Anyway, this place was an absolute delightful place to stay in Wallaroo. Not only is it pretty centrally located, but the rooms were gorgeous. We ended up having rooms in the main building, though there are other rooms outside. I guess the ones in the building were cool, or at least the one we had because there was this delightful balcony which gave us great views of the town, and the harbour. Oh, and the service was pretty awesome as well.

The owners have spent a lot of time and effort on the quaintness and feel of the place. They were very friendly and accommodating, we had nice conversations. However, the catch is that while it is a short drive into town, it is a moderately long walk there and back. However, the motel isn't bad, and it certainly does happen to have a decent place to grab a meal, and the views, particularly from the restaurant, are pretty good too. Mind you, checking it can be a bit tricky during the day, namely because you have to go down to the caravan park.

The food was wonderful and the wine fitted perfectly. The ambience was also warm and welcoming. We were very pleasantly surprised, and despite our early expectations of semi-rural Yorke Peninsular, this evening was better than anything we've seen in Adelaide. The guest chef was supported by the regular team, who all performed really well. Apparently the proprietors are looking at repeating this experience again in the not too distant future, with other guest chefs. We had a lovely time, and we will definitely be back!
