I mean. How can you go wrong with custard!!! This place rocks and is totally worth the drive imo.

    Culver's Culver's® Signature Sauce

Ordered to go, service was fast. We got two value meals, one single burger and one double. Burgers tasted great! Fried were hot and fresh, cheese curds were fresh but not the best we've ever had. What threw us off were the sauces and ice cream mixers. They gave us completely different sauces than we ordered. And none of the sauces (besides the cheese sauce) tasted good. Culver's sauce is just Caesar dressing, and the ranch is definitely not worth getting again. Our ice cream mixers were also lacking any mix ins, very disappointing. It's almost like eating plain vanilla ice cream. Very bland. Overall, we'd give Culver's another try, maybe stick to burgers and fries, and skip the extra sauces, sides, and ice cream.

Our food was fine- turtle sundae for Bookguy and kids' hamburger meal for me plus a small lemonade smoothie. The problems were the huge number of flies. They were everywhere. The other problem was cleanliness. I had to wash our table because there were a lot of sticky spots. There were crumpled napkins and fries on the floor plus ketchup and spilled soda at the self-service stations. There seemed to be plenty of workers so maybe they had been slammed earlier and didn't have a chance to clean up.

We drove through for a gluten free meal + some kids meals. The woman on the speaker said honestly that the fryer is not gluten free, which I appreciate. So I got a butter burger deluxe with a GF bun, and a chocolate milkshake. Win! The kids meal options are great! Burger, corn dog, grilled cheese, or 2 piece chicken with side of applesauce, fries, or a 3rd option I can't remember (maybe onion rings). I had no reactions to the burger or shake, but I was disappointed to find no condiments provided with or on the burger. My husband suggested that maybe there are no GF condiments, but I think if they provide a GF bun, the restaurant should supply condiments as well or be upfront with guests that there are none. Overall it was a good experience.

Nothing special and nothing bad about this location. Got my burger just as I wanted. It hit the spot. My concrete was served table side since there was a miscommunication about my order. The girl was nice to bring it to me. This is a busy location since there aren't other culvers nearby.

This is the single scoop - I hadn't eaten any yet.

Well, the food was good. But it was incorrect. My husband asked for his deluxe burger without cheese. It came without anything - just a naked burger in a bun. Not exactly deluxe. I ordered a single scoop of their flavor of the day. I'm lucky if it was a half scoop. Again, flavor was fine, but it was only about three bites.

Needed to run some bags of leaves to the dump and this was right on the way, so decided to stop here for lunch. The service was very polite and got people through quick. I got a spicy chicken sandwich with cheese curds. The cheese curds were good but the chicken sandwich was just... meh. It might be better if there was some kind of sauce but it's pretty dry, just lettuce, tomato and pickle. While the service is good, I'll probably look elsewhere next time I want some quick food.

A treat after dinner. He decided to surprise me and I was excited. A hot day with a sweet treat. I ordered a chocolate sundae with strawberries and hot fudge. He ordered an Oreo concrete mixer. She got a chocolate malt and he got a strawberry shake. They messed up and gave us an extra something. Looked like a chocolate shake but we weren't sure. We were a little confused but they were busy so they just said it's an extra and waved us on. By the time we got home my sundae was a little melty. And the strawberries were runny. I was worried about that. Everything melted together so I couldn't tell what was what. But it was delicious. Smooth and creamy, sweet and cold. He liked his Oreo mixer and the others had no complaints with their treats. I need to remember this sundae because it's better than their chocolate shake.

This place is pretty good for "fast food" type menu items. I had the beef pot roast sandwich which was actually quite tasty. The wife tried the pork tenderloin which she said was just ok. Fries are thicker cut and delicious. As was the chocolate shake. I will be back.

One of my friends has been here with his co-workers a few times but I haven't been here before. (Maybe one time many many years ago that I don't remember....) We walk in on a Monday night and there were a few people there. It's a small place so I'm glad we were able to get a table. When we sat down, the bartender, (waitress as well), came right over and took our drink orders and eventually our food orders. I wanted to try their renowned broasted chicken. (A device essentially uses pressure cooking and light frying to create a thin crispy skin and juicy interior). The chicken was some of the best 'fried' chicken that I've ever had, seriously. Super crispy skin and juice inside. Reminds me a little of Korean fried chicken. The texas toast was yummy, the cole slaw was creamy (if you like creamy slaw), and the crispy tots were crispy delicious. My friend got a broasted chicken sammich and he loved it too. (High praise coming from him.) My friends and I have been wanting to go back and get more broasted chicken since we left. On Fridays, they have a 4 piece special for $13.99 that I'll have to take advantage of soon. All in all, this little bar/restaurant has some amazing food that I just didn't expect after driving and running past it for years. Can't wait to go back.

