It is a private facility, not part of a chain, and therefore any issue you have is addressed on-site, not by some corporate manager in another city. My kids began going to this center at 8 weeks of age and I have been nothing but pleased with their care. They now ride the after-school care bus and are 10 and 7 years old. That's a lot of experience with this center! There are days when I arrive to pick them up and am greeted by my child saying, "Aw Mom, do I have to leave now?" How often does that happen anywhere else? This staff takes the time to KNOW your child. As infants, I would receive daily reports on how much formula they ate, and even their diaper habits for that day. Now that they're older, I know that there is a homework hour where quiet time is observed and each child is expected to do their work. Teachers are there for any needed assistance. They stress creativity, MANNERS, respect, and community. I love the field trips they offer, especially during the breaks when it could get dull for an older child. We've been to the Atlanta Zoo, Stone Mountain, Turner Field, the World of Coke, and even Waffle House, I Spy Museum, and Atlanta Motor Speedway. The prices are reasonable and very comparable to any others you would find in this area. Discounts are given for multiple children enrolled in the center. You also get "vacation" weeks during the year with decreased tuition if your family is out of town. I never feel pressured or intimidated when I approach a staff member or the owners and directors. Oh, and I have been on field trips and they are extremely diligent about our children's safety!

She came back about 10-12 minutes later with Dunkin Donuts in tow and walked right past me when she arrived. She then popped her head out and said she'd be right with me. When she finally came back she just began speaking--no introduction or anything. All in all I wouldn't send my kid here renovations definitely need to happen, the professionalism isn't there, and it seems disorganized.

BSKA bought the Montessori school our kids go to and it's immediately been a disaster. The prior…read moreowner notified us on July 4th, and then we received no information from the new owners for over a week. I just dropped my kids off to find that the usually pristine facility was just covered with filth on the floor. Like someone had just dumped dirt and trash around. A teacher was trying to clean it up, because apparently the owners had just left it that way over the weekend for the old teachers to deal with unexpectedly before the parents arrive. The new owners are rarely there and when you ask when they'll be there, you get this vague "we're here whenever we can!". When they are there, they skulk in this back room area where you can't see them but they can hear what you say to the prior staff. They're just... listening in but refusing to actually communicate. They're also changed things that didn't need changing to the point that it just seems like a power trip -- like no teachers have a chair where they can sit down for a second except one, hard, dining room style chair. The final straw was that there were plastic bags left around in the trash. They talk "safety safety safety" but are leaving dangerous choking hazards left around toddlers? Filth on the floor where babies are learning to crawl? This isn't even an issue of "I just don't like their non-montessori style." This isn't a safe place any more.

I ran the 5K it was a great run through the community and back to the Y. I did not hang around for the 10AM ceremony but I walked around and checked out the vendors. Great food, music and people. I did check out the entrance of the Y during check in yesterday but didn't do a full tour. From what I observed, it's well maintained. Equipment, Restrooms and lobby were clean. I can say they will need a new building soon as the town is growing . I plan to run next year for the same race and possibly other races throughout the year.

The core/stretching area could use a little bit of love, maybe a fresh coat of paint, reorganizing and some new mats. However, the showers and restrooms are the cleanest of any Y I have ever been in (and I've seen quite a few) the gym area is clean, they have a good selection of equipment which is well maintained, and have plenty of classes. The gym floor/cardio area is never too crowded. The staff are friendly and polite, and I have been very pleased with the quality of their childcare. A solid 4 out of 5 stars!
