Ordered to go, service was fast. We got two value meals, one single burger and one double. Burgers tasted great! Fried were hot and fresh, cheese curds were fresh but not the best we've ever had. What threw us off were the sauces and ice cream mixers. They gave us completely different sauces than we ordered. And none of the sauces (besides the cheese sauce) tasted good. Culver's sauce is just Caesar dressing, and the ranch is definitely not worth getting again. Our ice cream mixers were also lacking any mix ins, very disappointing. It's almost like eating plain vanilla ice cream. Very bland. Overall, we'd give Culver's another try, maybe stick to burgers and fries, and skip the extra sauces, sides, and ice cream. read more

Our food was fine- turtle sundae for Bookguy and kids' hamburger meal for me plus a small lemonade smoothie. The problems were the huge number of flies. They were everywhere. The other problem was cleanliness. I had to wash our table because there were a lot of sticky spots. There were crumpled napkins and fries on the floor plus ketchup and spilled soda at the self-service stations. We drove through for a gluten free meal + some kids meals. The woman on the speaker said honestly that the fryer is not gluten free, which I appreciate. So I got a butter burger deluxe with a GF bun, and a chocolate milkshake. Win! The kids meal options are great! Burger, corn dog, grilled cheese, or 2 piece chicken with side of applesauce, fries, or a 3rd option I can't remember (maybe onion rings). I had no reactions to the burger or shake, but I was disappointed to find no condiments provided with or on the burger. My husband suggested that maybe there are no GF condiments, but I think if they provide a GF bun, the restaurant should supply condiments as well or be upfront with guests that there are none. Don't go here and if you do be sure to triple check your bag while there because they don't care about charging customers and not giving them food and "the system doesn't allow for refunds to be processed." Update to the Culver's rep who responded here: I did submit the survey on your website with the code on my receipt and got an email back saying "we're sorry you're upset about not receiving your burger. We offered you coupons and you didn't accept them, if you want them now we can mail them to you." None of your employees has said sorry for not giving me the item I didn't receive, but instead sorry that I'm mad about it. I don't want the coupons but the my customer service team would have automatically included the coupons in the email reply instead of still offering to mail them. Always consistently fast and good. The pretzel bites are AMAZING! I wish they didn't discontinue them occasionally and call them seasonal but they're worth the wait. A treat after dinner. He decided to surprise me and I was excited. A hot day with a sweet treat. I ordered a chocolate sundae with strawberries and hot fudge. He ordered an Oreo concrete mixer. She got a chocolate malt and he got a strawberry shake. They messed up and gave us an extra something. Looked like a chocolate shake but we weren't sure. We were a little confused but they were busy so they just said it's an extra and waved us on. By the time we got home my sundae was a little melty. And the strawberries were runny. I was worried about that. Everything melted together so I couldn't tell what was what. But it was delicious. Smooth and creamy, sweet and cold. This place is pretty good for "fast food" type menu items. I had the beef pot roast sandwich which was actually quite tasty. The wife tried the pork tenderloin which she said was just ok. Fries are thicker cut and delicious. As was the chocolate shake. I will be back. read more

Pretty good experiences here so far. They almost always get the order right except for the one time I forgot you have to ask specifically for each condiment on your butter burger and had a plain burger when I got home. Would be nice if their attendants would ask "do you want any toppings on there?" for those of us either new or haven't been in awhile. Would have given five stars but for this last visit on a weekend in the summer when their dining room closed at 9pm. We showed up at around 8:45p and asked before ordering if they kick you out at 9pm or what and the cashier said they simply lock the doors at 9 but as long as we are in, we are OK. Sure enough, we probably had five minutes left to finish and the cashier left and another gal came around telling all the tables that they close their dining room at 9p. Okkk. Other than her, the rest of the staff was incredibly friendly. There were some spoiled kids asking for different custards and toppings and after the employee made it, they cried so he threw it away and made them an entirely new dish. I was impressed with how well he not only kept his composure but was happy. My custard was a pint and wasn't as advertised. Unfortunately since I was kicked out, I had to eat outside where it smelled like sewage - which it always does so don't ever eat outside there! Anyway. Couldn't tell them my pint was mislabeled and return. Lesson learned next time to open the custard before departing the store. read more

We asked for the manager and this teenager comes up and begins to argue over the cones and I said we didn't want them and she threw a couple coupons at us and said for your next visit. This place has many different options to choose from. I especially love the snakes. You can't go wrong with a burger and fries of course. I have never heard of a butter burger but it was great. Over the past four years (since I wrote my initial review), I've been stopping back into Culver's periodically. I actually can't believe I've yet to update my review as the place has gotten miles than what it once was. I always get the chicken strip dinner w/ fries and it's always amazing. The crinkle cut fries always come out perfect and the tenders taste wonderful. Is it weird to say their Pepsi tastes better too? Maybe I'm crazy, but soda does seem to vary from restaurant to restaurant. Long story short, this is some of the best 'fast' food you're ever going to have. I put fast in quotes because they do not make it until you order-- which, in turn, does mean you do wait a couple minutes for it (typically ~5mins). This is based solely on their customer service. We were traveling from out of state on a road trip and wanted to try something we don't have, so we stopped by - unfortunately they were so rude when we asked about the menu and told them we were new and from out of state! It was like we were a burden (they had like no one except our 2 cars in line either!) I asked for a kids meal burger ketchup only... great, then asked for a pork sandwich and we asked what does it come with and their answer "anything you want" .... well hello what is the anything- the menu is not set up to be exactly user friendly showing you options so we asked does it come with lettuce and tomato and do you have grilled and/or regular onions -- we have both the girl stated - so we stated grilled .... when we got the order we got a plain pork sandwich with a teaspoon of grilled onions .... YOUVE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! Have a little common sense and when people are trying to ask questions and you feel rushed - don't just brush off your mistakes- let us know you need a minute and explain the menu -- and when I asked what kind of drinks because I didn't see them at first -- her reply was "it's on the board". We will be calling corporate - I even asked to speak to the manager and like another reviewer - he just brushed me off trying to cover mistakes.... It's amazing all the precautions being taken by the staff. Masks, gloves, I even recognized they had timers set and were sanitizing counters and changing their gloves. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly! While the attendant taking my order wasn't super sure of what he was doing, his manager was able and willing to help make sure our order was accurate. Compared to some other fast food places, Culver's is really good. I have always had good service here. They have decent burgers. The patties are kind of small so order a double if you're hungry. The pot roast dinner is good and not what I would expect from a fast food place. Seems more like something a dine in restaurant would serve. Went to the drive thru for an order for 2 boys and 1 adult, cost over $30 and after we left we noticed we never received all the food and we were given the wrong sodas. We had a jump time and couldn't go back and then I left town. I contacted the store 2 days after the fact and the attitude of the manager was very nonchalant. They took my information and seem to be pushing me off the phone indicating corporate would look at my issue and maybe send me a coupon.
