Actually very pissed off. Waited for a whole hour asking every single godamn employee to get a bike…read moredown from the top rack but all somehow "didn't work in that department". Worst experience at a walmart ever, had to order it online where it was even more expensive. Embarrassing, get your shit together.

I was extremely unhappy and frustrated with this Walmart as it relates to their photo center…read moreservice. I've used it before and while the system has a very clunky interface, it generally yielded pretty good pictures for gifts or personal use. Last night (11/4/25) I went there with the express purpose of getting 2 8x10 pictures printed. I utilized the instant kiosk and was informed (by the system) that it wasn't working so, I used the one hour service. I selected the images, uploaded them to the system, and placed the order. I waited around for over an hour and got no notice (text as was what I would have expected) that the order was completed. I returned to the register and was informed that the system wasn't working. Here's a bizarre idea, PUT UP A FREAKING SIGN!!!!. It would have cost Walmart a single sheet of paper, 1/4 inch of scotch tape and crayon to produce a sign that simply said the system was not operational. I left upset that I blew that much time for no reason. The following day I attempted to call to ask them if it would be possible to put a sign so that others were not subjected to the frustration that I had experienced. I tried three times to call and ask for a manager. The operator never picked up the phone. I guess the notion of "customer service" is a myth with this store. I drove back that morning (20 minutes) to lodge the complaint in person. No manager was available so i spoke with someone at the "customer service" counter. With no satisfaction. Very frustrated and angry. I won't be back...

I received excellent customer service today (11/15 at 10:30…read moream) at this State Street, Schenectady CVS. The item I called about the night before was indeed held for me behind the counter. I was pleased since it is an hard to find gingerbread decorating kit. I checked out with several items. The cashier/employee was helpful, patient, knowledgeable about store products. She even brought me a shopping cart when I asked. I did not bring my own bags, so she gave me two of the weak paper bags provided by CVS. One of them ripped (no fault of hers) as I was exciting the store. The cashier flew over, with a new bag, and picked the items off floor. I appreciated the concern on her part and her assistance. I wish I had gotten her name because she deserves recognition. The store was clean and neat. It was a pleasure to shop here rather than my regular Niskayuna CVS with the sometimes rude pharmacy team.

We occasionally patronize this CVS when the one closer to home is out of some prescription or other…read morethe kids need, and my experiences here have been pretty much identical every time: (1) I get very prompt and courteous service from the pharmacy staff when I go up to the counter to drop off the Rx. (2) They get distracted by the drive-in pharmacy window because they're understaffed and as is the case with every place everywhere with a drive-thru, the drive-thru customers somehow get priority over the ones who have managed to walk in. (3) Nevertheless the staff do their best and I'm pleased, if a bit delayed, by the pharmacy service. I get a chance to count the stains on the carpet in the waiting area, which is always a good time. (4) I am accosted by somebody leaving (or going in; or both) in the parking lot. You can definitely call this a mixed experience. I think my takeaway here is to use the drive-thru service to avoid (2) and (4). You might consider doing the same.

I've had to jump back in my car because they were blocking the door and there is no security in cvs. It is so filthy outside. Customer service is just ok. This pharmacy refused to refill my thyroid medication because they thought I should be taking a…read moreDIFFERENT thyroid medication. I had previously filled the scrip at this pharmacy. When I went to get it refilled, they tried to make me change the scrip. The doctor's office contacted them and told them to fill as ordered. They said it would be in in a couple of days. Then they told my son they could not get that medication at all. I'm pretty sure they didn't notify him of that until he called and specifically asked after he waited a couple of days as they said. Oddly they had it 30 days previously when I first filled it at that location. Other locations can still get it. The upshot is that by the time I wrested the scrip away from CVS and got it filled elsewhere with no problem - which I have been doing for over 30 years on a regular basis at a wide variety of pharmacies all over the country - I had been out of my thyroid medication for 10 days. Also please note, it is SPECIFICALLY illegal for a pharmacy to substitute one thyroid med for another, even if the only difference is the brand - and this was not JUST a brand difference. They wanted to switch me to a thyroid med that had a totally different formulation and would NOT have treated my condition adequately. And one, I might add, that I had been tried on before and was dropped because it was not adequate to treat my condition. But of course the pharmacist who did this is not a doctor and does not have access to my medical records which is why HE/SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE TRIED TO FORCE A CHANGE IN MEDICATION. The fact that they tried to slide this through the backdoor by trying to get me to get my doctor to change the med doesn't make it any better than a flat-out substitution. Then they lied about availability. This caused me to have an Addisonian relapse. Addison's disease is a very serious condition. An Addisonian crisis can be deadly. Its almost 2 months later now and I STILL have not recovered. When thyroid goes low it pulls cortisol low, which leads to an Addisonian flare-up or relapse or whatever you want to call it, which can then lead to full-on crisis. And I am not out of the woods yet on this. Whoever ordered this over there is a complete jackass. You don't muck around with people's meds. Pharmacists are NOT DOCTORS. YOU do not decide what medicines I should be taking. You know NOTHING about my health other than via whatever meds I fill there, and then you are assuming that I never fill any of my scrips anywhere else. I can guarandamntee you, I will never again fill a scrip at this or ANY OTHER CVS. And since I had been getting my hydrocortisone there for the Addison's, if the pharmacist responsible for this travesty had bothered to check, or if he WERE actually a Real Doctor and specifically an Endocrinologist, he would have known mucking around with my thyroid meds is dangerous. But whoever did this is NOT a real doctor, let alone an endocrinologist, so they endangered my health solely for the sake of their ego. I will reiterate - pharmacists are NOT DOCTORS. I don't give a tinker's damn what the medication du jour is - or whatever your markup is higher on. I'm on a very rigid schedule of medications because I have a complicated interaction between the Addison's and the hypothyroid condition plus T2 diabetes, and the first 2 of those are autoimmune related. You don't screw with my medication for any reason. So bite me, CVS pharmacist. You should be glad I'm not telling you this to your face, you colossal jackass and incompetent moron. You are practicing medicine without a license. But you haven't managed to kill me yet through your incompetence and ego, and you won't get another chance.

We've been here every now and again for years and have yet to have any negative experience. However, I had photo prints made there this week. The quality was so poor, they were unacceptable. Blurred, poor color, and weird positioning were evident in the CVS same day photo prints. They were unacceptable. How do I know it was their printing process and not my skills as a photographer? I had the same prints made by Printique Photo this week, and they are outstanding in color and clarity. Their prints look amazing. Their prices were similar for outstanding prints that I will be proud to frame and share with family. I will never use CVS photo printing ever again. Please check out the Yelp review of Printique I posted today, if interested.
