When some hear me say that a gas station is our goto pizza place when visiting the area, they may think I misspoke, but the truth is, the Meredith Station, aka Mobil, has the best pizza in the area. If you're not in the mood for pizza, their subs are also really good. They also offer coffee in a variety of flavors, a huge assortment of soft drinks and other typical goodies that are commonly found in convenience stores that one may need for a day out on the water or for a quick refresh when passing through town. In addition to good food, the staff is friendly, and the store is clean. During holidays they decorate the grounds with season-appropriate items, such as scarecrows and mums in the fall and pretty flowers in the spring and summer. While the store may not have the best prices in the world, they aren't way out of touch, and this place is the only one of it's type in Alton, besides the "Village Store", which isn't nearly as great. Parking is easy and there are entrances to the station in both the front, by the gas station, and in the back, with additional parking. Also, they carry the Boston Sunday Globe which is useful to have up in NH. Located right at the Route 11, Route 28, and Route 28A rotary in Alton. 5 stars. 5 stars for a gas station of this type in this kind of area not the best of the best by any means…read morebut had a great experience here Stopped in to clean bug gutts off my windshield and they actually had the squeegee out unlike other gas stations 2nd time I stopped for gas and clean but gutts and used their restroom which was surprisingly clean for a gas station Attendant was nice and asked what can I do you for ? Pleasant experience!
