Pharmacists are always helpful at location, but it is literally impossible to call the store. The cvs app that is pushed, constantly is missing my prescriptions, does not actually send through my refills I need, and is constantly out of stock of every single prescription I need. I'm diabetic and I get forced to wait sometimes weeks at a time for items that I cannot go without and it is like pulling teeth to try to get literally any of these issues addressed or even attempt to find the items at near by CVS's. If you're seriously sick or need your prescription ASAP, please please please have it called in elsewhere. I read the reviews and thought "I'll take my chances," which was a huge mistake. My antibiotics were called in at around 8am and I wasn't able to pick the prescription up until the NEXT day, and not for lack of trying. There is no way of knowing if your scrip is ready besides going into the store because they don't answer the phone - so they have a bunch of sick people waiting in line for over an hour just to be told their prescription isn't ready. So had to drive all the way over there to find that the Rx had not been called in yet. The way the 3 were allocating their time and resources was impressive in a not good way. I waited another 10 minutes at the pharmacy as the only one there in person. The chick waiting for an answer from the pharmacist (in a jacket ) for a question of someone on the drive thru line was clearly taking ages, so this lady just stood around with her thumb up her a$$ doing nothing while the crowd behind me in the line started growing. Customer service in the pharmacy is horrible. I have to call to refill a prescription each monthly for my son because of the type of medication it is. I am on hold 30-45 minutes typically waiting to speak with a pharmacist. Sometimes, Its been over an hour. Last refill, I went through the drive through. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, they told me I had to come in to update my insurance. My insurance had NOT changed at all. I went inside and stood in line at the pick up window. Then I was told to go to the Drop offf/consultation line. This is now the third line. After waiting at the window for 15 minutes, I then had to to back to the pick up line. Unfortunately, I have to use CVS due to my insurance. I do NOT recommend the location at 1545 N. Meridian. Find another CVS if you need to use CVS. read more

Several prices do not match the white labels on the shelf when rung up. Employee told me I needed to have a CVS card to get that price. I double checked the price labels and that was not the case. Store is also in an awful side of town. Everything behind glass. Loss prevention slouched over on a chair by the exit. Just a disgusting experience all around. read more

The 2 stars are for being open 24 hours, which is handy. The missing stars are for the perpetually understaffed and/or mismanaged pharmacy. Trying to get a hold of someone on the phone means a minimum of 10-15 minutes and I've often just given up as it rounds past 25 minutes. I came in today to pick up a prescription that was filled yesterday, and it was ... somehow not ready. Is 24 hours not enough to fill 1 prescription? The pharmacist said it might have been put back, but that doesn't really make sense, because that's generally 1-2 weeks after you're supposed to pick it up. I know time feels different during COVID but this is wild. Oh well. Nothing like hanging out in the public areas for unnecessarily long periods during a pandemic! Edit: The kicker is seeing two staff members in the pharmacy area either not wearing a mask or wearing it incorrectly. Brilliant. read more

The pharmacy LOST my prescription records when transferring from another pharmacy! They couldn't even find the handwritten transfer request form. HEY CVS... THAT'S PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION PROTECTED BY LAW. CASE FOR A LAWSUIT? YOU BET! The pharmacy never answers the phone and doesn't have voicemail. So, it's impossible to leave a message... Something you'll want to do after calling and calling and calling with no answer. Don't waste your time on hold. After 30 minutes you'll hang up. I went to the pharmacy four days after my first visit to transfer my prescriptions to see what was going on. That's when I found out they lost everything. With at least six employees in the pharmacy (four of them talking amongst themselves), no one seemed too concerned about my situation or the many annoyed customers in line. I told the pharmacy worker to just forget it and chose another pharmacy. This CVS is a clown show!!!! read more

This is not directed to CVS but to the carrier service they use for online orders. I placed an order at 11:30 am and it takes 3 hours to deliver...The delivery service delivers it to the wrong place (and takes a pic of the wrong place). I am told by the delivery service (RODIE) that they will not send the drive back, they will not issue a refund, I could not speak with a supervisor!!! Well what will they do about their mistake....I was told nothing. I would have to call CVS and ask for a refund!! This process is horrible. If you make a mistake you should fix it. I have epilepsy and cannot drive. I will refill my meds on the app every single time, and have recently checked with my doctor to Make sure it is there, bc EVERY time I go there is an issue. No bedside manner, no apology. And I wait in the pick up line, since my meds have been "refilled" per my doctor and their website, and after 20 min of waiting, they send me to drop off, only to tell me it's not there. This has happened multiple times; I have multiple medications, too. It makes it so unbearable. After I called my doctor once more and went back up to the counter with her on the phone, I was then told my meds were there ??? But I'd have to come back in an hour hahaha. They just have no concern for people, people with disabilities, or doing their job correct the first time. read more

