We have frequented this location for years and seldom experienced problems. However, we ordered a salad three days in a row. In which a portion of the lettuce was rotten. When brought to the attention of the owner/manager, he explained that it to be expected and normal. I don't think so. There obviously is a problem. Since, this individual reacted as he did, I am giving the rating I did. They have lost a loyal and regular customer who often told their friends how they enjoyed the food and the employees. Moving to SWFL from South Florida I really didn't know what Culver's was but I had a few locations and a neighbor recommended I try it. He's from Wisconsin and said they had cheese curds. He had to me at cheese curds. I didn't have much expectations but was soo pleasantly surprised with the selection of food options and ice cream. Wow sooo many ice cream options. The service was very friendly. A young guy talked us through the menu and ice cream options. The place is a typical fast food place with a more family oriented atmosphere. This was my first time at Culver's. I was visiting my friend in North Port and we just came from dinner when we passed the restaurant. My friend said she had never had frozen custard so I convinced her to stop in because I like custard better than ice cream. I ordered a hot fudge sundae with pecans and my friend ordered the turtle sundae. I bought a small because I am trying to be healthier. But I also will not deprive myself of yummy treats lol! The frozen custard was creamy and delicious and the hot fudge and pecans were a great addition! I gobbled it up in about 5 minutes;) And my friend enjoyed her turtle sundae as well. This review is for the service by the late night crew at closing on 2/13/25. Entered Culver's late after getting in to the hotel across the street. When I mean late I mean 7 minutes before close. Staff was cleaning up and closing. However they still took our order and the food came out fresh and piping hot. On top of that I forgot to order fried and crew member Collin I believe, who had a longer beard, said no problem and provided hot fries. The food is very good! The service is good however the chances of getting the correct order is about 1 in 10! Either it has stuff I don't want on it or it's someone else's order completely. We have been to two locations with the same issue! We keep going back due to we call them and tell them the issue and either drive back or eat what they give us but do offer a free dessert or something else next visit. Culver's is a new fast food joint at North Port. Brand new building,lots of outdoor seating. Service was fast and courteous. Food was nothing too exciting,just like McDonald's.... From the TV commercials it looked like a somewhat fancy burger restaurant,in reality it is plain old fast food. I was especially excited to try their butter burger...well it looked like nothing as advertised. Husband had the cod dinner,it was good. Price was reasonable. Outdoor seating was a nice. I don't think we will be back. But if you craving fast food you'll probably like Culver's. read more

I've patronized Culver's for about 15 visits. They have good food, for somewhat fast food, but something has been missing from my order EVERY SINGLE TIME. I usually wait in the long drive thru line, and when my food is delivered, the employee tells me exactly what I ordered, hands me the bag, and zips back into the restaurant. I always check my orders, and always have to go inside to get my missing item(s). Too inconsistent, too inconvenient. I'm done with Culver's. read more

Love Culver's. The food was just fine but this staff displayed the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. We came about 30 minutes before closing, unapologetically because they had our food our in plenty of time. Out of respect, we ate n the patio so the staff could close up inside. At about 10 minutes until closing a staff member came outside to our table and said "not to rush you guys but we are closing soon. So if you could hurry up and finish, we would appreciate it." She said it sweetly and not with attitude but I was still appalled. At closing a staff member came out to "check on us" and took in our dishes and table numbers. Then the lights were shut off on us outside. I went with two of my friends tonight. I was eating my Berger and there was a piece of hair in it. I told the manager and he remade it for me. I did notice that none of the staff had hairnets on, even the kitchen staff, I went back and ate my new burger and then noticed that there was hair on both of the trays of my friends. Before I post this review let me just say I do like Culver's. I love the food and I love the custard. With that being said, the past several times I have been there. You absolutely need to check your food order before you leave there. I have had major items missing or had somebody else's order mixed in with mine and had to drive back in order to get The items I paid for. There is one particular employee who stands out and does above and beyond in his name is Sam. However, there is a young teenage snot nose girl and I hate to describe her as such, but that's exactly what she is. She has no experience in customer service whatsoever and is not willing to go above and beyond for any of her customers. If she has been told you can't do something , Like make a pint of custard for you,without getting further authorization to do so. She just says We can't do that. We're not allowed to do that. My last visit there. I did speak to a replaced manager for that store whose name was Gabby. I do believe. Very nice professional young girl. Probably high school age but was willing to look into my complaint. If you're going to hire a bunch of high school kids then you need to teach them how to speak to customers .. I have nothing against young kids but they need to be held accountable for their actions towards customers. read more

Went to this Culver's in North Port and ordered for my family. They got the order wrong. After getting to my destination, we opened the food and discovered the food was wrong. Brought it all the way back because my husband did not want it and the food is not cheap. Let the girl behind the counter know and she wanted to just give me pack of mayo. I asked if they could remake it since now after coming all the way back it was cold. The manager rolled her eyes and copped an attitude. I also watched another customer ask a guy behind the counter a question and he turned around and ignored her. The manager had no idea who had what order and people waiting a long time. Culver's makes the best burgers I can recall ever eating, and the employees are friendly and competent. So why only one star? It's because of the rude, smart-ass manager at the North Port FL location. My family and I are very picky eaters so we always order everything plain. Every so often they forget-no big deal, but I do expect a replacement. A couple times lately, though, I was in a big hurry and neglected to check the sandwiches before leaving. When I got home I found that one of the sandwiches was full of condiments. The first time this happened, I figured I'd let them know next time I was there and request a replacement. Even though I couldn't find the receipt, I was confident they would make it right--why would I make up this whole story just to get a fast food sandwich? A good manager knows it's better to take that chance rather than alienate a good customer. Instead, he explained that I should have saved my receipt and called right away--and refused to replace my sandwich. The second time this happened, I had just squeaked through as the last customer before they closed so I couldn't call, but I saved the receipt, confident (again) that since the time was on the receipt--showing that the restaurant was on the verge of closing--there wouldn't be a problem. The next day was very busy and I forgot to call. So the day after I went back again, showed my receipt, and explained what happened. The same manager was there. He peered intently into my my car, and said "I remember you," as if he had caught me in the act of trying to steal again. He again refused to replace my sandwich because I hadn't called the same night it happened; when I pointed out the time on the receipt he told me I should have called anyway because they were still there cleaning up, or even . Is Culvers really this cheap, or is the manager that much of a jerk? By the way, I am a 60 year old, well-spoken woman driving a nice car--I'm pretty sure I don't come off like a person trying to steal a meal from a fast food restaurant.
