Bus 703 will run directly to Tesco from central Szczecin (Plac Rodla) to the shop but only once an hour. The selection is huge and includes fresh fruit and veg, canned produce, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, wine and beer, vodka, fresh fish, meat and cheese, many household and hygiene items, and even electronics, books and toys. Self checkouts are in operation where you can pay with zloty in cash or by card but you can also go to a traditional cashier. UK Clubcards will not be accepted in Poland (and vice versa) even if they look the same, the device will reject them as "unknown item". There are also a few other stores in the same building such as a hair dresser, a tobacco store and a post office where foreign money can also be exchanged for Polish zloty. A Euronet ATM is available for cash withdrawals (as always with ATMs in Poland and foreign cards, be careful not to select their exchange mechanism, but have your card billed in zloty and the conversion carried out by your bank which will always be cheaper). There's also a Tesco Grill that offers comparatively cheap meals. Not the best quality but very cheap indeed, I had a schnitzel with fries and drink for about 7 zloty last year.

The people working here seem to take pride in their jobs, which is a significantly rarer find back in America. Seriously, some of their pieces of bread cost less than one złoty each. Four złotys are about one dollar, so imagine if an American bakery sold buns for less than a quarter each. Just doesn't happen, does it? Yet they still avoid lacing their products with preservatives that are abundant in America, sell them for a pittance, and apparently make some profit. They also appear to have quiche, cakes, and ice cream. I didn't try any of them, though. Instead, I did buy one bottle of grapefruit juice for 3,95 złotys. One dollar for 225 mL of grapefruit juice is pretty reasonable. They even gave me a glass for it, though I did not use it. I just returned the glass and bottle when I was done. I imagine that was the right thing to do.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately welcomed in by the staff. All the employees seemed buoyant and in good cheer, which made the atmosphere at DeVibez very upbeat and positive. There seemed to be great chemistry between the servers and the owners. That probably explains why the service was top notch and the ambiance so relaxing. The interaction between the coworkers and management was interesting to watch. You got the feeling that there is a jovial, if not familial, relationship between the employees and owners. The food was excellently plated and tasted delicious too. Just before we left, I had a small conversation with the two owners of DeVibez. They gave me directions to a local Christmas market that was only a 10-minute walk away. As I was leaving the owners even gave me two Carmel candies "for the road." My wife and I tried them and they tasted fabulous. We went to the Christmas market afterwards, and it salvaged what was a frustrating day of travel. Visiting the little shops and photographing the displays and beautiful scenery around the market made our trip complete. Thanks to the owners, our trip to Poland became memorable. DeVibez is a place we will definitely revisit. I highly recommend checking them out.

The "hot" chocolate then came only lukewarm and when we requested a hot one it took another 20min - mostly because it stood waiting at the bar. Most disappointing part: No excuse whatsoever from the waitress with the long dark hair and blue eyes :( The view is nice though!
