I have been to Cupids in the past. Their price board lists "The Works" inside and outside clean at $75. In the past, with additions and tax, my cost was about $90. The woman came out and then tripled the price to $225. No thanks. To be clear, I am the only driver and rarely have anyone in the car. The back was clean, the passengers side needed a regular vacuum and the drivers side needed a little more on the inside. The exterior was not all that dirty as I go through car washes regularly. There used to be lineups for car cleaning but now, only 1 car was there. I came in asking for the"Works" for my wife's car. The car was above average clean on the outside and the rubber mats had some small pebble gravel from the winter. The lady came out to look over the inside, then went back to the window and handed me the credit card terminal which read $160. I returned it and said there must be a mistake here. She replied the car is pretty dirty. Our family and friends have been using this car wash for over a decade. This was a bait and switch and I will not be returning. In speaking with other patrons this is not an uncommon complaint. read more

When asked by the lady at the window what type of cleaning job I preferred I told her that a simple in/out wash would do. She checked the car over, worst were the front floor mats, no junk to work around. Got home, there were streaks on two windows from drippings. Also drips from the car handles. Asked that they keep the car overnight so all the interior would be dry from shampooing and washing. Picked it up the next day and the seats were still wet. After picking it up and I went to put down my windows none of the switches worked. I also had issues with some of my sound system switches. They obviously had them coated with the cleaning fluids or wax that they applied. The person I brought this up to told me that I obviously did this and that the switches couldn't have been working in the first place. After purchasing an electrical cleaner and applying to my switches I got them working again. I will never take another vehicle here to detailed and highly recommend no one else does as well. read more

I wanted was a car wash...outside and inside. All I asked for was a price. Certainly it was an easy question and I thought would elicit an simple answer. I was wrong. I was given a bunch of information on basic, ultimate etc. etc. Every chance I got I asked for a price. I kept being told it depending on the condition of the car...the woman had looked at the outside...and was sitting inside the car. She kept saying it depended on the condition and I kept asking for a price. She kept asking what level of service I wanted but never did answer the price question...even as I was asking her to get out of my car. I have received this kind of price runaround at Bubbles before which is why I drove the extra distance to Cupids. I wonder if Bubbles has bought Cupids or if Cupids has just copied the terrible business practices of their rival. read more

They charge more than double the base price, and writing an honest review is a 'THREAT' to them! I had a disappointing and frustrating experience at Cupid's Car Wash & Detail Center that left me both surprised and deeply dissatisfied. Upon arrival, I inquired about pricing. The front desk attendant was courteous and helpful, stepped out of her desk and came all the way out to my car to explain the packages offered, including the Superior Clean, which covers both interior and exterior - listed as $75 and up. I agreed to the service and she later asked if I wanted to add tire cleaning once she was back at her desk, which I accepted. To my surprise, I was then told the total cost would be $165--a more than 100% increase from the base price. Without tires, the quote was still $159. When I asked how the price had doubled, I was told it was due to the "condition of the car." This made no sense to me. The vehicle was just serviced and washed at a Honda dealership the day before. It was generally clean, needing only light vacuuming and an undercarriage blast (my main reason for visiting there)--hardly enough to justify such a steep markup. When I voiced that the pricing felt unjustified and said I would mention it in my review, another staff member--possibly a supervisor--intervened. Instead of addressing my concern, she responded rudely and dismissively, told me to "carry on," and outright refused to service my car, claiming I was "threatening them with a review." I was just being honest that I will mention the pricing in my review - that felt offended to her! She added that she will respond to my reviews and "will deny" whatever I will write. I was stunned. This is not how customers should be treated for simply asking for transparency. If a business can't clearly explain its pricing or handle respectful feedback, it has no business offering public-facing services. They may have been good before--and perhaps that's what built their initial reputation--but at some point, arrogance and poor customer service can take over. Charged more than double the listed price for The Works because of "vehicle condition," as if I were going to bring an already spotless car in for detailing. Sure, they cleaned the exterior and the mats, but missed multiple interior surfaces and barely vacuumed the seats (which was the main reason I went in to get this detailing done in the first place, as I have a dog and wanted to get rid of some of the hair). Took our truck to Cupid's Car Wash for interior and exterior cleaning. Asked for an extensive cleaning of both the interior (including stained upholstery) and exterior. When we picked up the truck they had done an acceptable job on the interior but failed to clean the truck bed. When asked if they would reduce the more than expected $735 invoice as they had not cleaned the truck bed, but was told this was not included. Suggest future customers get an up front estimate and details on what is included. However, we will not be using Cupid's again as other detailers have provided better value and service for us in the past. read more

Went there to drop off my car at around 8:35am as it was convenient for me because I work in the area. The door was open and a staff sitting there rudely told me they open at 9:00am sorry (maybe I interrupted her facebook or IG time). I asked if I could do a drop off and she respondent with a rude NO. I appreciate that Cupid's offers jobs to individuals trying to get back on their feet and to those with mental health issues. That and the fact that service was fast and friendly, and the waiting area clean and comfortable puts them at the 3 star mark from 2-2.5. However the job they did on my truck was not great, and I paid for the biggest package they offer, "superior" interior & exterior cleaning for $55. Pretty cheap compared to Bubbles, but it really shows. As others have noticed, the interior cleaning is not very good. Streaks and dust left everywhere. My truck was dusty but not soiled, and there is still dust and crud along the ridges and the corners of the dash. The windows were well done. The exterior was alright except they didn't rinse out the bed (had a small amount of dirt there from a houseplant I moved), so there was dirt trailing down the back of the truck and the bumper. Fast job but not a great job, and the price reflects this. Not bad for an exterior wash but go somewhere else to get your interior cleaned. Next time I'll save my money and go to Bubbles. read more

