For the last 3 days I have not been able to get a response of any kind other than a recording saying my prescription has not yet been filled. I tried "option 4" to speak with someone in the pharmacy and was on hold for 20 minutes the first time then 10 minutes when I tried again hours later. What a waste of time. I am fortunate that this medication isn't critical but I AM on it for a reason. I will be contacting someone higher up in the CVS corporation and will be changing pharmacies immediately. read more

I think the straw just broke the camel's back with this place. I've had some nice friendly interactions with a specific employee (M) but other than that every conversation is lacking the critical information to actually get things done. Example: Before going out of town I contacted CVS Pharmacy and asked them to hold my prescriptions so the prescriptions would not be filled while I was away, but they did it anyway. When I returned and asked why they didn't hold it as I had asked I was told that they can't hold prescriptions that are marked for autofill. So why not tell me that when I asked before??? That's one of other issues that have taken place over the past few months. But today I hit my limit. On Thursday I submitted a request for a prescription to be refilled that would need to go to a new doctor and provided them with the doctor's name, phone, and fax. On Monday I discovered that the CVS Pharmacy was was out of that particular prescription drug and had to order it. And why did they wait til Monday to order it instead of ordering it on Thursday so they would have it in stock when it was needed? I expect there is a "CVC procedure" reason but it doesn't lend it towards providing good customer service. It means I am waiting all afternoon for (M) to did through the boxes and see if my drug turns up in the delivery. If not, I will go to a CVS in another town. Regardless, I will begin the process of trying a different pharmacy. read more

Must give credit where credit is due. I'm not sure what all has changed here, but the long lines are gone. The response time on prescriptions is WAY up. Had a very bad experience with Tammy today, she was very rude. We still have to wear masks in the store, when I gave my name she said "I can't hear you" , then when I received 2 prescriptions I asked what they were and she said I don't know and put them up to my face. She also looked me up and down before she helped me. This person needs human resource training to treat customers with respect. read more

This place deserves negative stars, it's one of the worst. I don't know what it is about this place but I think their hiring process is different than anywhere else. You HAVE TO be rude and incompetent before you're hired or they will train you that way. I always wait at least 10 minutes in the drive thru before anyone will even come to the window. They never have their act together. They are always rude and slow. This last time they filled the wrong MG of my medicine and refused to give me the right meds unless I brought the other ones back. I'm sorry but if I get sick from the other medicine I need proof. I'm not relying on their "print-outs". They told me its my responsibility to check the medicine before I take it. What idiots. I give up! I'm now looking for another pharmacy even though CVS is near my home and has a drive-up window, it isn't worth the frustration. First, CVS does not consistently set up automatic refills for prescriptions when asked. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. And, CVS does not consistently ask doctors to renew prescriptions when they are about to run out of refills. Again, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. In addition, I am disabled and can't open child-proof caps, yet they insist on giving me prescriptions with child-proof caps. Save yourself the frustration. Choose a different pharmacy. read more

Had to contact this pharmacy several times today. So frustrating. Each time I spoke to a different person got Different information or asked same questions by different people. Questions that had already been answered. They do not give you time to respond before they put you on hold. Was very explicit about the pain medication I needed when I first called this morning. Norco brand vs Lortab. Told pharmacy this morning that I specifically wanted Norco brand or generic for Norco. Only changed to the CVS in Nipomo because that is what they gave me last time. So after waiting all effing day finally told prescription ready but had to pay out of pocket because apparently I'm not allowed more than a certain number of pills per month by my insurance even though I only had been given two weeks worth okay fine will pay Cash I need the pain relief . So drove up there got my medication drove home open the package and found it was not Norco. Call pharmacy to tell them that I needed to change to Norco not Lortab. Lortab does not work The same for me. I've had both!!! I know the difference. Receptionist is an idiot and told me that they are the same drug. They are the same five times. I told her I understand what you're saying but they do not work the same on me. Lortab does not relieve my pain. I need the Norco brand or generic for Norco. Her dumbass response they are the same 5 times and " is there anything else I can help you with?" Hung up before I screamed. Slow poorly trained staff. Liked the pretty pharmacist that I talked to for 30 seconds about anti inflammatory med. Probably would've had better result if I had been able to talk to her about the Norco instead of inept multi colored hair chick. . Med was called in by dr. Day before. Finally got Medication I didn't want at 4 PM the following day so frustrated. read more

