This morning, I proactively called the store to confirm if I could bring my children in for passport photos. Wanting to be mindful of the staff's workload, I asked what time would be most convenient. The employee I spoke with confirmed that the passport photo department was open until 9:00 PM and agreed that arriving between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM was perfectly fine. When I arrived with my children during that agreed-upon window, the experience was significantly different: *Wait Time: We were made to wait for several minutes before being acknowledged. *Refusal of Service: When the employee in charge of photos finally approached, she abruptly stated, "I don't do passport photos." with no other context. I had to probe to find out why and she just stated that she doesn't not do passports past 6pm. *Contradictory Policy: When I explained my morning phone call she was incredibly rude - accusing me of lying and online says passport photo is open until 9pm. As a customer, I did my due diligence by calling ahead to avoid any inconvenience. Being turned away - especially after being told "See you then" by your staff - is unacceptable, as was the dismissive attitude I received upon arrival.

We have been periodic customers of this Walgreens for sometime. This year, we've had some negative…read moreexperiences. In recent months, they have not been able to fill time sensitive family prescriptions more than once. They haven't told us what other area Walgreens can timely fill the prescriptions. Once, that led me to call three different Walgreens and none of them had the medication. I then called a nearby CVS, and they had the medication. It's not a great customer experience to call a bunch of Walgreens. This seems like a solvable computer system issue. My wife recently requested that other time sensitive prescriptions be sent to this Walgreens. The provider said that they would immediately send the prescription. When I reached the front of the Walgreens line about 25 minutes after we left the provider, I was told that they hadn't received the prescriptions. I was prepared for this answer, because I've heard this particular Walgreens say this on multiple prior occasions. I normally don't press, but I explained the time sensitivity on this occasion and the fact that the provider indicated they were sending the prescription immediately. Walgreens said they couldn't do anything because they didn't have the prescription. Since they were clearly not going to call the provider, I called the provider from the pharmacy area. The provider confirmed, as I believed, that they had submitted the prescriptions through the system and suggested the pharmacy was making a mistake on their end. The person who originally helped me said she could still not find the prescription. I stated they needed to do something more under the circumstances. A second person then started communicating with me. She said they couldn't fill a prescription that they didn't have, and she told me to "Have a nice day", but she did so in a tone to make clear that she meant something else. At this point, I had decided that we would move the prescriptions to the CVS I had previously used. But our provider's office asked for an opportunity to talk with the Walgreen's pharmacist since their system showed that Walgreens should have the prescriptions. The provider called back in a few minutes. She was able to talk to a different pharmacist at that Walgreens, who confirmed that the prescriptions were in the system and the person who helped me hadn't looked in the right place. I certainly understand mistakes like that can happen. What I don't understand, is why employees would choose to disbelieve a customer who is telling them that such a mistake is being made and then rudely and vocally decide to do nothing about it. When I returned to Walgreens, a pharmacist I hadn't spoken to was apologetic and helpful. The original employee I spoke with also apologized. I didn't see the employee who told me to "HAVE A NICE DAY!" That was probably for the best. Two Stars based upon these recent experiences.

I went to the Hartford Walgreens for a covid test. I scheduled my test for 4:00 o'clock on their…read morewebsite. The test is done through their drive-through. First, the intersection to get to this Walgreens is just awful, I know it's not the store's fault. But traffic is awful here if it's around after work hours. I pulled to the drive through and made it to the window just a few minutes before my scheduled time. I told the pharmacist I came for my scheduled covid test. Well guess what? He just walked away from the window. Not ok. I figured he just went to get my test. Well I waited and waited at the window without anyone saying anything to me about why I'm waiting. I waited for 20 long minutes. I'm sorry to all the cars behind me. Finally he came back with my test, I got no explanation or an apology for waiting this long at the window. Maybe the pharmacist is new, and doesn't know how to do things, maybe they're just not organized, I'm not sure what the problem is, but this is unacceptable. I will not go to this location again, there are plenty of Walgreens that know how to do their job and communicate with customers.

He and his staff knew every regular customer by name and service was always great and personal. Fast forward about 70 years and both of us have used numerous pharmacies over the years. The people and the service at this Stop 'n' Shop are as close as we've come to that old neighborhood pharmacy experience. Everyone at this pharmacy is always personable, pleasant and very helpful.

My grandmother visited this pharmacy for decades and when she passed this last Spring, the pharmacist expressed his genuine condolences to my family. I have never had even the slightest problem getting a prescription filled for my spouse (or my cat), except for delays by my insurance provider. The pharmacists are always on top of any vaccine requirements as well. I was formerly with another well known pharmacy firm that begins with C, who often dispensed the wrong meds (with another person's name on the vial), or was out of the required medications or dispensed meds with the wrong dosage. The pharmacy at the Newington Walmart has never made any error at all.

We were looking to buy some children's socks and underwear today for a convention activity where our attendees will be building 100 school supply and 50 socks and underwear kits for Boston children in need. Target had some fantastic prices today, and we picked up a six pack of boys crew socks for just $10. I've got no complaints at all about Target. Parking is plentiful, the store's selection is very wide, and it was a pleasant experience to pick up what we needed at a very good price.

Today, I was assisted by an older gentleman working as a cashier; he spoke to me rudely, essentially telling me--in a very unprofessional manner--to place my items on the counter so he could ring them up, even though that is *his* job. He did the exact same thing to my mother; when he checked her out, he was incredibly rude and racist. He didn't hand her the receipt or her membership card directly; instead, he just left them sitting on the counter for her to pick up herself. They need to hire people who actually enjoy working--not elderly individuals who are rude and inconsiderate.

I brought it up to management and customer service and they were nonchalant. Their response was well any items lost will be kept into a lock box and brough to customer service. I left my info tracked my phone which says its located in the vision/hearing center. In that location is the pharmacy, which has been closed for quite some time...My phone is suddenly turned off therefore tracking has been limited. No calls to date from the store. I followed up no luck. Anyways it was an expense for me to have my phone replaced. My opinion, I feel that management should at least assist by reviewing their cameras. I have been shopping there for over 5 years with an executive membership that that pulls in over three hundred annually...You know I really shop there and online... While waiting on the rotisserie line yesterday, to overhear a person saying her phone was stolen from her shopping cart... Same experience as me.
