I'm so frustrated everytime I order from online they place my order and after a couple of hours they cancel my order then takes ages getting my refund on my gift card !! YOU NEED TO SORT YOUR SYSTEM OUT IF ITS NOT IN STOCK WHY TAKE MY MONEY AND PLACE MY ORDER IF U JUST GNA CANCEL IT?? I ordered a microwave because unfortunately my microwave is no longer working and because I have kids we use the microwave daily basis but I am now left with no money and no microwave and they can't refund me today because it's a Sunday this is not the first time this happened to me if I didnt hav a gift card I would have never shopped with curry's they always let me down !!! Boiler room sales tactics. Wanted to buy a hoover from the Oldham Store. Went into store and was met by a pleasant man selling Dysons (little did I know). I wanted a VAX as I didn't want to spend £200. He told me to come look at his Dyson as they are much better, which I must agree they are. But I could not afford it. He told me that Dysons are a trustworthy brand and it would last at least 20 years and the VAX would only last me 6 months. I asked him about the other brands and he said you get what you pay for. I then asked about the Sharks as they looked pretty expensive. He said that they were also rubbish and just priced more expensive to seem as though they are good but were just as bad as the vax if not worse. I have owned a vax previously and they lasted for ages I said he then said they don't make them like the used to and only used cheap material that would not last. He kept on saying oh you don't have to buy just take a look I wont pressure you to buy. He kept on repeating this and every time I felt even more pressure. He wanted me to take out finance which I said I did not want to he said it made sense in the long term. I felt so much pressure by his behaviour and was left confused with all that he said I decided to leave. I came home and looked on Amazon and Argos and found the reviews customer left after purchasing hoovers helpful. I have decided to buy the vax online now as it was cheaper and they hopefully will deliver later on today. I don't think that I will ever go into that store again as they force you to buy the most expensive products. I don't get why Currys hold Vax hoovers if they have no intention of selling them. The way they train their staff in there is shocking if they were selling shares they would all be facing jail time. read more

Appalling aftercare from this store from Knowhow. Purchased an expensive Asus laptop in store that was a display model and was told they will need to reconfigure it and clean it. This should be ready the next day or two days at the most. This laptop is for my daughter who is starting her MSc course today. We told them we needed it quickly and they said no problem. Well after telephoning their customer support number 5 times over 3 days (20 minutes or more to wait to speak to their support team each time) to see if its ready I have been cut off twice and had no response from my enquiry from the local store. The local store answers the call then hangs up, they don't respond to their own internal email within 24 hours as they are required to do so. Just poor service from such a big name. I now have to travel 6 miles to / from their store to ask them is it ready when they should be telephoning me. Very unhappy customer. read more

I went into the store on Tuesday to buy a computer. The one we wanted was not in stock but we were reassured by a member of staff named Daniel that if we went home and ordered it on line it would be ready for collection after 5pm the next day. We went to collect it the next day and were told that it was 2-5 days. I needed this computer for business purposes and have now received an email saying it is due on the 26th with is 7 days since. This is poor and misleading information given out by the staff at the store and I am very upset at the situation. read more
