Another 0 rating if we're talking about the University Ave. CVS. I've been having problems with the pharmacy for a year or longer. The automated call system constantly gives false information, like when the recorded voice tells me they are working on my script for PAIN MEDICATION but when I drive 1/2 hour into town I find out the script won't be filled until "tomorrow night"! This, or similar events, keep me without any pain relief. It seems they don't stock my meds but wait for the notice from my doctor before ordering?? In a perfect world I could let them "feel my pain" until the meds are in my hand. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I continuously have negative experiences with the workers in the pharmacy. I am constantly being interrupted when I talk to them both in person and on the phone. It's so frustrating that the customer service is so poor. I just wanted to get my prescription filled but I had to wait 2 weeks of the cvs sending messages to my doctors telling them that the order was wrong but then when I call my doctor they say that they sent the correct order and cvs pharmacy has been reading it wrong this whole time. The confusion was the amount of gel vs the amount of medication in the gel but that is a simple conversion that any pharmacist should be able to do. These pharmacists must have never taken a chemistry class because that is a simple conversion, even I could do it. read more

It makes no sense that this CVS is rated so low at this the end of July 2021. The manager is intelligent and fully involved, so if problems were brought to his attention, they would have been remedied. The workers are kind, attentive, and vigilant about caring for their customer. If you haven't used this CVS location in awhile; try them again. My doctor called 24 hours in advance to refill my prescription. I called the following day to check if it's ready for pick up, and the person I spoke with at their pharmacy, said it'll be ready in an hour. I showed up 3 hours after the conversation I had, and the Asian guy at the window asked me to come back after 20 minutes, throwing some attitude. He said they're still refilling prescription since August 31st. I came back after 20 minutes and the pharmacist said they don't have it in stock. What a waste of time. It shows how incompetent these people are at their pharmacy. They could have at least let me know the first time I was at their drive-thru, that they don't have it at all instead of asking me to come back. read more

Normally I'd pass on a review for a chain that's like every other version of this chain everywhere, but I will pass on some props for very friendly counter staff who were helpful with a very miscellaneous shopping list. This location's a little hard to get to with the awkward entrance and exit -- I don't think I've ever patronized it but I came close to some kind of traffic incident -- but for proximity to downtown Amherst that has easy parking all the time, it's easier to go here than downtown for sundries. read more

The minute clinic is terrible. I opted to go here to get wax cleaned from my ears instead of my doctor because I thought it would be faster. Instead I was met with an incredibly rude nurse practioner who first questioned why I thought my ears had wax in them (uh because my ears feel clogged?) and then told me my heart rate/BP were too high for her to do the procedure, even though she confirmed that I did have build up in my ears. She then accused me of not caring about the high heart rate/BP when this is not the first time it's happened for me and I work closely with my doctor on these matters. I'm not just sitting around pretending it's no big deal like she seemed to accuse me of doing. Why would I let a random nurse practitioner in a CVS push me around and freak me out? When I work with way more competent and caring doctors. I wanted to be like you are causing my heart rate to spike right now! Then she charged me $99 after totally wasting my time. I told her that and she was not pleased, but you know what, c'est la vie, if you gave a shit about actually helping people, you wouldn't have been as rude and condescending as you were. I will not return here. I suggest going to your doctor or an urgent care before you go here to do anything. read more

This is a review for the store as opposed to the pharmacy. I have been in several times to make Christmas cards as well as print photo's and other shopping needs. I have found everyone, especially Tim to be very helpful, patient and informative. As I worked on these projects, I also observed him interacting with other customers, employees and even a vendor. He was so kind, recognizing when he needed to step in to assist to move the cashiers line faster, helping unload a truck in the back and making sure that everything is orderly and efficient. You see his supportive nature with fellow staff and the culture of kindness begins with him and his team emulating him. I have shopped here many times and worked on picture projects for several years, so I base my long overdue accommodations after multiple visits. Thank you Tim and all of the staff here at CVS. This is one of the worse CVS pharmacies I've ever visited. I visited the pharmacy around noon on July 21, 2018 to get some cream recommendations for a rash on my hands. The female pharmacist on duty was unhelpful, nonchalant and incredibly rude. In the three minutes or so of the conversation she recommended nothing for the rash and just gave vague answers like there are so many rash ointments out there if hydrocortisone isn't working then I'm not sure what to tell you. read more

I wanted to recycle empty pill bottles there - all bottles from prescriptions filled by that store - and they wouldn't take them. And a very grumpy woman pharmacist was very emphatic on that fact. The pharmacy is extremely busy due to the huge volume of customers. The drive thru around 5:00 p.m. is especially busy because everyone wants to pick up their scripts on the way home. If you are able to go at a different time, or on the weekend, you'll have a much better experience. Most staff can be very helpful and polite. read more

I have no complaint about the pharmacy or sales team whatsoever. This revier is purely directed at the Min Clinic. I have strep throat and pink eye. It's so bad that I can't eat, sleep or speak. I walked in and was 2 minutes past closing. 5:32pm and the nurse turned me away. My test literally took 7 min at my doctors office the next morning. You just swab the mouth and pop it in solution and wait and then look at my eyes. Anyway I had a horrible night of pain because this woman would not look at me. I have to use this pharmacy for some medications because of my insurance. However, to echo what other reviewers say, the pharmacy staff is generally very unfriendly. It is rare to be greeted with a smile; sometimes you don't even get a verbal greeting at all but just a grunt or a glance up when you approach the counter. There are many people behind the counter bustling about but they don't seem to like each other much as they seem to snap at each other. I dread going here! The service received at the pharmacy was the worst I have received in my life. The girl who works at the drop off area (with the piercing) was very rude without reason. When customers ask questions is because we don't know the answer, it won't hurt you to be polite. I have a suggestion for her: Review CVS' mission and vision and try to reflect them in your work. CVS Mission Statement: "Above all else ... our mission is to improve the lives of those we serve by making innovative and high-quality health and pharmacy services safe, affordable and easy to access." Went to the minute clinic for a flu shot. The nurse practitioner was not pleasant or friendly. Got the shot ok, but the personal interaction was cold and unfriendly. Not a nice experience. It is always pleasant at the checkout, but not at the minute clinic. I would hate to think what it would be like if you had to have an interaction that required some sort of diagnosis. read more

This Pharmacy is convenient because of the drive-thru. Other than that, I don't ever want to come back here again. All Pharmacy staff are extremely rude. This one middle-aged woman with curly hair, and glasses put up her "next window" sign just as I was about to step up. I noticed her not doing anything, but really just not wanting to take me and cash me out. I ended up getting a young woman named Brittany, I would have rather just cash my own self out. She kept throwing the scanner down when she was done scanning, and made me really uneasy. I wanted to switch pharmacies because the parking is more convenient, and like I said at the beginning the drive-thru. This pharmacy is chronically late when filling or refilling prescriptions. They appear to have serious time management issues behind the counter. In addition, all too often they are "out" of standard prescription medications, causing further delays in getting medications to the client. On a good note, staff are friendly and polite, and the drive thru window is a plus. read more
