the professors weren't as responsive, but they were still good quality. They all have real-world experience which I find very valuable in a professor. Overall, it is easy for me to recommend CSU Global Campus to family, friends, colleagues, and even strangers. I would not recommend it to people who are not good with time management. BEWARE OF TIME COMMITMENTS AND DECEPTIVE RECRUITMENT PRACTICES I enrolled in CSU Global's Criminal Justice Program and began taking classes in May. I'Ve found the course content to be challenging and have learned a lot in the course of my research and writing papers. If you work full time, you really need to be aware of the time commitment required to produce quality work on time. This is where I struggled though I don't feel this is completely my fault. When I was still in the pre-enrollment phase, I asked my enrollment counselor how many hours I should expect to put in per week for each class. She told me that most students averaged about 5-10 hours per class each week and some students average less. When I began my two classes and reviewed each syllabus I was shocked regarding the expectations for time commitment. One syllabus stated 10-24 hours per week and the other stated 14-20 hours per week. This is obviously much more time than I expected to put in. I've also resorted to taking vacation and personal time away from work in an effort to keep up with my assignments. Unfortunately, I had to request what is referred to as an "Incomplete Grade" which is an extension of time to complete certain outstanding assignments. I'm updating this review to indicate that I am still taking classes at CSU Global although only one at a time while working full time. Additionally, I am taking advantage of their alternative credit options to fulfill certain requirements at a much lower cost. For example, I am taking CLEP exams for courses such as Sociology and Humanities at $80 per exam instead of taking the 8 week course for over $1k. So far I've obtained additional credits this way and I've saved a good chunk of money doing so. They also offer Competency Based Exams so if you are good at memorizing material and taking tests, you can test out of certain courses at a much lower cost. This is a solid online university with CSU's reputation of providing a quality education. read more

I find it hard to believe that someone can't excel at this school. If this school has received negative remarks or feedback...most likely, that's because the student giving that feedback didn't put forth the time and energy into their school work. I worked FT and had a PT job, while completing my BA here and graduated with a great GPA. There will be papers and discussions and hours! of work....but that's because you're getting you BA degree. Hi, I am currently enrolled in CSU Global campus. As a means to obtain education, I highly recommend CSU Global. My entire experience has been great so far in terms of interacting with the advisors, staff, and instructors. Everyone are very helpful and responsive. The materials are very good, informative, and also challenging. As some mentioned, students take two classes every eight weeks and this is where I would warn potential students. Being an online education does not necessarily mean easier, you do need to dedicate time to study and submit the assignments and portfolio on the 8th week of class. This is where I am actually struggling and in jeopardy of failing. If you are a very busy professional and an active parent you will really need to be honest with how much time you can dedicate for studying and research (research meant obtaining information from scholarly reviewed sources). They do evaluate you prior to enrolling but you have to be honest with yourself on the evaluation. There are plenty of resources and as I mentioned, instructors and advisers are very helpful and accommodating but in the end, you do need to make the time to meet the requirements and truly be able to learn something. Do not make the same mistake I made by over estimating the actual time I have available for studies.. I highly recommend this school and in spite of my struggles (my own fault) it is truly a wonderful and educational experience. read more

I transferred to CSU global from a junior college in California. I work full time and am not able to make it to a brick and mortar school. I am very pleased at how easy it is to contact someone at CSU. I never have issues with my financial aid or selecting my classes. They make everything very easy on their online portal and the level of education is great. I feel challenged but at the same time I don't feel overwhelmed so I am still able to focus on my career. I am a current student in the Masters program for Project Management @ CSU Global. I would not recommend this school to anyone! CSU global is an absolute, get you signed up, get your money and forget about you school. The curriculum is a joke, teachers have even admitted to not writing it, they don't do anything for the material, all they do is "grade" papers. Half the time they don't even respond to your discussion postings and don't offer any feedback on assignments. I just recently got my final portfolio project for an entire course finished, 35% of my total grade, I got 100% and one line of feedback, two words "Great Paper". Really? A 12 page paper, not one mark and two words of feedback. I doubt the professor ever read it. This school is just another university created to get student loan interest into the government's coffers. read more
