This gift shop is located downstairs in the church hall and across the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. During Sunday mass, the shop is closed and reopens after mass. The ladies who volunteer at the shop are helpful and efficient with all your needs. There is another section which is right next to the shop that carries mostly religious statues in a variety of sizes to choose from. My family made multiple purchases here and are very happy with the quality. And the BEST part? All proceeds to meet the needs of the poor! It's been around for a while so I decided it was finally time that I stopped in to see what was in there. We walked in and no one else was in the store. A much older woman at the front counter seemed to be the only employee. She didn't say hello or even look up from what she was doing when we came in. As I got closer to her, I said hello and then she said hi. To me, it's rude for employees to not even say a quick, "Hi." when a customer walks into their business. It doesn't take much effort. They had a varied selection of assorted decor, clocks, framed prints by local artists, outdoor furniture, lamps, LBI related decor, rugs, and plentiful tchotchkes which were fun to look at, albeit overpriced. Some of the things were unique and looked handmade, plus a lot of made in China items too. It was pleasant to browse there. We were never asked if we needed help with anything or if we had any questions. The woman employee was too busy complaining about her long drive due to construction which backed up traffic on route 72 and the bridge. I didn't buy anything, although I was tempted by a few items. The high prices plus the indifference of the lone employee, made it easy for me to walk out empty-handed. I doubt I'll be back.
