Saw them working on a property and followed employee to owner. The owner followed me to property saw the tree I needed cut down and gave me a fair price for service provided and said he could start the following morning. Joseph and his crew were there the next morning and had the tree down and everything cleaned up in about 2.5 hours. He said it would be a couple days to come back to get stumps ground up that I asked for and he did exactly that. As an out-of-town homeowner in the Tidewater area, I found them incredibly easy to work with. This is the worst tree cutting company! They were in our neighborhood cutting 3 trees last week... our neighbors tree that's 2 houses down. They had ask my husband if it was okay to put the trees that the cut on our yard, and they will come back to pick it up, and one week later it is still there. What upsets me is that the cracked our drive way... and we tried calling, which is not even our job... it's the neighbors job... and it goes straight to voicemail. Please read!! Im not the type to write reviews that would affect anyones business and livelyhood but i feel it is very important that other people are aware of Joes business practices. I hired Joe back in August 2017 to cut down a large tree in my backyard. He reassured me he could take the tree down the following week and it would only take one day. He asked for a $900 deposit to be used towards a crane. Reason being that he does not own one and would have to rent one. He rescheduled our appointments 8 times, 5 of which he never called to let me know he was not showing up. At one point he called me asking for an additional $400. After being patient and waiting 3 months I asked Joe for my money back, to which he refused and said if I canceled I would lose my $900. I explained to him that I did not want to cancel but he has failed to comply with our contract. Before taking him to court I searched around for information on his business and got in contact with two other customers who he had also taken a deposit from and not completed the job. On the BBB he has an F rating. He never showed up to both court dates, and after pleading my case to the judge i "won" the case. I still have to collect the money from Joe as he has failed to repay me even after losing the court case. read more

Unreliable, has taken almost a full week to do tree trimming that was described to us initially as an afternoon's work. And it's still not finished! Multiple days of not showing up when expected, then some work done, then not showing up again to finish, many excuses why. Totally aggravating experience. read more

If there was a way to have no stars that is what I would do. A family member is the one who actually had the service done. This guy that was in charge told my family member that he would be there at a certain time in the morning but didn't show up until the afternoon. Then, the next day said the morning and then didn't show up at all. Called the next day and said an excuse. To me it was one excuse after another. The tree should have been cut down in three days tops it took them over two weeks because they kept messing around. To me that is not good business workmanship. I will never recommend this company or use this company ever!! read more