This CVS is flooded with lots of downtowners, primarily because of its convenient location. Right along Meridian and just outside of downtown with a free, private parking lot, it's worth putting up with many of its flaws. This location has a Minute Clinic which is also very convenient. The problem: it is FLOODED when cold/flu season takes place, and the people that inhabit it are usually the people that don't care about not getting other people sick. The ones that don't cover their mouths when hacking up a lung. Best advice: get in, get what you need, and get out. This place is always manned with security and some times polices officers...I assume because of a high crime rate. I never feel unsafe, but it's something to consider. Aside from this, it's a typical CVS, but could use some updates. read more

I attend this CVS often and usually have a good experience. The service is good, the store is clean, and they have security on-call for those late night visits. However, this past visit was a little disappointing. I ordered photos online so that I could pick up pictures on the way home from work. I was in a bit of a hurry and made a plan to grab the photos and get my prescription. When I ordered the photos, I got an email stating that they were processing, however when I got to the store about 45 minutes later, they didn't even know I sent pictures. The manager got them printed for me right when I came in... It just took longer than expected. The manager was excellent in assisting me, I just wish the photos were done when I arrived. I will say the manager was EXCELLENT in leading and customer service. The girl at the register was ringing up people a little slow and the manager stepped right in to help assist people to the self-check out kiosk. He did not make her feel bad he just politely stepped in. I was going to rate this CVS at 3-stars, but I give it 4 due to the managers quick response to my photo issues and stepping in to help the girl at the register, so that people were not waiting all day to be rang up. Also, I don't normally have issues at this CVS. They tend to do a great job. read more

Of course, CVS won't let you use their bathroom like they used to, so I had to go across the street to McDs. I got back and they had canceled my appointment 8 minutes after it was scheduled. I talked to the woman and she refused to treat me. There was NO ONE else waiting for her. There was NO ONE else checked in. She just sat on her rear and refused to treat me. I have 7 check-ins here, but I'm sure I've been in at least 15 times lol. When I first came to Indianapolis, this is one of the first places where I felt like I needed to remember its location. Open 24 hours. Has a pharmacy. Easy parking and easy access from Meridian and 16th street. Just the other day, I arrived at their entrance at 4:30am because my son was screaming his head off due to a faulty pacifier. Walked in (security guard on duty!!!), picked out 4 pacifiers (yes...4 of them), friendly cashier, exit. Easy peazy japanesey. Don't get me wrong, this CVS isn't located in the white picket fence neighborhood, but it is clean, efficient and the pharmacy runs pretty smoothly even with the huge volume of customers utilizing them. Also don't forget to sign up for a CVS card so you get that extra discount! Today I had to stop by to get diapers and wipes...and by using my cvs card, I got buy one, get one 50% off!!! read more

Well. They did it again. Yesterday we called in a refill prescription for our dog Ludwig. The automated phone system said the prescription would be ready 8pm last night. Today I went in at 4pm and they had no refill. Sent me to another desk and the woman there claimed the prescription was expired. WTH This was a brand new 6 refill prescription submitted only a couple of months ago. And again I leave the store empty handed. So we're done with CVS. Our dogs prescription is going to 1800 pet meds. There is only so much frustration I can take with this pharmacy that seems to be incapable of doing what a pharmacy does. Update: Later that evening I called the automated phone line and it said the prescription was ready for pickup. So I called to speak to the pharmacists. He said our dog had two profiles. And whoever was at the desk yesterday didn't know how to use the computer. So I went in today and was able to pick up the prescription that was filled 2 days ago. Yet they couldn't apologize for chastizing me that the prescription was expired (when it was not, they were looking at the wrong prescription). I'm still changing all our prescriptions. Mine will go to CVS mail order (who I never had a problem with) and the dogs will go to 800 pet meds. I'm so done with this pharmacy. They do not know how to provide customer service and only disrespect their customers. read more

This is specifically for the Heath Care Clinic. By far the worst immediate care experience I have ever had. I made an appointment for 1:30pm online for a minor injury. I waited until well after 2:15 before someone called me in. Once inside, I was told that I shouldn't have been able to request an appointment for an injury and I really should have gone to the ER or a primary care physician. First of all: I understand there are certain things you can't handle without scans/machines, but I wish I had been notified before waiting an hour that no one there could help me. Secondly: What is the point of making an appointment if you're going to wait 45+ mins?? read more

Slow but friendly service. I dislike using the pharmacy. Our dogs' prescriptions used to go here, and there were a couple of times that the DOB on the prescription didn't match what I told them and it was a hassle. I mean, it's for a dog and the one dog had an arbitrary DOB in any case. Picked up a prescription at a different CVS for one of our dogs and didn't need the DOB. The walk in clinic is really handy. Otherwise, it has the same selection as most other CVS locations. Decent enough and it's easy to find what you need. It's really convenient for me as I can walk there, but if I had to drive I'd probably go somewhere else. read more

