The food was absolutely incredible -- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every dish we tried was packed with authentic Cuban flavor, and the portions were generous too. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. If you're looking for delicious Cuban food in the area, this spot is definitely worth visiting. I'll definitely be coming back!

Not too much Cuban cuisine to pick from in Fort Myers. Continue to come here because the food is LEGIT. Unlike Miami, where there are hundreds of Cuban restaurants, this is the place you want to go. Great vibe, music, videos of Cuba playing all around you, real Cuban servers, and food worth waiting an extra little time for. The service always courteous and polite, willing to help you out with the menu choices. You will read some "hater" comments, but disregard. If you're not Cuban, your comments don't count. If I want to eat Italian I'm not going to ask an Indian brother. You have to go to the "real deal" Cuban! Try it, you'll like it!

    Snapper fillet and Moro rice

This restaurant is tucked away in the shopping plaza across the street from Costco. It's very near Skillets and I only mention this because my brother couldn't find the restaurant until I mentioned Skillets, then he spotted it. The staff were phenomenal. So friendly and attentive. For my appetizer I ordered a Mojito. It was potent and had a little glowing ice cube. For my entree I ordered the red snapper fillet with Moro rice. The snapper was perfectly fried with a nice spice rub. Not overly spicy. The Moro rice was so good with a nice smoky flavor. We shared a flan for dessert. The flan was huge and rich. I prefer it to be a little less dense, but it was very good. My only complaint would be the sound level of the music. We were there for lunch and the music was a bit loud. I would definitely recommend Cubans Be Like. I will be back.

Cuban Style Roasted Pulled Pork with plantains and rice/beans

Tucked away in a shopping mall is Cubans Be Like. They have a small outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant but in the middle of a summer heat wave, definitely opt for seating inside. The staff and service was okay (there was a language barrier at times), but the ambiance was great, with video footage of old and new Havana playing on a loop on mounted TVs. Based on disco balls on the ceiling and a very small DJ booth, it appears this place might turn into a nightclub at some point, though I found no mention of it on their website. The lighting is really dim, so prepare to whip out your phone's flashlight to read the menu. Our food order didn't get off to a great start: I ordered a Coke and it was either flat or the machine wasn't calibrated to have the right amount of soda and syrup. I told the waitress and she didn't apologize or offer an alternative. I stuck with water. We also ordered croquetas as an appetizer... those never came and we had to remind the waitress, so they ended up coming after our entrees arrived. There was, again, no apology. Both of these things were easy to fix, yet the waitress did and said nothing. That was very disappointing. Thankfully, the food made up for it. As my main, I got the roasted pulled pork with a side of plantains and rice/beans (sides you get to pick). The portions were fantastic and the food, just wow, full of flavor. The pork came with a lot of caramelized onions on top and garlic, just as it's supposed to be. My companion had the breaded steak and loved it. (For anyone who doesn't eat ham, beware, there's a slice of ham under the layer of cheese, which was not mentioned in the menu.) He got it with a side of tostones and rice/beans. We were stuffed by the end of our meal and, honestly, could've done without the croquetas but they (for better or worse) came as we were eating our entrees. Would I return despite the service and language barrier with staff? Yes, absolutely. The food was amazing and is probably the closest you're going to get to what you can find in Miami.

This is a great restaurant in a strip mall type setting. Love the dining room/bar area. It's open and spacious. It's got a great ambiance. Dark ceilings and pretty cool lighting. There are tv's around the restaurant featuring locations to view in Cuba along with menu items. A large TV adorns the back wall while great Cuban music is playing. We were greeted and sat promptly and our order was taken a short time after that. The servers were friendly and always engaged. We had the tostones Rellenos with shrimp and Ropa vieja. Although the meat was slightly chewy, the flavor was fantastic! As always, the cafe con leche was on point! This is now on the roster for a place to visit on the regular!

