Forget the long lines - they can't control that. The issue is they are incapable of getting my prescriptions right. This is the second time now I've had major surgery and they didn't supply me with all my medications and now - the day of surgery - I'm having to wait in another insane line in San Francisco because they're incapable of fulfilling my prescriptions correctly. I've also had to go multiple times each time I've needed prescriptions because they didn't even have anything i needed. I've literally never in my life experienced a pharmacy being so inept. I mean you're dealing w sick and ailing people trying to heal. This isn't a joke. Take your jobs seriously. The pharmacist I last dealt with was incredibly rude. I got an automated call that my prescriptions would be ready for two days only. Well I went the second day in the afternoon and the pharmacist was reprimanding me saying - this is the second day and shaking his head. Treating me like a child. I have lived across the street from Vons in CVS for years and I've been into these stores. Many many many times. There is one employee at CVS that goes above and beyond his name is Philip and he is probably the most friendly employee there going out of his way to help me especially when I've been going in at ungodly hours. He was always very helpful and very kind. It was recently brought to my attention that one of the employees from Vons Melinda has an issue with Philip and continues to put him on blast in a very negative way. I am so upset about this. From now on when I go into Vons, I will find myself not going through her line. For her to find anything negative about her store experiences at CVS due to Philip is absolutely absurd. And from now on if I am tossed up about which store to go to for a certain item, I will definitely find myself going to CVS instead of Vons. After listening to the usual recording, I was asked to leave a message, and someone would call me back within an hour. I thought, 'Why not?' As far as i am concerned the CVS pharmacy in Montrose is a jewel in the crown of CVS drug stores. First of all they are open 24 hours! And what do you know is open 24 hours? When i asked if i needed a prescription filled at 3am, could this CVS fill it? i was told...yes...we are open 24 hours. You have to admit that this is special. Years ago many places were open 24 hours: restaurants, drug stores, grocery stores. Now it just doesn't happen. But yes it does here. So i have used the services here in Montrose for receiving my 3rd inoculation for COVID as well as for a flu shot. Of late this CVS unit has undergone a major refurb and it looks cool, calm and inviting. The pricing on most items is at the high end: as in regular grocery items, canned and bottle drinks and bagged snacks. But at least they are here when and if you get a craving for a nosh. Heretofore i have used the Pharmacy only and the service has been personal and informative. We are living in the midst of a Pandemic and all the information we can receive is helpful and needed. Whereas most of my prescriptions are filled at Costco, you have to admit that the big C is a trial to navigate. Here it is a lot less busy and the staff has a lot more time to attend to your wants and needs and more to the point...questions. I will without a doubt use this CVS as a second choice Pharmacy though my experiences here might indeed move it to the top. Worst experience. Prepaid for photos to wait 25 minutes in line because they only have one cashier to check people out to cashiers standing in the back having personal conversation and one cashier at self check out. By the time I get to the front and hand me my order I walk to the car and realize I'm missing eight poster size photos so when I walk back in, they never printed and they will Reset the printer right now but its about an hour to an hour and a half wait ...Return home come back three hours later only to find that briefly after I walked out of the store Their printer has frozen and no pictures are printing. They are not calling anybody to let them know people are just showing up and being told on the spot they are not giving any credit nor are they giving any apologies or estimated time of when the printer will be working again. I was just asking why I got a text that my pravastatin is only refillable in October when the last time they filled it was in April and she quickly blame it on m saying it's because I ordered it twice and I told her I don't know what she's talking about. I called to fill my prescription on 10/2/20, was told it will be ready on 10/3/20, went on 10/4/20 and they said they don't have their delivery yet. This is the second time it has happened. The pharmacy in the Montrose CVS is definitely super, & a cut above the rest (that includes private pharmacies). I used to get my medication from a private pharmacy in S. Pasadena, where I totally loved the staff & service, so when logistics made me change my pharmacy to a CVS system, I was not happy because I had bad experience with the CVS pharmacy on Chevy Chase. I was so lucky to choose this location, because their service is excellent!! There is a very positive vibe from the pharmacists to the staff, someone is creating magic there... Half the time when the doctor sends in a prescription they are "out of stock" and cannot even say when they will be receiving the medication. It takes you forever to get through their phone system, and when you finally do get someone, they either can't give you any information or put you on hold forever until you hang up. I never used to have any problems getting my medications here, and liked it for the 24 hour service, but this is 2 months in a row I am having this problem! read more

The pharmacist are available for questions and really try to help. They even offered ways to help me save a bit w my prescriptions. The other day I arrived and their was a line of about 20 people waiting for prescriptions. I was sure it was going to be a long wait. Right away they called for another customer service person to come help. And then they called for another one. I was helped working 5 mins. They were efficient without rushing. She acts as if you've ruined her day by getting into line,and God Forbid you ask her a question!!! The rudest pharmacy I've ever been too. In the span of being here for one pick up I watched three people storm away because of how rude everyone is. It's not just one pharmacist. Over half of them are rude. One lady tech picked up the phone was rude as fuck, said they will fill my script if I was physically there. Showed up and that didn't change much. Bitchy to say the least. Watch one pharmacist just walk away mid conversation from two different patients. One patient stormed off. The another asked for someone to help them because the same pharmacist just left them. They stood at the window alone for 20 minutes!! Being ignored!! Spoke to another tech was told they will call my name in ten when they fill me script. No one ever called me so it was over ten, eventually I went up to ask for help because I stood there like