Our group ended up waiting a long time each time we needed to speak to the server and it resulted in a lunch that took significantly longer than a weekday lunch should take. It would have been more understandable if they had been swamped but it was a pretty light day and we were one of a handful of tables at most. However, I will still give it another chance because the blackened salmon salad and spinach artichoke wrap I had on the two visits were both delicious.

While I was waiting, I saw several tenderloin sandwiches being served to dine-in customers, and they looked absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, our food was only average. We ordered the chicken fried chicken and the nachos. The homemade tortilla chips had good flavor, but they were extremely greasy. The biggest disappointment was that part of our takeout order was missing. That's partly on me for not checking before I left, but it was still frustrating. Overall, the combination of the long wait, average food, and incomplete order left us with a disappointing experience. I had the Cubano sandwich, which was good overall, especially the smoky meat, but I think the coarse-ground mustard overpowered the flavours a bit and dulled the smokiness a bit. A plain yellow mustard might balance the sandwich better and let the smokiness shine through more. The sweet potato fries, however, were excellent. My wife Laura ordered Emily's Salad, which was pleasant and fresh, though we both thought it could have benefited from a little crunch--maybe some seeds or nuts added in. Our daughter Alex had the birria tacos and carne asada fries. The tacos were tasty, though a little on the small side, but the carne asada fries were fantastic. Umai! (I am a Rengoku fan; if you know, you know.) I highly recommend it. Our other daughter, Sam, ordered the birria grilled cheese and elote fries, and both were really good. Her cherryade was especially refreshing. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, though the dining area and patio felt a bit bare. A few plants outside and inside would really warm the place up and give it more character. The music was pretty good with indie hits in there. I also tried the Old Fashioned. It was definitely strong, which I appreciated, but it felt like it was missing a touch of sweetness or something to round it out. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, and I'd absolutely go back and try more on the menu. Their waitstaff was top-notch and really were on their game. The restaurant has good ingredients and solid ideas--it just feels like a few flavour balances could be dialed in a little more.

I had a free afternoon and for some reason when I check yelp, a couple spots in Council Bluffs, IA show up. I check around and they look fine, elevated bar/comfort food that could be from Anywhere, USA. Pork tenderloin seems to be the move with something fried on the side. LPL's really stuck out for a few reason - massive tenderloin sandwich and a super Midwest feel from the pics. Coming from Omaha, LPL's is about 15 minutes from downtown, but everything is 15-30 minutes it seems no matter where you go so might as well check out a new state. This restaurant is as middle of nowhere in the middle of nowhere as it gets. Nondescript building with just a few windows on the side of what seems like a main road for the area. I'm fairly certain there has not ever been an Asian and/or Hispanic person set foot in here, but hey, I was looking for a hearty and authentic meal and that's what I got. Felt like Joe and Marisa showing up in Alabama. I walked in and could feel the eyes on me immediately and went straight to an open bar stool. The place was pretty packed for a random Monday at 1pm. Everyone seems like regular locals. Server/bartender came up and handed me a menu and I ordered a Yuengling. I already knew what I wanted - pork tenderloin deluxe with some cheese curds. Very reasonable and necessary up charges for both. Now, when people exaggerate and say, "so and so was bigger than my face" I brush it aside, BUT this pork tenderloin was much bigger than my face and is comically large. They actually gave me a to go box to cut some of it up and set aside for maneuverability. I won't say it was seasoned well but the bonus points for size outweighs all. I cut and stacked with mayo and veggies to eat and it was very delicious. Crunchy and juicy with fresh veggies and needed richness from mayo. I was on my 3rd day of curds and ranch, no complaints there other than from my doctor I'm sure. I suppose I can recommend this place... it was just an odd experience of being so out of place for me but the staff was friendly and food was good making this a good place to check out. I would say it's one-of-a-kind spot but I have no idea what the rest of the Midwest is like. It's really in the middle of nowhere and getting an uber back to Omaha took a whopping 17 minutes. I, of course, appreciate anyone that reads my long reviews of random restaurants. I have no idea who is reading this review in NE or IA. $25 for a massive sandwich and 2 beers is the deal if the century. Way off the beaten path but may be worth a visit if you are visiting Omaha and what a different experience.
