I called and they said walk ins were great, but you just need to wait. Ok, so I showed up and had to wait only 15"! That was fantastic! The two ladies were very nice and friendly-but I got a great haircut with a senior discount. But made sure that a nice tip reflected their efforts. Nice little 2 chair shop. Sarah called and ran out of time. Told her this was important and took a lot of bravery from me. She said she call back. I was very willing to come in even later, or after 5:30 when I get back into town from work during the week. She never called back. After an hour, I finally called back. She didnt even talk to me. Said she had no time to cut my hair at the time they gave me, today at all!! After that I was willing to come next Sat. but before noon. My whole day was centered around this appt today and I didnt want to waste another whole Sat waiting! They could not accommodate me. This is unprofessional at best. It is not my fault she does not manage her time better. I understand emergencies come up, but that was never the explanation. She told me " her day got ahead of her" She never called back, left me hanging to only have me call back and was un-willing to see me later, if she was running late.

I can't say for sure, but I suspect, if you want something more on the complex side of things, you might have better luck elsewhere, but if you want something straightforward from people with a good attitude, this is a great place. Keeping in mind that, unless you catch them during their 4-hour Saturday window, you will have to pay for parking. I got a spot for a dollar an hour, but it is a small factor. Ric was a landscaper for years (if I remember correctly), and I've been asking him about an issue at work. We ended up discussing it through most of my haircut, and afterward he asked that I make sure to tell him how it goes. I said it might be a while before I get back in there, and he said, between the two of us, hopefully one will remember. I like him quite a bit. The first time I walked in there was a man and a woman that knew each other getting a cut at the same time from the two barbers on shift. I would describe the woman's haircut as a flat-top-ish, "gym teacher" type of cut. I could use a lot of other words to describe it.

It took me a while to unwrap this, but by the time I left, I can't explain how much that meant to me (as a very hands on person who always has trouble finding words to express what I am looking for in a haircut). Every other haircut in my 3+ decades of life has ENDED with "Run your hands through. Does that feel OK?" ... But to be asked at the TOP of the visit, in a genuinely curious tone, before cutting anything, essentially 'How is this going to ACTUALLY look tomorrow and every day until you come back?' and not just 'How do you want ME to style this TODAY' .. was really empowering in a way I did not expect, so THANKS Elena!
