I have been coming here for over 10 years for my prescriptions and have made phone calls with questions and always the employees are helpful. The drive through pick up line moves quickly. The pharmacy manager Jamie M. at this location is very rude. She talks over you and if you are disputing the quantity of your prescription, she pretty much tells you, you are wrong. Don't waste your time trying to have a professional conversation with her because it wont matter. Not only did I receive my cream prescription unsealed, but it was under halfway full. She told me it has always been this way and I told her I have picked up my cream at this location several times and have never received an open container halfway full. CVS Pharmacy in Highland (on 45th) the pharmacist basically lied to me about not having a diagnosis code (which the doctor confirmed was sent) and did not take the urgency of filling the medication seriously (my wife had just gotten out of the hospital after a serious surgery and only had two hours left before her pain medication wore off). She never returned my phone call and ultimately told me to take my business elsewhere (which I did). I strongly suggest that you stay away from this CVS pharmacy. They truly don't seem to care about a customers needs or concerns. read more

The pharmacist here is absolutely horrendous. She lied to me about what my doctor told her and denied me my medication. This is the kind of pharmacist who is helping create the black market and Chinese fentanyl. When people are in pain and they want relieve they will go to the great lengths to get that relief so now I'm forced to look on the street for medication that will probably be laced with fentanyl and kill me because the pharmacist here decided I should not have my medication a week early after having had a horrendous car wreck. She didn't ask me for any of these details she just made up a story about what my doctor had told her. Pain management is really a terrible thing to have to try to live through and people trying to put up roadblocks every step of the way is causing countless deaths by The unregulated black market in this country. I hope this woman is fired and loses her pharmacist license because she does not have any compassion or empathy and she needs to be working in a warehouse somewhere and not talking to people. If i could give this joke of a pharmacy, specifically the pharmacist-Christine/orChristine (last name also starts with C), however you spell that NEGATIVE stars, I would, in fact, after i leave this review I will be reaching out to the regional and national head to ensure she loses her job altogether. (Unfortunately, i was staying in the area at my moms so had to go with the closest place which happened to be this location). My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow and my dentist sent in pre surgery meds for me to take the night before my surgery. An hour after, and 3 calls later my prescription is still not filled. The pharmacist who fell off her high horse hangs up on my doctor not once but twice, then has the guts to tell me he called her from "the wrong number", after I specified the office closes at 7, and it was now 7:45pm that she decided to pick up the phone call. Two ancient ladies helping her, who are as useless as the "G" in lasagna standing there looking as clueless as anyone I had ever seen. Altogether, stay away from this place, and Christine/or Christin/ or however you spell your name...I hope you have your job in the morning... read more

I see why this place has one star. I unfortunately had to switch from Walgreens to cvs because of new insurance and wow. I messed up. As a new cvs customer, I switched my prescriptions online with a set day and time to pick up. I called before and they never received the change. They did it over the phone and told me it would be an hour and a half to do the change. I couldn't pick up at that point, which I told them and they said that's fine. I never received any notification until the next day in which they called to say come get my stuff but disregard if I already picked up. This was not the method of notification that I chose over the phone but it's something. I guess. I finally made it in Monday at 7:30. I was the only one there but there was a wait to find out that I needed to go to another counter where I answered some information and was moved back to the original spot and waited some more. The experience was weird and I'm glad I won't have to go in regularly. I miss the ease of Walgreens already lol they had even notified my doctor that I needed a refill so that I didn't have to talk to anyone. It was all done online. Maybe cvs does this? The drive-thru is always backed up and they always screw up the prescription orders. One pharmacist will say when to pick up the prescriptions but it will not be ready. They need to get their act together. I'm updating my review almost two years later and they are still incompetent stating a prescription is ready, yet after sitting through drive-thru and it's out of stock. We are ready to get all our prescriptions at Vytos or another small business who cares about their customers' time. read more

Especially the pharmacy part of the building is very bad and I always miss my doses for my medication because they never have it or they don't help at all to get it so I have to wait a week or two to get anything at all. read more

This is the slowest CVS I have ever been to. I wait in the drive through behind one person for over 15 minutes EVERY time. I have a one year old so lugging her in every time to pick up a prescription is not ideal. They also have some of the rudest staff. I am officially going to drive 15 minutes out of my way to go to a different one because this one is so absolutely awful. read more

Months after I thought my photos were lost I got a call saying they were at this store. So I called there and Contessa refused to help me with getting my photos. My photos are stranded at this location because of their mistake and no one is willing to help me. I used to come here all the time and loved it. I stopped coming here a year ago because they were so slow. Now I gave them another chance and it's an hour and a half for one script. Never again. I won't be back. I don't think it's the employees fault CVS keeps cutting employees hours. I hope you make so many cuts you go out of business. We will see if those cuts pay off. read more

