We had a great time during our tour of Chinatown and Little Italy/North Beach even during a rare…read morehot day in the city! It was fun being tourists for the day even though we are Bay Area natives. Our tour guide was Andre and he was very knowledgeable and kept our group of 10 engaged. Not only did he explain the history behind the places we stopped by, he showed us the beauty of San Francisco. The food was great and I was stuffed by the end of the tour. From what I recall, we sampled sesame balls, dim sum, roasted duck and sautéed green beans, fortune cookies, lots of tea from a local tea shop, Italian sandwiches, cannolis, gelato, and pizza. I forgot to take pics of the food but I'll have to say my favorite was the salami sandwich from Molinari.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The meeting instructions were unclear, and…read morewe ended up at the wrong location even though we arrived 30 minutes early. About 10 minutes before the tour started, I called and spoke with Trinity. She told us where the correct meeting point was, and we explained we could be there within 15 minutes. Instead of trying to help us join the group, our reservation was simply canceled. We lost both our time and the money we paid. A little flexibility and better customer service would have made all the difference. I wouldn't book with this company again.Stay away!

booked Cozymeal's "Chef Rick / Latin Cuisine Made Easy" experience as a birthday event for my wife…read more It was advertised as a hands-on cooking class where we would create a four-course Latin-inspired meal with instruction. That is not what happened. There was essentially no hands-on cooking. My wife and I repeatedly asked how we could help, and the only participation we were given was washing lettuce and chopping a small amount of pepper. There was no meaningful instruction, no real teaching, and very little engagement. The ingredients were also very disappointing for the price. Store-bought tortilla chips were used despite the menu advertising homemade chips. The carne asada was supposed to include chimichurri, but it was seasoned with store-bought seasoning from a jar and no actual chimichurri was prepared. I contacted Cozymeal immediately with detailed feedback. After delays, they refused to refund the booking and offered only a 15% gift card toward another Cozymeal experience, which is useless because I would never use them again. This was an awful experience and Cozymeal did not stand behind it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform.

Then Cozymeal canceled the class, and now refuses to transfer the payment to another class. They tell me to go to Viator or Chase, but Viator can't do anything and Chase says the refund has to come from Cozymeal -- and I can't even receive a refund through Chase anymore because that card account is closed. So I'm just supposed to lose $280? Rhoda Lopez at Cozymeal was unhelpful and just kept repeating herself. No solutions. No accountability. Just finger-pointing. I've never experienced such a frustrating and shady setup. Avoid this company at all costs -- they do not stand by their own bookings. #CozymealFail #CustomerServiceNightmare #TheyCanceledNotMe #CozymealScam

Not A Good Time We…read moregot suckered into their LivingSocial deal. We signed up for their Drunken History Tour. We signed up for a tour on. 1/14. On 1/12 we received a message that the tour was canceled. So we canceled other plans & rescheduled for 1/21. We showed up at the meeting spot at the appointed time. We found 2 others waiting. All of us waited for a 45 minutes in the rain (A half hour after the tour start time.). No tour leader, no message, nothing from Best. We live fairly close to San Francisco. One of the others was from out of the area. We sent multiple messages to Best. It's now after 5 on 1/23 and we have heard no response from Best. Don't waste your money or your time.

For some places like Ghirardelli it does not even really count as a true chocolate stop as you can walk in on any day of the week and get a free chocolate from them. Cocoa Bella, Teuscher and Spicely were 3 of the best shops to stop at, but you could walk over to any of these places on any fine day instead of paying for someone to walk you to the stores. If anything, this place exposes you to different chocolate companies in SF. If you're a true chocolate lover and enjoy dark chocolates or flavor infused chocolates then skip this tour. Your money is better spent on fine bars of chocolate. Our consolation was that our guide was funny. If you want a suggestion for a good chocolate tour in the bay shoot me a message and I'll tell you one worth checking out!
