I don't think there is much they sell that could not be sourced elsewhere (e.g. online). I'm all for supporting local shops but you have to be rewarded in some way for doing so, if not in better prices then with better service and I have always found this shop to be slightly lacking here. Stock a wide range of electrical goods and spares, light bulbs, hoover bags etc

When I went a few days after Christmas the queue went right the way around the shop andd to the door. However this was probaly due to the generous returns policy which lets you return any unopened games within 10 days of buying. The staff seem to be very knowledgable about games and very helpful in finding the game you want. There is also an option to 'trade-in' games but I often think the money they offer is a bit low. Otherall I feel Game is a very good shop.

She has offered advice and brought along samples of fabric and basically there is nothing she won't tackle, from rebuilding a broken armchair to completely refurbishing a whole interior with blinds, curtains, furniture covers, cushions, arm caps, headboards and even muslin curtains to cover our glass conservatory roof. In fact, if there is anything that needs doing in the home, we immediately ring Julia as she is guaranteed to come up with an idea, however challenging the project and everything she does is absolutely first class. We highly recommend JR Interiors and so do the owners of our holiday cottages who have been delighted with her work.

Leading up to Christmas there is a good selction of Christmas decorations at the rear of the store, although they are often quite expensive. If you are doing any house improvements I would reccommend visiting Malletts as they do seem to have plenty of tools and materials upstairs. On the ground floor there is a china department. Malletts is not usually very busy so it is quite easy to get around. There are a lot staff around the store which each know about the specific area they work in.