Visiting Fort Myers. A real delight and our new go-to restaurant for Cuban cuisine. Ample parking. Restaurant is clean, well lit, nicely decorated with delightful ambiance. Comfortable seating, great vibes and music. Service is excellent. Our waitress Naomi is attentive, professional, courteous, polite and friendly. Every dish perfectly prepared, delicious, tasty with the ideal amount of heat and seasoning. Tender meats. Did I mention every dish amazingly delicious. Generous portions. Ordered the ribeye steak, red snapper, sampler tray for app., grilled octopus and carne asada. Drinks are excellent too. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to try the other items on their menu.

Pictures from the owner do not match the food style, look and definitely not the taste, please do not eat at restaurants based on pictures, reviews were ok, maybe the owner's friend and family posted the reviews. I know Cuban restaurants by ordering three items from the menu; 1- Ropa Vieja 2- Flan 3- Cortarito This place DID NOT pass any, all of the three failed the taste and texture test. my grading score is BIG F, 0%, NADA ZIP ZILSH ALL THE 4 & 5 STAR REVIEWS PLEASE ADJUST AND TELL THE TRUTH Owner Please remove the fake photos

Came here for some yummy Cuban food after a dear friend's funeral. It has been a sad day, but we got NICOLE as our server and she made us smile and laugh a lot. She was so attentive and super sweet! The prettiest girl there! Thank you for making us smile again today. Food was wonderful. The chicharrón was super! My husband had the Famous Cuban Sandwich and I had the ropa vieja. Huge portions, so we didn't finish. We will definitely come back! I love the atmosphere and the music. I love the girls' attire- super cute and sexy, yet modest. Definitely a fun place to visit!

The Cubano sandwich with plantain chips was phenomenal! We ate lunch in the shade on the outdoor patio with fans and it was such a pleasant atmosphere. The service was fast, friendly, and so welcoming. Highly recommended!

It's been a while since I visited this location. I am happy to say that the food quality is still amazing and the service is still top-notch. This time around we started with an order of Chicharrones that were just amazing. We got four big chunks that were pretty filling. We ordered the Ropa Vieja entrée with white rice, black beans and tostones which was extremely delicious. We also ordered what I normally love to eat bistec milanesa. A very big portion of food with plenty of flavor. The location has made some updates to their interior, including a huge projection screen on the stage constantly playing some pretty cool stuff from Cuba. I have not eaten here for dinner, but it seems like they have live bands playing, which is something I'd like to explore in the future Overall A+

Located inside a plaza with plenty of free parking. Small covered outdoor pet-friendly seating. Walk inside and was surprised to see how dark the inside of the restaurant is. They actually have lamps that you tap to turn on, so you can read the menu. Loud music made it feel more like a club vibe. Not a restaurant vibe at all. Stage for bands, DJ booth, and projection screen continue the club vibe. The servers were all super friendly and efficient. The wine pour is tiny. The food is bland, dry, and no mojo for the pork chunks. Complete food disappointment for us. The kitchen is cooking but lack authentic Cuban flavored seasoning. Once was enough.

Great as always! Love their weekly specials on drinks and love the consistency in the quality of food. Service is always friendly and accommodating. Great place to grab some Cuban classic dishes.

This morning, the stars are lining up and I need some breakfast before I start a difficult project. Wow, as I walked in, the aroma just permeated the restaurant. I ordered the "Desayuno Arcoiris" or "Breakfast Rainbow" or scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, peppers, Onions and Cuban Toast wit café con Leche. My breakfast was perfect. While I have my breakfast, I noticed there are about 20-30 take out orders. Many were workers in their uniforms. Some have full Cubano Sandwich, Lechon Asado, etc. Each weekday, they have a special like, Picadello (Ground Beef) for Monday, Carne con Papas (Meat with Sauce and potatoes) for Tuesday, Ropa Vieja (shredded Beef) for Wednesday, Filetilo Salteado (Steaks with onions and peppers) for Thursday, Rabo Encendido (Oxtail Beef and Masa de Cedo Fritas) for Friday. This is a hole in wall restaurant but their Cuban foods are authentic and the staff is super friendly. Very reasonable price! The only complaint is the plastic utensil. Otherwise, the food is 5 stars and the utensil is 2 stars! Glad to stop by to check this out! Need to go back for lunch on a Friday!
