We had a very bad experience with previous CVS pharmacy on El Norte Pkwy. We needed important medication for all family members, and for previous cvs it took 1 week to ordered that. But not everyone got it. So we decided to try another CVS AND THANKS God we did !!! I went into use my OTC money....I asked how to find the items that were OTC....The items are supposed to have OTC on the label by the product...I went through and didn't see that label...the even have an announcement that encourages you to use your OTC benefits.......things need to be labeled more clearly....I will need to go to another store next time!!Thank you Edith for trying to help me....appreciate it...but better labels need to be posted!!! read more

Strange behavior from manager Louis here, I went in to buy a lottery ticket and he basically chased me out the door like I was stealing or something. Insisting I come back inside and saying things under his breath. Last time I'm coming here. As far as the store goes, everything is overpriced, they don't have a dedicated cashier (often have to find someone somewhere else in the store) and staff needs more training in general. My wife needed a prescription inhaler and Walmart had it on back order after two days we went to the CVS in San Marcos and Marianne was helpful like she is to all customers and checked around and found Target in Escondido had it in their pharmacy and made arrangements for us to pick it up there including the name of the person to see. I have been using them for over 10 years and get great service every time. read more

Accessibility: this store has accessible parking right up front, on the front left and right side of the store, then plenty more parking in the lot. The lot is never full. There is a ramp to get up to the sidewalk and going into the store there are motion activated doors. AC inside and regular carts available. They used to have motorized carts but I'm not sure if they still do. The store inside is very spacious with wide isles and a self check out if you don't want to go check out at the counter with an employee. Experience: the employees here are always nice, they always have good deals on things you need, there is a pharmacy and two self check-out registers. I love this CVS. read more

This is a rating specifically for the pharmacy . Amazing service . They actually care . I have had conversations with at least 4 different people on different occasions . All were on top of it . Mary Ann is of course amazing and responsive . I have a number of prescriptions where dosages change , new and existing . I do use the app as well but there are gaps and frankly if I am going to drive down there and I don't get the text confirmation for every prescription I will call and , get this , they pick up ! Confirm and then drive down there . I asked once if there was a better tasting powder and they gave me one and asked for feedback . This is the best CVS I have ever had . Frankly , the best pharmacy . I hesitate to tell everyone especially because the one at 318 w El norte is soooo bad and I am afraid everyone will go to this one . read more

This pharmacy is terrible. They get my prescriptions mixed up, except the 2 that are quite expensive. Their phone message continually asks about Covid tests and vaccinations for various maladies without transferring you easily. To be honest, I have second thoughts about baring my skin for a needle there. It's doesn't look very clean and, as much as I'd like to do business with them, I'm considering another pharmacy. read more

Wow! I had such a bad experience tonight. I went in to pick up my refill prescription, and I asked for a flu shot. The cashier sent me to the drop off prescription booth. Another person looked my info up, and they told me to go sit and wait. 10 minutes passed by, and I overheard the pharmacist ask my first cashier what I was waiting for. The cashier asked me what I was waiting for across the pharmacy area (confidentiality breech?). I told her a flu shot. I received no update of how long I needed to wait for more, nor any acknowledgement. I gave them 5 more minutes, and I walked away with my toddler in tow. I did not have all night to wait on people who do not give me any updates, any apologies, nor even acknowledgement. I paid for an item at the front register before leaving, and I asked that cashier if there was anyone there I could file a complaint with regarding the pharmacy. He couldn't tell me. He handed me a ripped up receipt, and I asked him why he ripped it up. He couldn't tell me, and I let him know that I would Yelp about that too. I will be looking into prescriptions by mail from now on. read more

The staff at this CVS location are THE BEST! Each are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, making the experience easy and stress free. My last pharmacy (Nordahl Costco) was a nightmare... regularly out of medications, late to fill, no pharmacist in the middle of a Saturday, and some of the most unfriendly staff I've dealt with. Seems no one really 'likes' to work there?! Never a phone call to alert when they couldn't fill something (after I made the trip and then stood in a long line) only to be topped off by an employee with attitude who obviously didn't give a rat's behind that I was inconvenienced! Dude, I know it's allergy season because the Santa Anas are blowing in, but can you have more than 4 bottles of different allergy medicine on your shelf? The shelves were empty and disorganized. It practically resembled Target the day after Thanksgiving. And, can the pharmacy tech stop chatting for a second to see the line is building up? I was standing on line for 7 minutes when all I needed to do was look at medication that was behind the counter, to see if I could take it. Nope, I couldn't. I just wasted at least 15 minutes and didn't get what I needed. Yeah, I'm congested and now I'm cranky. Thanks CVS. read more

Scheduled flu shot for myself and my 5 year old, and on the website it says they give flu shots for her age group. Went at our scheduled time, then waited 45 mins, only to have the pharmacist tell me she doesn't give flu shots for someone my daughter's age. I understand if you are uncomfortable with that, but wish I would've known this before scheduling, walking in, and waiting a long time. Also in general, it should be cleaner in there. 45 mins is a long time with a 5 yr old hanging out in a somewhat dirty pharmacy area. read more

