So I've literally spent thousands over the years on seeing multiple health practitioners and joining different types of gyms and any program possible (30 day detox's and shake plans etc..) I've also spent $1000's more on different supplements. The reason it was all so frustrating is I cannot remember a day over the last 6-7 years where I haven't tried to be healthy and keep my weight under control. Yes... I'd eat some things I knew I wasn't supposed to but it was like no matter what I did my body was fighting to hold onto the weight and slowly gain. SPOILER ALERT: I lost 40lbs LOCATION: I went to the Lake Orion location and did the consultation. From what I could tell Ryan seemed to have a really strong knowledge of the program and the details of what I should do and not do. I've seen a ton of people over the last 5 years so unfortunately, I've paid out the a$$ to experience all different types. After we went through all the details - Ryan pulled out protein powders and supplements and talked to me about them... I thought the extra sales pitch was coming as he asked some more questions about my health and goals etc... So he added another supplement to the mix and put them in a little satchel and handed the bag over... no sales pitch. It was all included. Also.. he told me to stay in the 2000 - 2200 calorie range for my body... which was awesome because I don't like starving myself haha. HELP & COACHING It was so helpful to review what I've been eating and see what was impacting me. Every scheduled appointment seemed like we were taking a tactical approach to what was working for my body and what wasn't. It was cool to find out that certain items like certain dairy's and certain nuts impacted my body negatively. There were also two of my scheduled meetings with Sarah and Ryan that kept me on track when I was feeling frustrated that the scale wasn't moving as much as I wanted it to. Without that... my wife may have found me in an alley in downtown detroit with a pizza on my face. TWO MONTHS LATER: I've gained about 3 lbs back from my lowest weight. But I went from being super disciplined on the program to introducing a couple treat moments throughout the week. I honestly hadn't intended to have so many of these a week as I wanted to stay on track but my body has a new normal. It's crazy to me - before the program, a snack or two and my body was a blow up doll and then I'd fight for WEEKS to get my body back to where it was before For example - today is Tuesday morning and on Friday night I had nachos and queso and a couple beers during poker night. Saturday I ended up eating some french fries and a slice of pizza (and a bite of cake) and then between Sunday and Monday of getting right back on track my body is back to where it was Friday afternoon. Before.... well let's not talk about before because that's never happening again. COST: -If you were like me...you've googled the cost of the program and were a little apprehensive. So I looked around and got pricing on other places as well. One donkey show, in particular, told me the program was $400-500 which sounded great but then I had to add on bars and proteins and shots and go back three times a week and by the time I added it all up.... cost was insane. It reminded me of flying Spirit airlines... I get the seat and then the add-ons just kill you. Here everything is included. Supplements, protein powders, weigh ins, coaching calls, educational app, daily videos, and they even gave me a bottle of salt to use. SALT!!!! I have a special place in my heart for salt and they said if it's this good salt to use it with freedom. My heart sang haha. Drawbacks: -At first, the idea of fasting through breakfast (or having just a shake/custom coffee) wasn't my favorite but after the first 5-7 days, it was awesome. For some, not eating breakfast might be hard - but the money you save helps. -I'm really struggling here... you know my reviews are honest and candid and I hate not having something to provide balance to what I'm saying... so... I didn't love that I couldn't (should be read as shouldn't) eat bacon on the program. I love bacon... but I did have it a few times throughout and still got results. -they didn't find me sooner... rather I didn't try it sooner. Deanna H. Joined the program for three months where you do it on your own and no coaching involved. CHC withdrew the payments automatically from my bank and on the fourth month another payment was made. I immediately called them to get the funds put back into my bank account. They assured me it would be taken care of. I literally have called and emailed more times than one should have to, but sadly the money has not been refunded and now I am resorting to posting on yelp to let the public know. I also have not received the last months supplements I should of received. I think the program would of worked had I had the coaching but could not commit to that kind of money. The program did not work for me. I enrolled In the online program. I had multiple technical issues with the app. I contacted tech support multiple times and they were not responsive and my issue never got resolved. You're on your own with technical problems because the app is new and the company does not support the technical issues. I followed the food program to the letter, my coach although very nice, was unable to give me anything as far as advice that was usable except to keep trying. Then to add insult to injury they billed me another month that I did not authorize. Due to the auto bill clause on the contract. Beware of that! For the expensive price tag I expected much more. For a fraction of the cost I could use another weight-loss app that has more features and you can interact with and just follow keto- kinda the same thing. Man I'm disappointed. read more