chump. Got it and there was very a large price difference versus what my original pharmacist (different location) told me and the lady was very dismissive and told me to talk to a pharmacist if I had an issue. She did not even direct me. Just was like bye bitch. Very confusing and I wander around to a different window, assuming someone will help me. Pharmacist did end up coming and she cleared up that it was cheaper for sure if I get the bulk. Got another pharmacist to take over and she just walked away... okaaayy?? Like nothing, not a single word to me, just told the pharmacist to fill it and walked away? Like were you guys raise in a swamp without people. Had to explain my whole situation again and check for bill price of filling it or month to month. Told the other pharmacist to handle it. Then the Original tech who picked up the call decides it's a great idea to scream out loud for me and ask why I changing for the full supply in front of everyone. What's wrong with this site. That's four problematic people that I've dealt with, took an hour when I was told it will take ten minutes. I should have noticed the low ratings as an issue. Never had an issue in my life with a pharmacist. Most people that know me know I don't particularly care since I've done my fair share of service industry work and it's thankless job. But goddamn why work with people who are ill if you hate people. One chick was dealing with pregnancy issues and asking for drugs...... and they. just. fucken. left. her.... They don't have an one person issue, they need to just throw the whole team out and into training again. I used the CVS pharmacy in Montrose rarely in the past. However, I've been getting some medications from them regularly for the last 3 months. I have never had an issue with them until 3/22/22 that I called them early in the morning. I was simply calling to ask for the status of my medications. It happened that I was actually talking to Annie Aslanian, the pharmacy manager. She explained that my insurance did not allow refill of 30 days of one of my medications. Instead, they were allowing for a refill of 90 days. As I was asking for more clarification, I heard she was also saying the insurance did not allow "refund" ... when I asked her what she meant by "refund", all of a sudden, her tone changed and she said that she didn't say "refund". I told her to change her tone, but she continued talking to me with the same tone. Then, I told her that her tone was so aggressive. Instead of apologizing or at least changing her tone, she talked back to me and said that I was being aggressive to her. When I asked her to provide her last name, she refused. I told her that I need to talk to her manager. In a much more aggressive tone, she said that she was the pharmacy manager. Then, I asked to talk to her superior, she said that if I had any problems, I could go to the pharmacy and talk to her. I have never seen such an unprofessional behavior in a pharmacy. It is worth to mention that if the pharmacy manger allows her to talk aggressively, she sets the tone for the other staff working at the pharmacy ... Right after my call with Annie, I went to the store to talk to the store manager. I was informed that he would be in the store in about an hour. Before leaving, I went to the pharmacy and told Annie that I was the patient talking to her on the phone a few minutes ago and the fact that she was talking with a very aggressive tone and she was the manager of the pharmacy was just SHAMEFUL. I informed her that I would talk to Don about her aggressive tone over the phone with me. However, she felt extremely confident and started to waive the back of her hand to me meaning to go away ... After coming back home, as I was waiting to call the store manager, I called CVS customer relations at 800-746-7287 and reported the incident to Alex, a nice representative. He informed me that the district leader would call me within 48 hours ... Later, when I got the chance to talk to Don, the store manager, he said that he would talk to her and that her behavior is not a reflection of his store. I also talked to the district leader, Steve ... Both Don and Steve accepted that Annie's behavior was unprofessional and apologized for the incident. However, I mentioned to both of them, Montrose is a nice community and we do not need people like Annie with aggressive attitude ... I am writing this review today because I saw similar reviews about Annie's unprofessional behavior at the CVS pharmacy in Montrose in the past. If despite previous reviews about her unprofessionalism, she still continues to stay arrogant and talk to patients in an unpleasant way, I can understand now why she felt extremely confident on 03/22/22 and ok with the fact that I was going to talk to Don about my incident with her over the phone ... Thus, I am directing this review to Don, the store manager, and Steve, the district leader, that until a CONSTRUCIVE ACTION is not taken about Annie Aslanian's unprofessional behavior, more patients will be the target of her unpleasant and aggressive tone and they both will be the responsible parties because all they did was to apologize for the incident in my case so far ... Review for the pharmacy staff. Just a miserable, stupid and lazy bunch. Went to the prescription drop off and was told it was not needed, and to just go to the pick up area and pay. Once there, I'm told to go back to prescriptions, because it's needed. I go back to drop off the script only to be told the same, again. Someone else finally intervenes, checks, and says a prescription is not needed. However, the item is not in stock. Offers to order the item, and informs me that it would be available the next day. Go in the next day and I'm told it was never ordered. I drive out of the way now to avoid these savages. read more

This review is for the Pharmacy department ONLY. I went in to pick up my prescription and the lady at the counter was rude and seemed already annoyed with me before I even spoke. Once I gave her my information and gave her my insurance card, she told me I needed my prescription card instead (I have never had to do this before. My insurance card has always been enough). So I went home and got my prescription card and then when I returned she told me that the card was "declined" by my insurance. I asked her to call the prescription line for my insurance because I had just used the day prior and there were no issues. She told me she cant and that I need to call myself and figure it out with them. I then called my insurance company and they told me that the pharmacy itself has to call to verify the prescription. I called the pharmacy back and the lady who answered was nice until I told her they need to call my insurance directly, and then she sounded irritated. I could have sworn it was their job to assist guests with insurance/prescription issues. Silly me! Any other pharmacy I have gone to has always offered to call for any insurance or medication questions. I will not be coming back to this pharmacy to fill my prescriptions ever again.
