First they don't acknowledge you as the guest you have to, they watch you like a hawk up and down the clustered poorly lit aisles. I just went for convenience and to think for a black owned business in a better part of the city that they'd be more welcoming and see all customers for who they are rather than thinking everyone is out to get them. Just so you know I would rather drive 20/30mins to Brooklyn Park or South Minneapolis for a better service and for sure a much better interaction where customer service is concerned. For those folks who always say buy Black thank you and no thank you when it comes to BEAUTY PARADISE @ 9066 Lyndale Ave S,Bloomington MN. Well I had spoken to a lady on the phone and she had said that I could make an appointment at 9 am…read moreso then I go there and it's not even open, I waited till 10 then they had opened but the door was locked. When they had unlocked the door I said I was there for an install. I get in the chair and the person doing my hair did not talk to me the entire time, she had been talking to another staff member in the other room. When she was doing my install she didn't even measure my hairline she just cut the lace on a mannequin and then she didn't even hide the bald cap I was wearing when she glued on the wig and the wig didn't even fit around my ears because she didn't cut around my ears, I was so dissatisfied I should have just gone to the place in the mall of America like I did last time atleast they actually made it look good. Oh my gosh I almost forgot, when she asked me if I wanted the wig sewn in I asked how much that would be and she was like "she didn't tell you when you walked in?" And I replied no. So then she was on the phone and after the call she said come to the register and then I had paid 85$ for a crappy install and the wig not sewn in. I regret tipping. I had to cut the lace around my ears when I had gotten home and glue down the parts that weren't even glued down. I had also noticed that they had LEFT A 2 CLIPS IN MY HAIR. So I would not recommend this place. Just go to the one in MOA they do such a better job AND they actully talk to their customers.

We called ahead to see if she could accommodate our group of 6, and she prepared the place for us. She was so gracious, kind and caring towards our group but most importantly, our friend. She had a vast supply of wigs to try on, and was an expert in choosing the right color/styles. It was such a fun evening trying on different hair styles and laughing with the owner. Eileen answered and gave me a same day appointment. She is so knowledgeable and courteous with an awesome inventory of just what you would want. When I arrived for my appointment, she selected what I was looking for from her vast assortment of quality toppers, she did a few adjustments to the topper and I walked out a new woman. I've gotten a lot of complements. Her prices are reasonable too. I wish I had gone to her sooner.

This is serious business and you need to take your time trying on wigs. The third one was more high end and it's a great look and a good fit, even for the world's smallest head. Lots of styles and you can order special ones. I went for the synthetic vs. real hair type since I don't like to do anything with it. It was an experience I never thought I'd go through, but I'm hooked.

The garage has a door, just pull up and it will open! I was greeted right away by a very friendly woman and offered a beverage. I got a sparkling water and took my seat to start the pedicure. My nail tech was nice! The water basin was placed and was the perfect temp! The pedicure I got looks beautiful and didn't feel rushed! I had a different nail tech for my manicure and she was also very friendly! The manicure was done well and I am very happy with the results! I would absolutely recommend this nail salon to anyone! The price may be more than other places, but the service I think is worth it!

The robe I was given didn't fully cover my belly (I am 5'7 236lbs) but it did cover my large chest and you are under blankets, so no one will see you! The robe was very adjustable, so even larger chested gals would be totally fine! The chair I sat in to start was also fairly wide :) Katie was so welcoming, friendly and just so positive! It made the experience feel safe and wonderful!! We started by taking a picture of my scalp and taking about how to make my hair healthier in the future! Then we got down to business! Katie left the room so I could change. This was down to underwear and socks but you could leave pants on if it made you more comfortable. The bed is heated and so comfortable! The sheets were also soft! Actually everything she used was soft! The hot towels were delightful! The halo (Japanese head spa) felt soooo good! Definitely worth it! And Katie does your scalp, hair and gives you an arm and hand massage, I was in pure heaven! I would absolutely recommend Katie!! She is absolutely amazing!!