This is the worst CVS I've ever been to. Took my son to the clinic there this morning (4/4/18) and he got a prescription for amoxicillin, the NP said she would send it over to the pharmacy to have it filled. That was 11am. I go back at 3pm and they have no prescription, "come back in 10-15 and we will have it filled" they tell me. Take my wife and 2 other kids back to our hotel. Come back, guess what? Still no record of our prescription ever being there. I caused a bit of a scene at the drive through saying I would wait there while they filled it. They said they would call the cops because it was a fire hazard. I said call the cops then. To get me out of the drive though they said they needed my insurance and I had to come in for that. BS. I just wanted away from this place, so I want in. They still never start d filling it until they had my insurance info (which my wife had given them at the clinic already). I don't know why the clinic and the pharmacy don't communicate well but good thing I don't have a CVS in my hometown because I'm now making it a point to avoid them. Get your crap together CVS! This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to nothing can compare to it! I been here several times to pick up my son medicine and each time the line would be so long at the drive through pick up lane it's completely ridiculous. Then when you actually get to the window your medicine ends up still not being ready. I always make sure to call first before heading that way to make sure the medicine is good and ready to pick up but when I get there the guy is asking me to drive around the parking lot just because it's not ready and their are other people behind me waiting. This place is so unprofessional I shouldn't have to move my car if it's my turn at the window.It's bad enough I waited 40 minutes in the line now your telling me to circle around the parking lot so other people can get their meds first and I have to wait even longer for them . Have a bit of a sinus infection so figured I'd try the Minute Clinic in CVS and do a looking around to see what they sold - it's been a bit since I've been in CVS. When I arrived it was lunch time for the NP but was going to be back in 15 minutes. To sign in you have to use a kiosk. The kiosk was very slow! Typing and the letters wouldn't show up until you were 10 characters past - lord help you if you made a mistake. I was seen about 45 minutes after my arrival. The NP was nice and quickly had me out the door. I used the CVS pharmacy for my rx. What is confusing is if you have to check in with a pharmacist or not - so I ended up waiting in line to double check, come to find out yes you do need to check in and let them know you are waiting. The gentleman who helped was very nice. Once done with that business I decided to take a look around. I was shocked by all the inventory CVS has on their shelves. It's really a everything market - dairy to booze! The beer/wine prices - I was impressed. Not very high for items on special. Hard liquor - pretty good selection. Wine - I was really impressed by the different labels available. There are also a ton of snacks and last minute items. There are also healthy options but who wants that when the booze is affordable! I came in at 7:50 for the Minute Clinic which was supposed to open at 8. There was one other person waiting. 8am came and went. At 8:20, the NP showed up and said "I'll be right with you" with zero apologies or explanations. First person was with her for 20 minutes. At 8:40, I was seen, and I mentioned "we thought you opened at 8"--not in a bitchy way, but not understanding how there was no explanation. She said to me, "Yeah well I'm not going to kill myself on the highway for your eye infection." Seriously?! I get it if you're having a bad day. I've had them too. I've gotten stuck in traffic and been late. Usually a simple, "I'm so sorry! Traffic was awful this morning!" will pretty much make things fine. It certainly would have in this case. This place is not good. It's a bummer walgreens closed their clinic across the street. I'll drive north before coming here again. read more

While in between insurance I went to the minute clinic for an ear infection, top notch nurse practitioner here, very professional, quick and thorough. My wait was about 20min, which went much faster than the given wait time on the registration computer. I didn't feel any threat or danger at this location but I'm no easy target so I don't get the attention a lone female might. I did see several ladies coming and going alone but none seemed scared, aware but not scared which is the best way to carry yourself. Overall, the store was clean, all three self check kiosk were functional and the staff was friendly. read more

Honestly the worst pharmacy I've had the displeasure of using. If my insurance allowed, I'd be at Walgreens in a heartbeat. I don't know if they just have a huge customer base or if the people working here don't know what they're doing.. Regardless, my prescriptions somehow get taken off auto refill and/or are never ready in time. They've lost prescriptions my doctors have called in and neglected to verify others on a timely basis. I think the worst part is they always misplace blame and never apologize for me having to come back multiple times to pick up the prescription they promised me earlier. Avoid if you can. If I could give the pharmacy ZERO stars, I would. I am always going round and round with them every time I go to refill my blood pressure meds (I swear, refilling my prescription makes my blood pressure the highest it is all month!). This last time, it took three in person visits, two phone calls, and my doctor sending in the prescription TWICE, and they still said they couldn't refill it because they lost the paperwork. They finally started to fill it while I'm waiting, but after 45 minutes, they were still not done. And I was the only one waiting. Finally I asked what was going on, and it turned out they'd misplaced my prescription form AGAIN, while I'm waiting there! Ffs, get your stuff together! I recommend avoiding this store at all costs. Transfer your prescriptions elsewhere, even to another CVS if you can. read more
