We saw this place while we were exploring downtown and stopped in to try it out. They had selections of cupcakes, cheese cakes, cake balls, rice krispies, and many more. I called to get a pricing on a cake for a bridal shower that I was hosting for. The lady who answered the phone was so hateful! SO HATEFUL. She said "Did you not hear me saying Hi on the phone?" And went on to say other hateful comments to me. I was so confused and taken aback I didn't even know what to say but "excuse me?" Come to find out she thought I was someone else. But that doesn't matter to me. Why would you ever answer the phone like that for your place of work? Not to mention I've come in there before and the young lady working was beyond rude to my friend and I, makes me wonder if it was the same hateful young lady on the phone! Cupcake Kitchen is a cute treat shop in the downtown area. The store is clean, and the service is pretty good and consistent. We have made several trips there in the last two months or so, once we stumbled onto it. The cupcakes stuffed with ice cream are an absolute MUST try (I had the Birthday Cake flavor and loved every bite). The portions are a good size for the price as well. In addition to "regular" cupcakes, they also serve a huge variety of cake balls that are flavored and decorated to match many of the larger sizes. They offer a pretty large variety, and often feature "special" flavors. I suppose the only drawback is the size of the shop itself, as on weekends it can be difficult to find a seat. Though that only seems to reinforce how good the cupcakes are. Our trips to Cupcake Kitchen have yet to end in disappointment. read more

Wow! These cupcakes are so flavorful! We got six cupcakes and cut them up into 1/4th's so we could have tastes of each and they were flavor bombs!!! The lemon cupcake was made with lemon cake, filled with lemon curd and topped with lemon frosting. The icing on the chocolate mint had a strong mint flavoring and was super sweet...which I liked the strong mint flavor, but not the sweetness. The cookie dough tasted JUST LIKE the small soft cookie that comes on top and had a little ball of cookie dough in it. The peanut butter chocolate cupcake has the BEST peanut butter frosting that is not too sweet and tastes like peanut butter rather than the inside of a peanut butter cup. The death by chocolate was a perfectly moist cupcake with yummy dark chocolate frosting...not too sweet. My least favorite was the mocha cupcake because the frosting wasn't flavored strongly enough with the coffee flavoring...but I like my coffee strong. The service here was great! The two ladies there were very friendly and helpful...even when my six month old spilled my hot coffee on the table and floor. read more

I hosted a Total Eclipse party, found I ran out of time to bake any type of dessert, and discovered this bakery online. It was so worth the hour drive on a late Friday afternoon (while running to the airport to pick up guests)! The size of each cupcake was more than ample, and a fork and plate kept eating neater! Some decided to cut in half and share to sample flavors. Although their cold display was broken which took a little away from the selection and look, we got a milk chocolate cupcake that was light and delicious, and a cookies and cream cupcake that was ok, still good but would have gotten something else if had it to do all over again.