I had never been to this CVS before and only went because they had an appointment available today. The 'pharmacy folks' are a disgrace! I took my 17 y/o daughter for her booster, on time, for her appointment. She is a college student and needs her booster before she returns. I was with her, she has a pic of her vac card on her phone as her card is at school. Many people have a pic of their vac card on their phone. I explained this to the 'pharmacy folks' and they looked at us like we had two heads! We had our 1st & 2nd vacs at a community center during the summer. They didn't care, were not willing to assist, were rude and unprofessional! Asking us, "how would we document that, what would we write it on, well if she doesn't have her card, there is nothing we can do"? I have friends in the pharmacy industry and called them for assistance.They were shocked at the behavior and lack of resourcefulness of these "educated" people! I had to control myself, I was with my daughter, it's new year's eve and didn't want to cause a scene that may have led to my arrest! I called Walgreens, to ask for advice, I explained what happened. The pharmacist said they happened to have ONE vial of Pfizer left that they will open this afternoon and said they would be happy to assist. Told me to come with my daughter and show the pic of her card! We will go to Walgreens this afternoon! In hind sight, the energy at this CVS is bad and it was not meant for my daughter to be touched by the people at this place...bad JuJu! read more

This is the worst pharmacy EVER! After 2017 my insurance changed and I couldn't go to Walgreens. While trying to figure out why they (my insurance,)wouldn't fill more than seven days worth of my prescription, and I was talking to a very rude white woman with a bob-cut brown hair (she was talking down to me as if I was a child,) their most retarded employee that's an Indian woman who cannot spit out any common English words took my other prescriptions and ran them into the computer to be filled when I didn't ask! When I tried getting my prescriptions back she told me in very broken English that they can't. I took my other prescription to Walmart's pharmacy where they actually explained the situation to me. Now after two months of dealing with this CVS location, have had it with their slow drive-thru, their terrible Indian woman that tells me "You can get your prescription filled on the fourth," then when we try to fill it try and say, " No it can only be filled on the 5th." My doctor's office warned me about that place that "The Indian woman is a f***ing b**ch, they lie straight to your face. I had to pick up burn cream for my friend and had the Doctor call them up and fill it over the phone. He called me back to say it's ready for pick up, then that Indian woman tried saying they never received a call from the doctor. Only when I threatened to call the doctor she said 'It okay! We fill it!' " They treat you like garbage, they lie about when you can fill prescriptions, and when you're like me and decide not to go there anymore... you get calls from the Indian woman claiming there's a "problem" with my prescription, when I never went to fill it in the first place. I had to call and have my information removed so they wouldn't contact me anymore. It's a tactic they use to extort money from your insurance company. Do not go here! If you have a chance to go somewhere else, then take it! read more

I usually go to the CVS in Dyer but they didn't have my script in and this was the only place that did. This is by far the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I work in customer service and I understand that things get extremely hectic but this is insanity. I sat in the backed up drive thru for fifteen minutes until I finally went in where I had to wait in line for another fifteen minutes. The woman was very rude and ignored me while on the phone for so long that I ended up having to leave so I didn't miss an appointment I had set up. I came back today and waited AGAIN with a woman behind me that had the exact same complaint. Once I was finally waited on it took forever to get my script in the system only to hear that it'll take two hours. The pharmacists on staff are very rude and have no customer service skills. I hope to God my normal CVS never runs out again. read more

Horrible service. Rude, incompetent pharmacy staff. Always a wait, even if there is no line. Employees are poorly trained on billing procedures and end up wasting your time and money. Once told my husband his prescription was $500 and when he said 'No that's not right.. did you run my prescription card?" He was met with hostility and resistance to find any solution to the problem. Manager came over and properly ran the refill through the prescription card.. ended up costing $25. I came to the drive thru window after receiving a text alert that my Rx was ready. Waited at the window for 5 minutes before the woman came to help me. She then informed me it would cost $100. I explained I have a manufacturers coupon on file and that I only pay $25. She then refused to finish my transaction, claiming it was a "rebill" and I would need to come inside. I go inside and wait at the pick up counter, finally that woman tells me I need to go wait in the drop off line because she can't enter the coupon. ( why can't the cashier enter a coupon!!?) I then wait in line at the drop off desk.. I get up to the counter and a different woman says ," Oh you need to go back over to the pick up counter, I already gave it to her." I then have to go back to the line I had just waited in .. and wait again! This may not have been such a frustrating experience if I wasn't treated so badly. It was as if I was an inconvenience, even though this was their error that they were correcting in the first place! Doesn't matter what time, what day or who is handling your transaction .. this pharmacy is AWFUL ! I would rate 0 stars, if the option were available. read more

I think this a great pharmacy and won't go anywhere else! I always go inside, sometimes it's busy and there are times i walk right up, just like anywhere else you go. The staff is always polite whether they are busy or not and ask if you need further assistance with anything. I have total confidence in the pharmacists that work there also. Today the tech realized I was paying too much on my prescription and saved me $40... love it, they are always looking out for you!! read more
