PLUS...we fell in to the warranty timeline so we didn't even have to pay for a service call! A win-win! We have really enjoyed the quality and workmanship of the blinds! We absolutely LOVE all of our shades!! We chose the banded shades for our living room! My husband is really excited that they are battery powered. Hannah recommended the Sonnette Cellular Roller Shades for the bedrooms in which we chose the room darkening option. We now sleep great with the room nice and dark. Both the Banded and Sonnettes are perfect for where they are and are so beautiful for our brand new home. This company is amazing! Very professional and customer oriented. I contacted them when we bought a new house three years ago. They came out and measured and installed the blinds when they came in. Recently I had a problem with two shades in my basement. I called them and they did all the leg work, kept me in the loop, and called to let me know the manufacturer agreed to replace the shades and they would call upon receipt and their man would install them for me. All steps in the process of getting our new blinds ordered, measured, and installed was perfect. Hannah was excellent to work with. Very knowledgeable about the products and which ones would work the best in each room. She listened to my questions and concerns, and provided solutions that we could work with. I've always had great service from Custom Blinds & Design and would recommend them. The reason I have given a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating is because they have recently instituted an $80 service fee. Hunter Douglas window treatments come with a lifetime warranty. Hunter Douglas should be paying this fee, not the customer. I live about 7 minutes from the gallery and my repair took Marcus less than 3 minutes to complete and the part might have cost a nickel. I hope that they will reconsider this service fee or at least make the fee more more reasonable and consider distance driven to the customer's home, etc. read more

I decided to get Hunter Douglas Binds because I had heard from friends they were of really good quality. My son had used Custom Blinds &Design and was happy with their work. I called and was pleased to have Rhonda come within a week. I had samples to choose from at my home and everything was well explained. Within a few weeks Justin came to install them quickly. He removed and took away my old blinds since I didn't want them. He installed the new ones and explained how to operate them. I am absolutely in love with my new Vignette PowerView Shade. It is BEYOND beautiful. Hannah was my talented designer! She helped me pick out the perfect product and fabric. The top down bottom up function creates the perfect ambiance. Greg installed my shade in no time and walked me through setting up the PowerView operating system that allows me to operate the shade with Alexa or a remote. He also taught me how to set up automatic schedules for my blind to open at sunrise and close at sunset. The automation is absolutely worth it. Hannah was a very professional and enthusiastic consultant! She took her time with us, had plenty of options to show us, and treated our 16 year old daughter very well while going over choices and understanding the "vibe" that our daughter wanted for her bedroom! Great communication on how long our order would take to come in. The installation went very smooth. The installer wasn't 100% happy with the fit on one of the basement windows (although we could barely tell there was even anything wrong), and he came back a different day with new blinds that fit even better! My experience with Custom Blinds has been stellar! Greg is awesome. I've had problems with my shades and Katelyn has been stellar working directly with Hunter Douglas. You may be able to find blinds cheaper but it is worth the extra cost because this company takes care of you and their goal is for you to be happy. One of the auto shades stopped working. Apparently, the motor died. Custom Blinds worked with Hunter Douglas who sent out a new shade with appropriate motors. Drive representative called for an installation date and time. Arrived, installed, and tested to ensure it worked. The service and response time was excellent. This is my second home in Lincoln in the last eight years. Custom Blinds did my first home and my new home. First of all, rhonda, our salesperson was wonderful. She led us in the right direction after visiting our house and really seeing our needs. Then the gentleman who installed our blinds was awesome. We got shades done for our new home and I liked their customer service through the entire process. I got prompt responses and they answered all my endless questions with patience.
