This review is only for their frozen custard. Hailing from the west coast, we don't really have frozen custard here. It was a hot afternoon and we stopped in for a cool sweet treat. I just got a scoop of vanilla custard. Very creamy vanilla ice cream. Next time I will probably venture out and get sundae or concrete mixer. And my friend got the lemon ice smoothie or cooler. Some icy lemon drink. I tried a sip and it was pretty tasty. Will have to come back and try their food and burgers too. read more

We don't have Culver's in my area but when I do come across one it's always a nice change of pace from my local fast food.

I go to this CULVERS at least once a week sometimes more. i basically order kids cheeseburger meal just the right size for my lunch. Or regular butter burger meal . What I love is all the toppings you can have on your burger and it's ALL FRESH . With the kids meal I'll opt to upgrade it with a medium lemonade freeze ( so delicious) and refreshing . I've gone here just to get the lemonade freeze . I 90% go through the drive through. Yes the lines look long but one of the best things I love about this Bloomington CULVERS is how quick and efficient the service is . I have never waited more than 5-7 minutes to get my order. I have dance classes (im 10) and when I did my competitions my mom and dad said "where do you want to go to celebrate winning 1st place?" It must have just been a fluke that my burger was this salty, because I went back and it's my favorite fast food burger place now. It's absolutely delicious. There is so much hype for Culver's in Minnesota. To be fair, I'm not sure why. After hearing so much about it, we decided to give it a try. I mean, are you greeted the second you walk in the door? Yes. Does it seem like everyone loves their job at this place? Yes. Is their custard the REAL deal? Yes. We got the Culver's deluxe with regular fries and a side of the Wisconsin cheese dip. The butterburger (not sure why that's the name) was decent. Nothing out of this world. The fries were crinkle cut, so I was dying to have them. The sauce was not the best. A bit low on taste. The meal itself is better than regular fast food but not as good as you'd expect at a restaurant. Now the real reason people have to come to this place--The CUSTARD! We ordered a chocolate peanut butter custard. They accidentally gave us vanilla, but we didn't go back in. The custard was fabulous. It ranks pretty high with some really good ice cream that I've had across the country. Later in the week, we tried the chocolate, and it was better for our peanut butter combination. This is my secondary Culver's location. I hit up this location when in Bloomington and I can't just drive by before heading out to the highway. Culver's has the BEST fast food burger, hands down! Everything is fresh and the fries are HOT. HOT, I tell you! When they offer the sweet potato fries, GET THEM. They don't defile them with cinnamon and sugar. Just a touch of salt and damn, I could eat a couple orders all by myself. I have a thing for sweet potatoes (preferably raw) and their fries beat all that I've had anywhere else (DO NOT order the ones from White Castle, ever). I've had various of their burgers and have thoroughly enjoyed the "pub" burgers they put out. I get single burgers because I just can't eat that much meat unless I haven't eaten in a day or so. I get the doubles for the boys, as they're happy to hork down gobs of beefy goodness. You can get condiments on the burger or not. I, sometimes, get them without so that I can see just how good a burger is. I've not been disappointed at all. If you get their emails and texts, you can get deals and coupons for your favorite location. Yes, I know that we're not supposed to eat fast food. We're all going to do it. Why not do it right? Maybe you can save some room for a concrete mixer or another frozen treat. We also love their ice cream. read more

There's fast food - and then there's Culvers. You may have to wait to get your drive-thru Butter Burger, but only because they make them piping hot and to-order. Simple, good food. The burger on the sign actually looks like the burger they give you to order. It never fails to remind me of the walk-up northern-state lakeside hot dog and hamburger stands when I was little and it was just a guy manning a grill. You walked away with a juicy burger and smelling a bit like burning charcoals. Yeah, Culvers is like that but with a menu that also offers up cod fish fillets, prime rib sandwiches, and reubens. Stopped here while we were on vacation in MN for a week. We had a late night hankering for a concrete mixer and cheese curds. A young gentleman waited on use and took our order. The food arrived to our table but I received fries instead of cheese curds. The person who delivered the food looked at the receipt which read "fries" and basically said I was out of luck. I went to the gentleman at the register who took our order and he remembered that I said "cheese curds" and said "I'm so sorry, I definitely remember you stated cheese curds". 5 minutes later he brought the curds to our table. From the butter burgers, cheese curds, and custard, my first Culver's experience did not disappoint! I was wowed by cheese curds I had tried at California A&W locations, until I had Culver's cheese curds. Not rubbery at all, still flavorful, and made with real cheese curds. The custard was surprisingly good too and they have so many varieties of flavor combinations. We went for a classic chocolate vanilla, which was great. I found the burger to be great quality for a fast food place, but wish the cheese were a little more melted. I've never been to a Culver's before as I'm not from the midwest but it reminds me of Long John Silvers and Captain D's. To me it's the best fast food in existence. After all the original fast food burger places sold out to corporate greed, this place remains pure. No shrinkage of product etc. Although a little tricky to get to via frontage road and a tight parking lot, the custard is one of the firmer ones. Some places it's soft and drippy. Every Tuesday with Grandpa for the past 5 years! I go here every week as a time to hangout with my Grandpa, and we love it. The staff's service is equivalent to that of Fogo de Chão. Normally I don't review chains as a general practice, but I found this particular Culver's particularly noteworthy. First of all, it's really big. There's a second back room that actually has two flat screen TVs (not huge ones, but they do the job). Second, I found the customer service at this Culver's to be even higher than normal. I noted the manager approaching a table full of seniors and offering them all coffee refills. I also noted that those drinking coffee at that table had actual ceramic mugs -- a nice touch for a group that I assume was made up of regulars. It's the little things that count. read more

We were staying at the La Quinta Motel which is in the same parking lot so we ate here twice while in Bloomington. The cod sandwich here is to die for ~ huge ~ like a meal in itself! The staff is efficient and hustles to deliver your food to you ASAP. The 2nd night, I had the mushroom/Swiss butter burger which I should have known would be greasy but the onion rings are excellent and plentiful! I discovered Culver's in Milwaukee years ago and even made road trips to visit Culver's once it started expanding toward Minneapolis. Finally, a few years ago, we got our own Culver's in Bloomington. The Butter Burgers are tasty and definitely in my top-ten for best burgers. Unfortunately for me, I love the taste of custard but it does not agree with me so I have had to limit my visits to Culver's over the years. I love the food at Culver's, but the homogeneity of their locations is a bit of a turn-off for me. Every Culver's location is nearly identical regardless of where it is. I used to be willing to drive for a half hour for a Culver's when they weren't in the area just because they were different from what we had, but now that they are local they are all the same. read more

This Culver's location is my favorite one in all of MN and WI. My order has always been correct and fresh, the staff are diverse (in age and ethnicity) and very nice, and they're fast despite always being busy. I have noticed multiple times that the man who I think is an owner (Don Fong I think I saw on the drive thru window), works right alongside his employees and he always has a smile on his face. He brought my drive thru order out to my car and ran to and from, which to me showed that he hustles and wants to be a good example for his employees.
