This is the worst Kroger I've ever been to. It is clean, it is well stocked, however trying to…read morecheck out of this nightmare location is nearly impossible. There are no actual cashiers to speak of... There is only self checkout. Normally for me this isn't a problem; I use self check out all the time at many different stores. This however, was the most frustrating self check out experience anywhere. the machines are atypical to say the very least... they did not work properly, all non prebagged produce had to be looked up and entered manually, as did bakery items, the person who was supposed to be there monitoring machines didn't know what she was doing, there were no signs on the machines, indicating that they in fact do not work like any other self check out machines anywhere. It took me 15 minutes to check out seven items, after waiting at least 15 minutes to access a machine because every single person was having trouble using them, and even then the lady who is supposed to be monitoring the checkout stations was virtually no help....When she did finally help she was rude. There was an a unfortunate elderly lady next to me who had been trying to check out a small buggy full of groceries before I even got into line, it took her until I was nearly finished checking out myself, before she finally just gave up. That's right...She gave up. She kept trying to get the machine to take payment of any kind, and it kept refusing, she asked the "employee" who was supposed to be there helping people, to help her three or four times... The machine wouldn't scan things, the machine wouldn't take payment, the machine kept double scanning things, it was literally the stupidest thing I've ever seen, so she basically just walked out and left all her groceries just sitting there. That's how completely unhelpful the lady monitoring self checkout was. Then this stupid "employee" acted all put out when the person who went to check out where this unfortunate elderly lady had been, discovered that she left her groceries behind in complete frustration., and that she was going to have to send the stuff back to be shelved. Maybe she should have done her job in the first place!! I will never come back to this Kroger, and I don't recommend anyone else ever do either. I'd rather shop at Walmart, or pretty much anywhere but here.

"Penalties for HIPAA Violations by Pharmacies It doesn't matter how large or small your business is, HIPAA compliance for pharmacies is not optional. There have been several penalties for HIPAA violations by pharmacies over the past few years. Not only can HIPAA violations attract a significant fine, they can also seriously damage the reputation of your pharmacy. The HHS' Office for Civil Rights has increased enforcement activity in the past two years and fines and settlements over HIPAA violations are now far more common. State attorneys general are also taking action over privacy breaches and are pursuing financial settlements when PHI is exposed or impermissibly disclosed. State attorneys general can issue fines up to $250,000 for violations of the same type that are experienced in a single year. The HHS' Office for Civil Rights can issue fines up to $1.5 million per violation category, per year." From HIPAA Journal, April 6, 2018. (Note: PHI = Personal Health Information)