My wife and I are traveling to Hawaii today. We went to the Nipomo CVS to get the required covid test. A guy named Silas entered our info into the computer. My wife and I were in the same vehicle, and when he gave us our individual bags with the test kit, mine had my wife's and she had mine. Silas watched and told us to switch. We did the required test and dropped the specimens in the labcorp box as directed. Today we called to get results and Labcorp told us there was a name discrepancy and only the person who gave us the test kits could fix it if he called labcorp. We were able to get Silas on the phone, but he refused to make the call, saying he didn't want his name attached to the mistake. I tried to get a supervisor but was told I could only speak to a shift lead. I spoke to get and she was very frustrated with Silas. The result of this mistake, is that we will land in Maui and not have test results. This will cost us significant expense. CVS can make this right by having a supervisor get involved and fixing their agents mistake. read more

The staff at this CVS Pharmacy are top notch. The are caring and knowledgeable. They do their best to provide quality service to all their customers and often times put up with alot of abuse from unhappy, sick patients who were let down by either their doctor or insurance. They understand the frustrations of the patients and do their best to help when they are able...evn when it is not their mess up. Thank you to all their staff for all their hard work...especially when we as patients are in pain and not very patient. My only complaint is with the call in refill system and the computer issues that happen on occassion. read more

This CVS I has the worst pharmacy in the California chain. I'm a heart patient and need certain medications to maintain life. I call in what I need and it takes at least 3 days and sometimes more to receive a 90 day supply. The automated telephone line says it's ready then when I go to pick it up they can't find it!!! This happens more often than not. I'm totally frustrated with this poorly ran CVS pharmacy and talking to corporate. If others have the same issue please do the same. read more

CVS Pharmacy in Nipomo used to be super efficient and always had my prescriptions done on time. They even used to text me when they were ready. Now I have to go in to check to see if they are ready. They tell me they are busy and they have the prescription but they will now get it ready in two hours since I came in to get it. So I have to make three visits unless I want to wait: one to drop it off, two to ask them to get it ready and three to pick it up. WTF? If my doctor calls it in, I have to check with my doctor to see if it was sent and then go in to tell them I want it and then go back to pick it up after they get around to filling it. The lines are long with often 10 people waiting to be served only to get to the cashier and find out the prescription is not prepared. Yesterday I saw people waiting and heard someone telling three people to go home. They needed those people to serve but chose to send them home-no idea why common sense didn't let them stay long enough to provide decent customer service. CVS is going to lose my business as soon as I figure out a way to use another pharmacy for my prescription service. I'm fed up with the long lines and lousy service. read more

Wish I could say something positive about this Pharmacy, but NOPE. It seems like you have to trick them to be able to get on the phone with someone. I have stopped waiting on hold as a customer because it is virtually impossible to get them to answer. So now when I call, I just select the "prescriber" option in the automated system. This is the only way to actually get somebody to answer the phone! Even my doctor's office told me to switch pharmacies, because of all the complaints that they have heard, about people not getting medications on time. I would not be surprised if CVS gets hit with a wrongful death lawsuit, for withholding people's medication or not refilling it on time. I don't know what happened here, but it's absolute chaos EVERY SINGLE TIME I go in, with long lines, pharmacists will give you attitude like you are inconveniencing them because you actually want to get your medication on time... INSANE! It's definitely time to switch to a different Pharmacy! This place is getting worse by the minute. Their app tells you your prescription is ready, you get there, wait 20 minutes, and then they tel you it's being filled and will be ready in two hours. This happened to me last night, I came back today and they still only had 3 of 6 that were due to be filled. I had to wait for a must-have prescription to be filled ASAP. You keep hearing the robot voice telling them how many people are waiting on the phone. It got up to 12 while I was there so calling ahead won't even work. I am now up to 1.5 hours waiting and have 60% of my prescriptions. BTW, still waiting on that call back from customer service. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Very poor customer service with the pharmacy. Called to see when my prescription could be picked up because I needed it within 2 days and they said it was on back order. I was told that I could call other pharmacies to see if they had my medication and if they could transfer it to Nipomo cvs. I asked the woman, isn't that what you should be doing? Her answer was that often times they may do that for a courtesy but they were short handed and no one had time to make the calls. I was then told that I could transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy if I wanted. During the phone call we both had pleasant exchanges, but I hung up dumbfounded. All I can say is WOW!! I do not have confidence in their company and plan to look elsewhere to spend my money. I moved here a few months ago and decided to use CVS in Nipomo for my local pharmacy. My first appointments with local doctors wouldn't be until the first of the new year. I continued using my former doctors in L.A county and had no issues filling prescriptions until yesterday. After a long holiday week, I returned with my same written prescription as before and was informed they couldn't fill it without contacting the doctors office. And get this, I wasn't using a LOCAL doctor. Same doctor, same prescription but NEW RULES that we'r not POSTED! I guess only LOCAL doctors scripts are okay for this ridiculous pharmacy. HEY HERES AN IDEA CVS , CONTACT YOUR CUSTOMER AND THEM GIVE THEM A LIST OF ACCEPTABLE LOCAL DOCTORS. AND POST YOUR RULES AS THEY ARE CREATED OR WAS THIS JUST A LAZY STAFF THIS PHARMACY SEEMS TO HIRE. Medication is all over the floor and on counter tops waiting for pick up and fills. Wait times are insane. Staff doesn't greet you. Horrible pharmacy. read more