I am so impressed with the experience I had today at Cupid's. It was my first visit, and I will certainly be back. I wanted a mini-detail, but they were too backed up, so they suggested a supreme interior cleaning. At the end of the line, the person doing the final details was not happy with the vacuuming job, so he sent it back. They redid the vacuuming and also put some dressing on the tires for the inconvenience. The car is amazingly clean, meeting or even exceeding what I would have expected even from a mini-detailing. It was much better than the last interior/exterior I had done at Bubbles. I can't recommend it enough! read more

Honestly I'm extremely disappointed with this place. I understand 56$ is "cheap" for an interior and exterior wash but I paid for a better package for a reason. I love getting my truck washed here. About $25 for an exterior hand wash and under $100 for full exterior and interior clean including a wipe down of everything inside. They don't use armour-all either so it's not like a slip 'n' slide inside when they're done. You're in and out in a short period of time and they have a nice waiting room with sofas if you want to relax and wait while your vehicle gets done. All in all, excellent service and they do a bang up job! read more

Great place on Gateway for a car wash and detailing. Drive up to the entrance and then get out of the car and wait inside; there's a spacious heated waiting area with places to sit, but also with windows looking into the interior of the car wash so you can follow the progress of your car as it passes through getting cleaned. At the end is a larger area where interior detailing happens if you want it; I got the mini detail and they were quick and efficient. Don't know how their more expensive packages compare but this was great value for a low price, would recommend. read more

Thank you Cupid!! I rolled in to the carwash about 18 minutes before they close (5pm sharp Monday - Saturday by the way) with a major, and I really mean major, exploded diet Pepsi situation. Three cans of diet Pepsi were left in the back end of my car - and we all know what happens to that in -20 temperatures; frozen Pepsi everywhere! It looked like a slurpee the size of a pond was whipped up in the trunk, ugh. But the guys at Cupid got on, cleaned it up, did a fantastic job and 13 minutes after pulling in I was back on the road! Debbie & Jessie have always treated me right and if you are not happy with the end results of a wash they will look after you. Keep your expectations real for a car wash and you will be fine...if you want a professional detail for your vehicle....then pay for one from a premium shop ($500++ for a show level detail). I have had high end vehicles for years(Cadillac V coupe, Mercedes AMG, Lexus) and continue to trust them with my cars as they truly do a hand wash here. Dirt on the back exterior was not cleaned (and the car was relatively clean to start), the top of the windows were not cleaned, the rear view mirror and the front console were not touched. Well, Cupid's arrow did not strike me with love from this experience. I went here based on Yelp reviews, but the reviews did not match my experience. First, I was overcharged. I asked for the basic $19 package and paid with tap, not even able to see the machine, but trusting. I was charged $29 as there is an extra charge for "excessive" bugs. This charge is listed as $5, but for some reason I was charged $10 extra without being advised. In these COVID times, I was most uncomfortable (after paying) to be informed that I would have to leave my vehicle and they would drive it into the car wash due to its "low profile". Apparently a Beetle Convertible is akin to a supercar with its limited clearance! :-) Given that this was a requirement, it would have been great if the last step was to clean the steering wheel and the stick shift since the woman that drove my car was not wearing disposable gloves. The other disappointing thing was that they blew off the tow ring cover on my bumper. I saw them fussing with my bumper and assumed it was a stubborn bug. When I got my car at the end and asked where the cover was, I was informed that it probably went down the drain and was lost. I asked to speak to the manager who informed me that since my car was old (7 years and 60,000KM) that things will "just fall off". Luckily, the gentleman cleaning the bumper did find the cover and deposited it on the dash. All they had to do was be honest and tell me that they had knocked this off. Like any business, how you handle mistakes makes all the difference. I would NOT recommend the service, the experience and the results. Go elsewhere, Cupid doesn't live here! read more

The first time I went here, I had ask them to take a look at their work to see if it met their expectations. The owner said it did not and he fixed the issues. We had a good chat and I went back twice thereafter and Cupid provided quality workmanship. I went today and I was turned away. I was told that my car was to muddy. I can see this being there practice but I had no mud chunks on my car, just mud stains from a mud puddles. I would have preferred if the attendee got off her chair and truly looked at my car to evaluate. I was starting to bring my company fleet here but after this I will have to find somewhere new. This is very disappointing as my initial experiences were good. At this time I would not recommend their services as I do not believe my car was to dirty for a car wash and no effort was put in by the window attendee. read more

First time I took my car to Cupid's (last fall), I got the full exterior/interior clean (minus hatchback/trunk space) and it was around $70. Was a good clean the first time - I was happy with it. 2nd time, about a month ago, I purchased the same package. I took it back to Cupid's for 2 reasons: because I was happy with the first time I went there, and even moreso because I now park outside, so needed a good cleaning complete with good drying (which is what I got the first time), to keep my doors from freezing shut. When the guy handed the keys over to me, I opened the door and it was dripping wet. Not wiped. None of the doors were. And was a questionable vacuum job, too. I asked the guy to please wipe down the car doors, due to parking outside (and it was COLD out then, too). For that $, for a basic car clean and vacuum inside and out, I expect the doors (especially in this weather!) to be wiped down ... expect a really good job. That's not chump change. Was disappointed. Place was not at all busy - there was mine and one other car. There was lots of time to do a good job, like I had the first time. Left feeling ripped off and pissed off that I had to ask for the doors to be dried and questioned the vacuum job. Felt like I caught someone on a bad/tired day or something, and I paid for it.