I loved my experience with Custom Health Centers! They were excellent with encouragement and nutritional advice! I love how everything is organic, real food. Within a couple days all my sugar cravings were gone! I lost weight and met my goal of fitting into my size 8 jeans and all the "skinny clothes" that have been hanging in my closet for the last 5 years. I loved the included health & fitness coach! What a blessing to have someone who was an expert but not judgmental or condescending about my age or fitness level. Plus he was fun to talk to, very down to earth and caring! I also love how a follow up program is also including in the cost. I'm on my second month after the program and still get to go back for follow up appointments. I believe this goes on for 6 months. My husband did this and spent 2,000.00 on this diet. He listened to the commercials from 103.5 the christian station. They said you can eat what you want and don't have to starve your self. WRONG! They also promise that when you go off the diet you keep the weight off. Well my husband lost 20 lbs. but gained all of it and then more back when he completed the diet. Very misleading! Do NOT sign up for a plan with custom health centers. They do not tell you what the plan is until after you sign an agreement and commit to the program. The program ended up being the keto diet where they supplied me with Dr. Axe fire pills, probiotics, and protein powder for your breakfast/snack. This was in no way CUSTOM. It is a scam ... you are paying over a thousand dollars to do the keto diet, which you can do on your own through proper research and consultation with your physician. I did this program back before Covid, so this review has nothing to do with what they're doing now (which looks like mostly an online program). PLEASE consider the program before you sign up. Not only is it incredibly expensive for what it is, they give you a program where you're eating 500-600 calories per day. ANYONE will lose weight by restricting calories that much. They guarantee you'll lose 20 lbs over 40 days. I lost 14 lbs and could not get past that, but did I receive a refund? Absolutely not. I did absolutely everything they told me to do, I followed the program exactly as it was laid out...in addition to the foods they recommend and calories they ask you to cut, I also purchased all the supplements they carry and items like makeup, lotions, face/body wash that doesn't contain oil, etc. because they claim that beauty products that contain oil will be absorbed into your skin and cause weight gain or weight maintenance. After I was finished with the program (which actually ended up being 50 days because I hadn't lost a full 20 lbs), I went onto their "maintenance" program. As soon as I started eating normal food again, my weight went UP UP UP. They tell you to do a "steak day", which consists of not eating anything all day until dinner time, then eating a steak, or an "apple day" where you can eat 5 apples during the day, to get you back on track. I don't care who you are, only eating 500-600 calories per day, or eating one steak or 5 apples in a day is NOT healthy. I also developed somewhat of a binge eating disorder after doing this program because my body was like, give me food! This program does not reset your metabolism and it's pretty much a scam to have you pay a bunch of money up front, then pay even more money for the "supplements" you "need" for the program to work. Save your money and try something like Weight Watchers or even just counting calories with an app. It may not be as quick as Custom, but at least you won't be literally starving yourself and paying over $1500 just to see the weight you lost pile back on once you're done. Like I said, I lost 14 lbs doing the program, and ended up gaining 30 after I got off. I cannot stress this enough...RUN from this program. Went here a while ago, and I still think about how bad the experience was. He sold me on an 'unlimited' visits package for almost 600$ for one month. We only came 3 times. He did something to my husbands back that landed him in the ER later in the day, and hurting for weeks so my husband was unable to return. I told him and he didn't even say sorry, or anything. I had this little spot of time that I could come see him after work and before I had to pick up my kids from school at 2 pm but he opened up at 2 after lunch and was never there on time and I tried several several times to catch him as I passed it 3-4 times a week while heading home. He also took a full week off for thanksgiving and I just had to pay for that. You'd think after he destroyed my husbands back and took a week off, that maybe he would extend the 4 weeks I paid for and give me a week in December since he had a week off, but nope. He talked about how he couldn't wait to open franchises so he could sit back and collect his money which I found weird because most chiropractors I've met have been very passionate and doing it because they love he work, not because they wanna get rich. read more

Its been an amazing transformation. I was never a person that could diet and loose weight. The program is really not much of a diet, but just choices of how to eat. I did research and then visited this facility during the first week of April 2015. I did meet people who had lost weight there. I watched the video, filled out my intake form, and then met with a counselor. After telling me that I was obese (I have about 30 lbs to lose) I was shown a form and asked to pay them $1,970 for the diet. They do not give you any further information until you pay. I walked out. I have a friend at work who did signed up and she shared all of her information with me. The diet is NO oil and NO sugar for 40 days. No alcohol. 500 calories a day! and some appetite suppressants to help you eat less. Drink water which they give you because it is a "special water". No hard excercise. To me this is not an honest business because they do not share the diet details with you until you pay, then it is too late to change your mind. I do think this diet can work for some people, but 500 calories is not recommended by any qualified clinic like the Mayo Clinic. $1,970 is alot of money for people, and perhaps that makes them stick to the program. My thoughts was that this was a company taking advantage of people who were desperate for help. read more

this has been a great experience. so far i have lost 20 lbs. and i am continuing to work on losing more. it has been an eye opening to learn that the eating habits we grew up with are so harmful to our bodies and contribute to the most serious diseases and conditions of our times. sometimes it is tough because i have a strong sweet tooth, but i have a young family and i want to be around for a long time yet. i have been impressed with the knowledge that all of the staff at the livonia location have. they have been very encouraging when i have struggled. thanks a lot everybody. dan phelps read more
