Now apparently by contrast the floor lead must have been busy- she actually overlooked me and told cashier to wait on another customer without acknowledging me! This CVS is terrible. Their printer was having an issue with printing my receipt and their worker who said her name was Moosh-Neck was trying to make me pay again and could barely speak English or understand what was going on. The manager was just as incompetent and as I was arguing with Moosh-Neck someone in line tried to tell me to just pay it because they were being impatient when I had already paid. I am so frustrated with the death of customer service. The CVS website didn't list the vaccine I needed so I called and was told it would be there for my appointment. Got the vaccine and when I called to schedule the booster (also not listed on site), they told me I needed a different vaccine because they gave me the WRONG one the first time! Probably not the best reflection of the CVS brand. This particular location tends to be messy and out of sorts regularly as well as a lacking The ability to keep their shelves stocked. Oddly enough for highland park, this spot tends to have quite a few individuals requesting donations outside his door for different reasons. There have also been a few robberies recently. At 9 pm on night I realized I was stupid had completely run out of my meds. I forgot to pick them from another CVS location that closed at 8 pm. I was so worried that I would feel flu like symptoms during work the next day from not having my meds. I called the pharmacist Daniel around 9:40 pm and he was so kind and helpful. They had my prescription filled within 5 minutes. I picked up my prescription at 10 pm. I am so unbelievably appreciative. Thank you for being willing to work at a 24 hour pharmacy. Oh little CVS on Mockingbird that Could.....you try so hard yet you always let me down. The best thing about this CVS is that it's the location closest to my house and easy to get to. They have all your basic needs and the CVS Rewards card isn't bad at all. I have not shame it hoarding my Reward Bucks. Yet, the prices at service at this location often keep me away. The first complaint is the service. Thank the Lord that they have self checkout now because back in the day checking out took all day here. They usually only have one employee on the floor besides the pharmacy. The pharmacy counter could also use a lesson in customer service. I once asked a question about cold medicine and they really didn't want to help. They also won't ring you up in the Pharmacy unless you're buying a prescription, even if there's no other customers. Second complaint is their prices on non-promotion items. I rarely will buy anything here unless it's on promotion. Hair products, hand soaps, and laundry detergents are just a few items that cost about twice as much as Target or Kroger for identical items. This location isn't as expensive as the Main Street location Downtown, but pretty close. $17 for laundry detergent? $4 for hand soap? This ain't Alaska. In the end, if I'm in a rush or too lazy to drive to Target, this is my default stop for basics. I'm sure the staff here is wore out on blue haired seniors and SMU students but a course in customer service for their staff would go a long way here! read more

A little surprised to read all the negative reviews on this CVS. My experience there is pretty normal and just like all the other CVS's. This location is a little older and more worn, but fine. I do get annoyed with the CVS loyalty card system because I just don't go in there enough to want to get a loyalty card but when I do go in there I know I am giving up money by not having one. read more

They have helped me sort out many different issues with my prescriptions and showed me which products I should get for what I was needing. Whenever I do not checkout at the pharmacy, I use the self-checkout, so I cannot speak to that, but the people behind the counter are always ready to help if there are any issues with the machine. read more

I called this CVS location to see if it sold stamps and envelopes. A woman by the name of Bethel checked if both were in stock, confirmed they were, and even explained the different kinds of stamps and envelopes that were available. After she ran through all of the products I mentioned that I would choose regular stamps and 9x4 envelopes. SHE offered to put them on hold for me so I didn't have to search the store after arriving, and when I came, rang me up quickly and kindly. I don't particularly like or dislike this CVS but what I can tell you is Bethel is a great employee!! read more

My BCBS insurance does not cover anything from Walgreen's pharmacies anymore... Sucks for me. CVS pharmacy-- every single location I have visited in Dallas-- including this location-- and ESPECIALLY the branch on E. Campbell in Richardson-- is an absolute nightmare. I get in a horrible mood when I know I have to tackle this place. Transferring prescriptions is like pulling teeth... one by one. They are always out of medications. They are rude. They tell you to come back in an hour to pick up your prescription and when you come back... surprise.... they are out of the script. They don't even know the names or numbers or addresses of any other CVS branches. They don't know how to pull up prescriptions in their online database. Basically, they are the WORST pharmacy EVER. I would seriously pay twice the price to go back to Walgreens in a heartbeat. CVS.... please go away. read more

I am a little stunned at how I was just treated by a pharmacist. I walked back to the pharmacy, where a nice woman who was helping a customer acknowledged me while I waited. Eventually, (as the transaction was complicated) a young Indian man walked over to me and asked if I was dropping off. I told him I was wondering if they had a behind-the-counter nasal decongestant in stock, and before I got through half of my sentence, he pointed to the pick-up line, where I assumed he was intending to meet me. He never went to check on it, and I realized after a minute that it was a brush-off. The young lady who was busy did finish up and helped me get my medicine, and gave me some tips for sleeping better. I couldn't believe he didn't even say something, like "oh that's the line you need, I can check you out there," or "I can only do drop offs," or anything. It was just so rude to be ignored and walked away from mid-sentence. I live close to this pharmacy but I'll find another. read more

