I would not recommend this service and the stars if zero was an option this would be it. But unfortunately many people RELY on them and their services are terrible and 75% of their drivers are UNFRIENDLY and RUDE especially when you greet them or thank them for getting you to the locations ESPECIALLY the make drivers. They literally hate their job and definitely just doing it for the pay and maybe the benefits I understand clearly they encounter some very ride and disgusting behavior however if you have a handful showing appreciation change your NASTY Attitude and DEMEANOR for those few. They are forever LATE and no apologies but let the rider be late they will then continue their merry way...Sone drivers feel they can drive real slow or be the last to get to the pickup location and the last to departure after their clearance ...Let me not get started on the condition of these buses the seats are extremely dirty/filthy these customer out their nasty shoes on the seats like it's their living room. The floors are filthy with trash and pretty much all the windows are BROKEN they do NOT close they close it the bus drive pop right back open all the locks are BROKEN that's will not working for these colds days since September/October to present SMH ‍ They smoke their vapes, NO HEADPHONES AND LOUD MUSID AND CONVERSATION that's rude and distracting drivers says NOTHING and drink Alcohol on the bus in the back Lay out back there like a couch etc. I wonder why do you pay maintenance what are they doing to these buses absolutely NOTHING. I have seen a passenger got off the bus went from a drunken state and I am sure someone sat in that disgusting mess. The seats needs to be sanitized every time on goes into the GARAGE. Or bring back the hard seats where they clan be cleaned by wiping down. People ride these buses and then go home to sit on beds and other furnitures. Someone said the saw cockroaches etc. on the bus .. Yet you raise the fare what service is the people getting for the price???? Since Covid it seems they let go of taking care of these buses. I have noticed that the buses going to Wallingford/Meriden at night since the shift changes seems to be the last bus to leave the Green after all the others SMH..The Foxon Rd bus to ShopRite route sucks because 645/650pm is the last bus what about the employees who works at ShopRite, Rite Aid, CVS etc. so inconsiderate to them not everyone can afford Ubers/Lyfts or getting the shift to leave at the time of that last bus. They are also always late going up that area in the noontime then you see all the Hamden: Brookside buses in multiples and triple back to back. My experience after a full year of riding the bus. Wish I didn't have to take the bus to work, but can't afford the parking downtown. Typically in the morning the buses are more on time--afternoon buses going from New Haven towards Hamden are NEVER on time. Do not trust the schedule. Some of the bus drivers are very nice; some of them are meh--this I don't care about too much. More irritatingly, I've had buses pass me (on the opposite side of the road where the stop was), have them go off route (resulting in my having to wait yet another 30 minutes for the next bus), and even had a bus driver force me off the bus at a random street because she didn't want to finish the route, and proceeded to drive down a different street in a random direction. I don't know where to start with the public transportation in New Havens CT transit. When you arrive at your bus stop almost always the bus is running late , however when your running late and rushing to the bus stop then magically the bus will fly by suddenly on time. CT transit can be unmercifully late getting you to your destination and God forbid you have to be at work that day. To make it plain you only get one chance when traveling by bus to be where you have to go on time. so plan well in advance and don't trust the schedule.
