Top Ten Reasons I recommend Evolve Salon specifically with Salma:…read more1. Extremely professional and respectful, on time and accurate with estimating how long services will take 2. Up to date on current trends, techniques and products 3. She prioritizes my comfort, and provides honest and kind recommendations for color, style and cut consistent with what will be best for my lifestyle, level of maintenance and desired look 4. She is a perfectionist in the best way. She will give the most precise A-line to ensure my weird side is balanced with my good side 5. If you don't want to talk she will respect that and not be chatty, but if you do want to talk she will keep and interesting dialogue going 6. She provides dates and times that work with my schedule, and lets me order take out from Pizza Heaven on a longer appointment 7. She recommends and uses hair care products that support my needs of sensitive skin such as armonía free color 8. She helps me feel like my best outwardly appearing self and was totally up for giving me purple hair - so many compliments 9. I can use ApplePay from my phone 10. I get to support a talented and committed woman in business when I go to Salma

I didn't have a "negative" service at this salon but it was "mediocre" at best, especially for the…read morecost. This salon is easily $100-$125 more expensive just because of the area it's in, keep that in mind. Overall, I would give my hair a 6 out of 10 and my experience a 4 out of 10. I got a partial "balayage" and hair cut, and at this point I know that some salons don't do actual hair painting, it's basically sporadically placed color, and while the color itself is fine, I don't anticipate this growing out as well as it has other times I've gotten my hair done - I can tell because I've been getting my hair done for 20+ years at this point so that's a little unfortunate. But aside from this, I would have appreciated if she let me know she was charging me for more color - other salons haven't done this as often, but they do let me know when they do. Even with full "balayage" at other places, I haven't always been charged for more color so this was unexpected. Even if she just gave me a heads up though, I would have appreciated it. The haircut was very basic and simple even though I asked for long layers. The blow dry was also "okay" - I ended up going home and adding more volume into it myself. Most importantly though - the stylist was not engaging at all. I'm a new customer, she didn't ask anything about me. Made no effort to put in conversation with me. It is so unlike any experience I've had at a hair salon. I even asked her questions to get the ball rolling and there was barely anything back. 3-4 hours in a salon chair is a long time for such lack of conversation, it's very disappointing. Like I said - my experience wasn't "bad" or "horrible" but I am not going back and I would not recommend the salon.

Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about the technology-free environment, as I had planned to catch up on emails. However, disconnecting turned out to be a blessing. It gave my eyes and brain the much-needed break they craved. The location itself is a serene oasis. I thoroughly enjoyed moving from the cold plunge to the heated pool, then relaxing by the fire pit, and indulging in the steam room and dry sauna. The eucalyptus steam was an absolute highlight--hands down the best I've ever experienced. Walking out of Refuge Days, I felt rejuvenated and like a whole new woman. This place is a true sanctuary for relaxation and self-care. I can't wait to return and embrace the tranquility again.

Reception was helpful and friendly and facilities were overall pretty clean and well maintained. No issues with the steam room/hot tubs/cold plunge pools and sauna. The only bit that irked me a little was that this place is supposed to be SILENT and also they clearly stated in the rules that there are no saving seats with personal items but these rules were both not enforced, people were talking/laughing and not a single staff was there to remind them to quiet down. Also around the firepits people were leaving their towels to claim spots so it was hard to find a seat around the firepits, 2 of the firepits had no one sitting there but all the chairs had towels on them. The anti-gravity chairs were also really squeaky (like more than normal), so it was hard to relax with all the sounds. Overall a nice place but they really should enforce the rules that they have to make it a more pleasant experience for those of us who are there to relax. Also- not sure why it is so hard for people to follow the rules, i mean are you guys just stupid or illiterate and can't read the signs that say "silence"?
