Went for Happy Hour with a friend last night. It was busy, naturally, but that didn't stop Sydney and Ryker from providing an excellent experience. I have never had poor service at this location, but those two made it extra enjoyable last night. Sydney's smile is warm and genuine. Ryker was attentive, and engaged in conversation. In most other restaurants the staff doesn't really have time to engage, but Ryker made a point to be personable. Being in customer service, I appreciate that a lot. Warning! Check your credit card statements! I hosted a business lunch on 2/27/28. The bill came to $259.28. I added a $50 tip for a total of $309.28. When my credit card statement came, Culinary Dropout added $10 to the tip amount and processed it for $319.28. I suspect they figured a) I wouldn't notice or b) I wouldn't care because this was my corporate card ans I was expensing it. They figured wrong because now I'm stuck with a discrepancy in the expense reporting tool at work that I have to resolve. I've disputed the charge with the card issuer but it sure does make me wonder if this was intentional. read more

Ambiance was great! We loved the layout and decor of the restaurant itself. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Service was a little on the slower side -- our drinks took a bit longer than expected and there was a small mix-up with our appetizer -- but what really stood out was how it was handled. Dylan, the manager, stopped by to check on us and went above and beyond. He offered us two desserts on the house and comped the app, and both desserts were absolutely top tier. His attentiveness and hospitality really elevated the overall experience. We'll definitely be back! Also do yourself a favor and get some of the ranch!! read more

Note to Dylan (the manager): Thank you for your response. There was not just one person that was dressed inappropriately. It was multiple women. One of the ladies (today) was wearing what appeared to be black skintight yoga pants with a black top showing her midriff and it didn't look like she was even wearing a bra. One of the other ladies was wearing skintight leopard pants with a top showing a large portion of her midriff. The bartender was wearing a top showing her midriff although it was slightly more tasteful. One of the other servers that had longer hair and a denim top had a plunging neckline. The hostess was wearing a top that was very revealing of her chest along with multiple piercings (I can understand maybe one piercing or a tattoo but this was excessive and distracting). I'm all for personal expression but it should be tasteful because people are coming there to eat and have a nice time with their colleagues, friends, family and possibly on a date with their spouse. I'm from Dallas and I would say that your restaurant falls more within the "breastaurant" category considering the way your employees dress. More of a "feast for the eyes" (and not in a good way) than a place to come and eat. I would never bring someone here on a date. Review: We had a great experience with Kailyn as our server. She was warm and friendly and took care of us. We appreciated her professionalism and her recommendations. She was genuine and kind. You should continue to focus on hiring more people like her. This was our second visit to this restaurant in a week. I'm afraid we don't have a desire to come back though. The food was good although a little overpriced even for happy hour. We enjoyed the charcuterie board, the side salad, the wagyu pigs in a blanket and the chips, which were amazing. The drinks had quite a bit of ice in them and they were just ok. It was even harder, however, to enjoy ourselves as we were so distracted by the inappropriate dress of the servers around us. It made us uncomfortable. I don't want to look at young women that are barely dressed or wearing workout clothes while I eat food. The women in this restaurant (the hostesses and the women on the bar side) are showing way too much skin. This degrades an establishment that is "trying" to look "high end." I'm not sure what kind of vibe you are going for here. Classy or trashy? In addition, on our first visit last week, our server (name removed as the manager is addressing the issue), who was mostly efficient, was always directing us to just spend more money so that her tip was higher. She seemed very disingenuous. No one wants to only have recommendations that are the most expensive items on the menu in each category. Most customers will see right through this kind of tactic. This is NOT service. This Is self-interest without care at best. A good server will ask you what kind of food you like and will tailor their suggestions to your preferences. Your servers may need more training. I will say that there was one gentleman who stopped by to greet us on the restaurant side that was super pleasant and very warm and welcoming (I can't remember his name but he was an African American man that was a server). He was a great representative for your restaurant. He is the reason that this review is a 3-star review instead of a 2-star review. I will check back on Yelp to see if the manager addresses the appropriate dress for his/her employees. This could be a great restaurant if the servers were trained to be genuine and they fixed the dress code. I would be willing to come back to this restaurant if they fix the inappropriate dress issues and train their staff a little more. I'll try them again in a few months and update my review then. read more

I went once with my girlfriend, and the food was really subpar. The fish was way too salty. And I expected the Ruben to be a Ruben, but it was actually a mix of turkey and Ruben. The manager was super nice, so we said we'd try again. I came back a second time with my husband, and everything was outstanding. The nachos are out of this world! We will definitely be back. These people are still getting their footing and rhythms, so give them a chance. read more

Before I dine in most restaurants these days I always try to do my homework before I take my chances on the establishment. Seems like nowadays the overall dinning experience at most places, especially pricey places, are underwhelming. As a former long time F&B personnel with over 15 years of experience in all aspects of the industry, I tend to be as fair and transparent as possible. Went here for an evening outing with a guest to check out the place and I was completely underwhelmed with, first off the prices on the menu. With an average of $15 for a cocktail which is very expensive I must say this cocktail better blow my mind. And unfortunately it didn't. Had the Tijuana spa water and it tasted like I was taking a sip of actual Salsa. My guest had the evil jungle princes and it was a below average drink. We shared an appetizer wagyu pigs in a blanket and oh boy they were bad and these at $18 were criminal. They tasted like a cheap hotdog in a bun. Didn't have anything else since I didn't want to blow my wad since we were already unimpressed. Management was not present either and the overall service was just ok since the staff seem to not engage or care about the customer experience, they just care about how much you're tipping which is a sad thing that the industry still relies on. Restaurants owners should pay their staff a decent hourly wage so their staff stays happy, which will equal to guest being happy. Another thing as I read reviews between 1-3 stars, it seems that the upper management who replies back to these poor reviews seem to copy and paste the same reply, which is concerning because to me all that means is that upper management truly doesn't care because if they did, then the replies would be written from the heart and not copy and paste method which is more than likely I'll get the same reply from the GM on this review I'm writing. I'm not coming back here since I don't mind paying above average prices for quality but I do mind paying above average prices for mediocre menu items. read more

We went here for lunch and the atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant has a warm, modern feel that also feels like it turns into a cool night club at night. The drinks were fantastic, my husband had a class of wine and I had the signature sangria, which I loved. The food was okay, I had a chicken sandwich and he had a prime rib sandwich. My sandwich was very good and had great flavor and his sandwich was pretty good as well. The fries were subpar, they tasted like they were fresh out of a freezer bag to be honest and were pretty disappointing. I know it's new, and will take some time to get the bugs out. A great social scene and definitely a "lively" spot. I would give the cocktails a B+ and the food a B- (limited menu and nothing "wow"). Upscale atmosphere, great menu/food service, and a large, open bar. However after 2 bar and restaurant visits, both times they were out of the high priced house cab. This forced me to buy an even higher priced $19.50 glass of cab. This is unacceptable. Management needs to plan better for something as simple as stocking the popular house wine. Also it seems the bartenders think they are working in a nightclub. While the bar staff seem plentiful, they walk right by, are slow to acknowledge guests; you have to get their attention. Some act aloof and take their time bringing drinks. This behavior was both times, and not isolated. This is not what I expect at an upscale establishment. While the food is good, based on these overall experiences, I'm going back to Perry's and Brick Tops when I meet up with friends. These restaurants are consistently warm, inviting and have an attentive attitude which coincide the upscale vibe and higher prices I pay. read more