The management gets worse every time I go here. the manager made me feel like a criminal for returning a item without a receipt. I had to call corporate and they told me the manager had made up a policy aboit givong 25% of the value when returned without a reciept. On the phone they were able to look up my card and prove my purchase and gave me credit to my card. However when the district manager stephanie called me she stood behind what the store had saif and not their actual company policy of 100% satisfaction gaurantee for beauty products and gift cards issued for non reciepted refunds. I am going to avoid this store at all costs. I would rather drive yo the next town to get my essentials than deal with these disrespectful individuals who make their own rules. read more

Waited 6 days for a refill, still not filled, no answer when calling. Call a nearby CVS, was told the staff walked out a while back and they have no help. Major problem!! Transferred all my moms meds out to a nearby CVS. Had them filled within 2 hours of requesting transfer. read more

After one week of my physician failing to send a refill prescription, CVS helped by sending several fax requests. Upon finally receiving the renewed prescription, my doctors office messed up the insurance billing information. It was a Friday evening and I was now out of the medication so my option was to pay $150 or wait until Monday. I found a discounted coupon on-line and showed the pharmacist who said, "let me see if we can do better". Sure enough, he found one for $13.22 which is less than my co-pay had my insurance been properly coded by my Doc. I have not been a supporter of CVS in the past but was overwhelmed with the amount of care displayed on this visit. Both the counter clerk and the pharmacist were outstanding. read more

I do not recommend this pharmacy. I attempted to fill my prescription over 10 times. I was told they would request the refill. What they finally told me was my prescription was denied as I haven't been seen in over 6 months (didn't know that was the doc's policy, very different than my previous doc, so that's another issue). Why didn't they call? Or even easier tell me one of the times I called them? It is unfortunate that businesses have such little regard for a patient's health. I haven't had much faith in medical "professionals" for quite awhile and they continue to disappoint. read more

I'm the last customer here waiting. They just blew me off and turned out the lights. They were more concerned with closing than helping the last customer with a 2 minute transaction. Worst pharmacy ever! Was prescribed amoxicillin on Tuesday afternoon and went to go pick it up about 30 minutes later. Was told that it would be a 20-25 minute wait. Since I live nearby, I opted to not wait. Got a phone call about three hours later saying that they didn't have enough of THE most commonly prescribed antibiotic IN THE WORLD to fill my order. They said that it was almost past the cutoff time to order more for the next day and said they'd call me when it was ready and would expedite my order. Not quite sure how they didn't figure out that they were short after the 25 minutes I was originally told. So glad I didn't wait! Wednesday came and went, no call. Thursday I still didn't receive a call but figured it shouldn't take two whole days to fill a very common prescription especially since it was expedited on two days prior. I was wrong. I was told that they were very behind and it would be a two hour wait at least. I asked for my order to be transferred to a different pharmacy and was told to go to the "Drop Off" window. At the drop off window I was told that I had to call another pharmacy and have them call to get the order transferred. Almost every time I've been to this pharmacy, there has been a huge line. read more

Steven the shift supervisor is RUDE, I work at a place with over 2,000 employees a 1/4 live in Nipomo. I am telling everyone to never come here. I will also make sure to let everyone know what a jerk Steve is. He doesn't know how to talk to people at all, trying to talk down to people that are younger than he is just a bad person. He was just being rude because I tried to return an item that my Grandma had ordered! He made me call corporate, when I called corporate they said he was the one that should have been calling NOT me and when I went back into the store to tell him, he snatched the stuff all mad and walked to the back. I have worked in coustumer service for years and he is disrespectful and doesn't deserve to be working in a work place that deals with people. read more

I recently moved away and I miss this CVS. The pharmacy has always been wonderful . Fast and they go above and beyond . My insurance was denying the medicine I was prescribed they found alternatives that were equally as helpful. We miss you CVS in Nipomo. read more