I am reviewing my experience with the pharmacy. First of all, they are SLOW. How long does it really take for you to walk two steps and pick up my medicine? Everyone seems to hate their job. Unfortunately, this is the closest pharmacy to my house and they already have my prescription information, so I will suck it up and return. My horrible experience was with the CVS at 6120 Mockingbird. Techs Elizabeth Jang and Joe Ybarra are two of the rudest, unprofessional people I've ever had to interact with in my opinion.Everyone in that store with the exception of one person walks around with the saddest expressions on their face and act like helping you is the last thing they want to do. The guy Joe was extremely hostile when I asked a question, told me they had a problem with me every time I go in there. Spoke with the pharmacy manager who said that wasn't true but told me basically it wouldn't do me any good to complain to the regional office bc they would just kick it back to him. It is like the fox guarding the hen house. I start a new medication that would pay them about a $150,000 from insurance. Needless to say, never setting foot in that pharmacy again. The other day (1/5/2016 at about 12:30 pm) I went to fill a prescription on my lunch break. The head pharmacist on duty was very rude and inconsiderate. She proceeded to discuss the nature of my medication loudly for anyone to hear, and explained to me that they don't fill for pain management (sounds ridiculous but whatever). I explained that it wasn't for pain management, which really isn't any of her business what my doctor and I decide for my route of treatment. I sat around for an hour waiting for her to verify everything with my doctor, which they told her ALL the info she needed to know. In the end she rudely explains to me that she won't fill it and that its upon her discretion and refused because she never heard of the doctor. I find this funny because when I type my doctor's name in Google, I found a plethora of info and verification of my doctor and his offices. So, not only was my time wasted, I felt extremely disrespected and belittled. I am not usually one to post bad reviews wherever I go, for this is the first time I've ever used Yelp or even posted any type of review online. I was absolutely appalled over the lack of consideration this pharmacist had, and her actions reflected this. Not everyone who turns in a prescription for a controlled substance is a scammer! Even after all info was verified! I think it's a safe bet that I will never fill at this location again while she is employed, which is a shame because it's literally a minute from my office. To that pharmacist: shame on you for treating people the way you do at your JOB. I'm hoping you were just having a bad day, and don't normally lack the professionalism as you had at that time. On a positive note, the young man on duty who was checking in prescriptions was very polite and helpful. Keep up the good work! read more

I have been to this location numerous times and noticed an obvious lack of employees in comparison to other CVS stores in the area. This time when I got up to the register and absolutely no one was around (I never saw an employee the whole time I was shopping) there was a sign posted on the counter at the register to try the self check out. Since I was $10 in CVS bucks that would virtually make my item free I decided to have a person help me at the register. I was not sure if I could use that coupon at the self check out and where I would insert the coupon. After a few minutes an employee (an older man) came to the register to help me. He was so unfriendly and looked at me like I was crazy for not using the self check out and making him have to come help me. I told him I was not sure if I was able to use coupon at the self check out. He RUDELY said yes, you can and then proceeded to just stand behind the counter and wait for me to go use it! You are standing right there! It is one item. Ring it up already. As he just stood there I realized he really was not going to help me. I walked away with my item and used the self check out. I can not believe this guy is in customer service. I won't be back to this location unless I have no other choice. read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever been to in my life and it has nothing to do with the actual pharmacy itself..it's the workers! They are rude, slow and extremely unhelpful. I stood at the self check out for 15 min waiting for someone to help me because my machine said "staff needed" because the checkout machine was a POS. I came in earlier this week to pick up my prescription and it took half an hour. I understand things get backed up but I feel like the staff was not trying their best to make sure the customers were served on time. My biggest complaint is with the large redhead. She is the only person I spoke to anyway. The pharmacist seemed like they had their fair share of work and that's fine. The woman was just standing there SLOWLY, barely moving when there was a long line in the pharmacy. On top of that, she was making small talk to everybody as she was ringing them up. They all seemed annoyed already. Then, she would slowly, like a sloth, walk over to the phone to pick it up, and then, ever so slowly, walk back. It's no wonder the pharmacy was backed up. They should get better help here or retrain her on the importance of people's time. read more

I shopped here for almost 40 years, with all the CVS predecessors but will never step foot in another CVS. The pharmacist, Stephanie, treated me terribly, as did one of her assistants. If they don't like dealing with sick people, get another position where they don't deal with human beings. I moved all of my prescriptions to a competitor and couldn't be happier. So long CVS. it needs to send shoppers around to its stores. If this store were anywhere but in University Park, it would be out of business. read more
