The stylist I went to several times asked to "correct" my hair but it was just darker of the same that I told her not to use after keeping me in her chair 4 hours the first time, 3 the next. Afterwards she said she was sorry that we had a different understanding of the color while admitting she heard me say to not use that color before starting. She proceeded to gossip maliciously about me to others and I decided to not return to her. I waited over six months before deciding to post this review. There was a lot more that I can say but you get the idea.

I explained to her that I need somebody who's proficient in cutting short hair, and she quickly fit me in her schedule. I felt at ease almost immediately. She asked me what I was looking for, I shared with her the picture and she immediately told me what products she was going to be using. She explained every step of the highlights and checked in with me regularly to make sure that this is what I have envisioned. While I was waiting for my highlights, I also overheard other hair stylists in the salon communicating with clients in the same manner. I appreciated the detailed explanations and overall friendly attitude. I was looking for a white highlights with cool tones. It turned out exactly how I was hoping. The haircut was also excellent. I've had so many stylists who are not comfortable with cutting short hair, but with Miranda I felt I was in the hands of a professional. I would highly recommend her salon to anybody. And, of course, I will be back.

I found her completely through Yelp and we communicated via messaging for a while before we arrived. Taylor responded promptly and even was okay with my florist shipping my flower crown and boutonnière to her. She did such a great job on my hair! I love the loose curls and it looks great with the flower crown. All in all, a really great experience and I'm so glad I found her!

The morning of my appointment I arrived about 10 minutes late due to a road maintenance closure and the fact that I walked right instead of left around the building where her shop is located. Fortunately she was very understanding and non-plussed by my tardiness. I asked for a scissors only cut which she performed quickly and effectively but not in a hurry. The true test of a good haircut is how it looks a week later, 5 days in I will say that I'm very happy with the way she cut my hair. The only reason I gave a four rather than a five was the salon she works in is large with lots of people talking so it was hard to converse without getting drawn into listening to other conversations, in fact one of the other stylists made a comment about a topic I was discussing with Ms Beach. I prefer a smaller salon or one with more privacy between booths. Overall I'm happy with my cut and I will go back again.
