Every time I have been to this pharmacy, the line has been long no matter what time I come. The staff tries their best to get the line moving but it's apparent that this location is understaffed. I find that I spend at least 20-30 minutes (minimum) to get my prescriptions which is a lot longer than other pharmacies I had used in the past. I switched here from Walgreens because the Walgreen's Lakewood Blvd location closed and this one was the nearest to me so I am pretty much stuck. Wish CVS would hire another staff member to help with the demands of this pharmacy location. I do think another person would make the line move and lessen the wait time for customers. Outside the wait, this pharmacy is good. No issues with them. read more

I have to give this CVS 5 stars. I've been here a few times and every time I've noticed how clean and organized and well stocked they are with so many items. Today was exceptional because I came in for a bottle of tequila for a small celebration and the store manager happened to be passing by me and asked if I needed anything from the locked up bottles, and I said, "Well, YES I DO!" Lol and out of nowhere an associate pops up with the keys and unlocks it and picks up my bottle of Jose Cuervo agave and takes it to the front checkout. Yes!! I also did early Valentine's Day card shopping since I saw the whole store decked out and prepped for the holiday a month early. I was thankful since it gave me a chance to pick out a card for my hubby. I usually wait until the end and miss out on so many choices. I lucked out this time. Brutal CVS! My assumption is that since they're close to a high school the inside of the store is really messy! But all that aside, the elderly (50s-60 year old) lady with glasses that rung me up was definitely a unique experience. First off - she had her earbud on and was talking to someone about non work related things in front of me as she was ringing me up. I told her I came for a photo pickup and told her my name twice (had to repeat myself since she had her earbuds on). So she's there looking for my name, and still calls me by a different name. She finds a photo and was like , ..."Will"?! At that point I repeated myself for a 3rd time. She finally found it, put the picture inside the little box it comes with and gave it to me and walked away didn't even say anything since she was too busy talking on the phone. Tre the pharmacist at 2am is horrible. He takes his break for like 30 minutes and then takes his lunch. I waited with the flu for him for 30 minutes to get my medicine and even checked outside for him. I discovered after I went to my car he was parked right in front of me. Do not go here at all if you are trying to get something quick or pictures or any items requiring you to wait in the check out line. They look short staffed and have to do many tasks that could delay wanting to be in and out fast. This isn't a critique of the employees, but the foot traffic of this specific place. I waited to write this review because I didn't want to write an unfair review out of anger. But it's been a month and I'm still angry so here I am. Arrived for to the drive thru around 7:10pm and there was one car in front of me. 30 minutes later, they finally hand the prescription to the car in front of me who drives off. And then, as I eagerly pulled forward, the window person looked me in the eye and closed the f****** drive thru. Sure, in their defense, the pharmacy closes at 8pm and it was 7:40. BUT (1) I was literally the only car remaining in the drive thru, (2) I had been 1 of only 2 cars in their drive thru since 7:10, and (3) IT WASNT EVEN BUSY INSIDE. I walked inside despite being infuriated, thinking that ok whatever maybe they're super slammed for time. NOPE. They had 5 workers and only two people waiting in line. What a waste of my time, anger, and energy. Also though this is one of the slowest CVS pharmacies ever y'all. Accidently posted a 2 star review for this location in error instead of the cvs on Florence. THIS CVS is awesome for me. I don't know the employees on a personal level but I've seen thier faces for several years. Especially Jose, he's been there since it used to be a SavOn Drugs. Super sweet young man always willing to help. The managers are pretty awesome too. I like thier selection of drug store make up plus thier flexible return policy. The store is always clean and well stocked. Today all I bought was a nail polish. But I come here very often. Love me some Extra Bucks. The employees are always welcoming and if I don't find what I need I can always find a friendly face to ask for help. They sometimes have lysol wipes behind the counter do ask. Do NOT buy gift cards from this location!! Bought several gift cards here only to find out they were SCAM cards! Once they were opened new bar codes were placed over the real ones and the money was stolen! When we went back to talk to the manager we were met with "oh...yeah...that happens sometimes". Excuse me, what?! If this is something that "happens sometimes" then I suspect that employees are the ones scamming people! Was told we would have to wait 4-7 weeks for an "investigation" and I honestly don't believe I will hear back! Again!! I used to always hate that there were 2 CVS's on the same street within a 1 mile radius. But when I went to this one's pharmacy I understand now why they needed another CVS in the area. There's always a customer at the pharmacy. One time I was waiting in the pharmacy line for about 10 minutes and the line kept growing there were about 5 customers in line including me and we were waiting on 2 customers being served and 1 at the refill window and there were 3 of them working in the pharmacy. From what I observed one of the pharm techs couldn't find one of the customers prescriptions. She looked everywhere and even asked the other pharm techs who were also busy. This went on for about 5-7 minutes of her not being able to find the customer's prescription and then another worker telling her to look in one of the other alphabetical last name bins. Apparently it was placed in the wrong alphabetical last name bin. Little mistakes like that will slow down a business and that's exactly what happened. Other times the pharmacy have been alright. I've gone when there were 4 workers at the pharmacy and 3 customers including me and I still had to wait a little bit. read more