He even took to the time to come and apologize for the mix up when I was checking out. There is a young guy who is there every time I checkout and he is really sweet. We love CVS. My husband says they have an outstanding cashew selection and their CVS fiber gummies are the sh*t :) We visit any given CVS on a weekly basis, if not more, and had a horrible experience tonight at this specific location. The staff was not friendly coming in and there's an older Asian gentleman who didn't even greet us or look us in the eyes at the register. Just overall rudeness for paying customers who were trying to exit the store ASAP because we felt like we were preventing the staff from going home. We officially paid and walked out at 10pm on the dot. The doors were already locked so we had to wait for someone to come open it back up. Why say you're open until 10pm if you're trying to shoo people away at 9:50? Some from the staff made it a point to ask us twice if we needed help, not for any other reason other than to explain "because we're about to close in 5 minutes." I know it's Friday and you want to leave but we just needed to use the ATM and grab some snacks. My apologies. We arrived at 9:50 and had no idea what time it was. Our fault for not looking at the signs. Horrible service. read more

I think tonight was not a freakin good night to speak with customer service at the main cash register. She was snappy and had a bad attitude at about time: 5:45 pm today. She normally talks and is friendly but somebody or something must have pissed her off on my bad day I was having, which made it worse. I never received a situation like that never at that place until today. I normally have a great experience there but not today. Maybe it was the new girl she was training. When I had my covid vaccine, I asked the technician administering it, to please aspirate; her name is Evelyn K. First she asked me "what is that?" I explained how to do it, and she said she doesn't usually do that, but she would do it for me. (I already knew it was not usually performed with IM injections, but I had done extensive research about the covid vaccine, in regard to blood clots and risks associated with injections without aspiration, so I wanted it done). The technician (who's tag read "pharmacy manager"), gave the injection and then aspirated AFTER she gave it. Yes, literally AT THE END, AFTER INJECTING ALL OF THE MATERIAL. I am still in disbelief. Please please please... if there is any take away from this, I would like for staff to be trained to aspirate for injections that have a small risk of forming blood clots. Other countries are aspirating, and when a patient asks for it as a precaution, then it should be performed. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Transferred my prescription. They didn't stock the meds. Asked me if they could substitute. Gave me something Completely different then what they were going to substitute. When I spoke to them the guy said "oh you wanted a certain kind of medication". Well YES. I am shocked to see any type of good review for the Pharmacy at this location. I very much look forward to finding a new location JUST so I never have to interact with the staff again. They are SLOW -- my RX are NEVER ready. They are RUDE -- each time I've been there I have had to wait longer than 20 minutes even though I had called in a couple hours prior to arriving. The staff will ignore you and continue on with their personal conversations before assisting you. When you express that you have been waiting, they don't care and act offended -- as if I am the one who did something wrong. If you call in your RX 2 to 3 hours ahead of time, the RX should be ready by the time you arrive. The staff should take responsibility for poor service instead of copping attitude. The staff should not continue with personal conversations if there is a customer waiting to be assisted. read more

This place is a mess, in more ways than one. The shelves are very disorganized and messy. They have a wide variety of items which is a plus, unfortunately, they don't have much of each item. I've gone in here a few times looking for something only to see the empty spot on the shelf where the item used to be. The staff is friendly, but almost to a fault. I've seen more than one occasion where an employee will hold up a line because they are talking to a customer they know. Along with that, this place seems understaffed in general, which probably explains some of the other problems. read more

If I could give the customers ZERO stars I would! I've been using this pharmacy for over six years and I've NEVER seen the staff act in any way inappropriate as people keep "claiming". The staff always get my Rx correct the first time, and in under 20 minutes even during "whiny-customer hours". (You know those people that SLOW THE LINE DOWN to complain). The staff always go out of their way to make sure that my insurance covers as much as it can. They did the same for my parents and they were always kind to them too AND the staff remembered their names. I wouldn't go to another pharmacy even if the prices went up at this location. This location isn't even the closest pharmacy, I just use this location because after six years of professionalism they deserve my money and accolades! 7 stars for the staff that have to put up with the customers that are a bunch of ZEROS! read more

My prescriptions are always ready in a reasonable time. Sometimes I get a text that a new one is ready before I even get home from the doctor's office. A recent change in my insurance was totally mishandled by the new providers and I was not aware of it until I went to pick up some refills. Absolute best pharmacy staff, best front-store staff also. These people are actually intelligent and know their stuff in the pharmacy. When talking to the people in the front, I can actually tell they have some experience working here. It seems too often that I walk into another CVS and there's a new teller, or a new people on the floor, where as some of these guys on woodland I recognize from when it was Long's Drug's. I think that the CVS chain is a corporate monster, so I'm choosy about who I deal with. I chose this location based on the nice people that work there, and if you ask nicely they will help you. P.S. be nice and they will help, I always find rude customers at drugstores - stop that. read more
