I have been going to CVS on Main Street in Santa Maria for almost 40 years (since it was Parson's Brothers). For the last two years a CVS employee makes my experience at the store and even worse at the pharmacy while getting my prescriptions a nightmare. There is an male employee, tall, long, dark hair in a ponytail that gives me dirty looks every time I go in either at the register or at the pharmacy. The last time the employee refused to help me, went into the back through the pharmacy and allowed a customer to play his phone on speaker and record my HIPAA protected health information. I am beyond disappointed and have filed a complaint with HIPAA. read more

Absolutely terrible service. Over the years, our prescriptions have always been short/missing/lacking. Never made a fuss but you clearly notice when you are supposed to take pills daily and in the end it never matches. Problem today with one of my family member's prescription, he only needed ten for a very basic, inexpensive antibiotic. Well, turns out we're two doses short and when asked, they say they have a picture to prove it. So, count your pills before you leave. Doesn't matter if it's 10 or 90. Count them. read more

I needed to use the bathroom and purchase a simple pad of yellow of white lined paper. I walked to the rear of the store and did not see any sign to the restroom. The pharmacist directed me in the right direction. The bathroom door was locked. I knocked. No response. There were two bathrooms, but one was labeled employees only and so I waved at a man through a clear door and he just looked at me. I stuck my head into the room to ask the trick about how to use the Bathroom. he said it's right there and pointed and I said it's locked so he stood up and like a high school student told to go clean his room, he expelled a large amount of gas sighing and opened the bathroom door. There was no toilet seat paper, no paper towels , and one roll of toilet paper. After wiping my wet hands on my jeans, I went to find that pad of paper. Of course they had all of these fancy ringed binders and spiral binders of paper, but not a simple inexpensive pad of 8 x 10 or legal size paper. I gave up and said forget it. I am leaving the store. On my way out there were eight people in line! I said aloud, "this store does not care about its customers or how long they wait. They don't even give us seat covers or paper towels in the bathrooms. I'm going to do business with companies that care about their customers." I walked out of the store and I will never return again. read more

I wish there was zero stars because that is what this CVS at 733 E. Main St. Santa Maria, CA, deserves!! ""PATTY"" at the pharmacy is the rudest, most incompetent, and nastiest representative I have EVER spoken with. . (actually, is a runner up with **Christian Cortés** at CVS 1830 N. Broadway Santa Maria, CA). . BOTH of these UNprofessional individuals raised their voice at me, argued with me, and hung up on me, repeatedly. I have NEVER known any organization to actually let nor allow their staff to belittle their customers the way these two did to me when I called about my prescriptions. I also was given the run around, many times, each time I called by BOTH of these people as well; I spoke with the pharmacists at BOTH stores and they backed up these individuals poor behavior towards me. . but good thing I have them on video of how rotten they both sounded towards me and, yes, I reported them BOTH to the Corporate office of CVS because I know for a fact CVS does NOT hire people of this poor conduct and keep them at their pharmacies for very long. They obviously did not take the HIPPA law very seriously. CVS please start screening your applicants much better so we as customers can have a more quality and dignified experience as a consumer while receiving our medications that we so very much need. read more

They could be nicer to customers. I'm not entirely sure why this older, short lady (with a black shirt) didn't let me ask another worker how much an item cost. If I want to ask someone else about a product that is my business. The other worker seemed very nice and was about to answer my question but the other lady interrupted her and told her she already gave me the price. I just wanted some help that's all. read more

Ugh. I have tolerated the poor service at the Main St. CVS pharmacy because the location is convienient but stick a fork in me I'm done. I've dealt with the cashier loudly asking me about what birth control I'm picking up, everyone in line got to hear that. Then there was meds a new doctor prescribed my son that should have been flagged because of an allergy yet got through the pharmacist and today I waited forever in a line and presented a savings card because my insurance doesn't cover the med. The clerk walked it to the back and I had to wait in another line just to be told the card wouldn't work. Okay, I'll pay the cost but he scoffed and told me to go back to the original line. I should have at least been able to go first or he could have easily rung me up at the second register but they don't care AT ALL about customer service. They always act like they are doing you a favor. So third line and another 10 mins later I picked up the very last prescription that I'll ever get for my family from this extremely unhelpful and rudely staffed pharmacy. read more

I don't know what to say for all the bad reviews because my experience is always so pleasant. I've been going here for about a year and had a Rx filled 6/26 and for some reason it was out on hold and not filled by the time I got there on 6/27. I never got the text saying it was ready so when I got there I wasn't surprised it wasn't. Oh, and I even got a courtesy call for all the other 2 meds I automatically filled that I hadn't picked up! Anyway, the pharmacy tech was awesome and told me it would be less than a 10 min wait. Super nice dude and he apologized over and over for it not being ready. People make mistakes but I'm glad they were willing to help me and correct them right away. read more

I will no longer use CVS Pharmacy because they do not value customer loyalty. Sean and Peter were the dynamic duo at the East Main location. Today I went to get my prescription filled and It would be filled in an hour. So I came back in 21/2 hours to wait 20 more minutes with only one pharmacist to be told sorry they didn't have it. When I asked the pharmacist to find it I was told to go to the back of the line. I had to wait 20 minutes for one customer and yet no courtesy call, no customer service. I found another pharmacy that had the medication and CVS billed my insurance for a prescription they never filled. Instead of having medication as needed, I am without prescription medication that I am required to take every day because CVS is not only incompetent, they bill insurance for prescriptions never filled at the cost of their customer's health. read more

Bad service, won't reccomend. Go to the other Cvs they have a better customer service and its cleaner.

CVS always has what I need and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Never have to spend much time in here because for the most part everything is always in the same place. read more

Not the nicest staff. But one night while my son was sick with an ear infection, I went in to see the pharmacy had already closed. The pharmacist was still there so I asked him what kind of medication would be good to get over the counter so my son , and myself, could at least have a peaceful night, and I could fill my prescription the next day. He responded by asking for the prescription and kindly filling it for me. Which only took about 5 minutes. After which he said id have to pay up front since those registers were closed. No problem! He was very kind and helped restore faith in people. read more

The pharmacist are extremely rude lady kept hanging up the phone and wouldn't let me finish talking. Asked to speak with the so called "manager" and he defended her by saying he assumed the conversation was done. Lol can't believe they even have a job very unprofessional. I would give it a negative review i could. My elderly parents ordered their refill on a Friday and were told to come back in an hour, they walked home and walked back came an hour later and cashier told them to come back Monday. She also scolded them stating to order meds 2 weeks in advance. This is ridiculous they chose this place as it was closest to my elderly parents home and could walk there. Who does that to adorable grandparents, who treats our elderly in that manner. I will be switching their prescription somewhere that will treated with decency and respect. read more

went to pick up my rx today. since fda has recalled some losartan called to ask who was the manufacturer before going to pickup. saw the label attached to the bag that said name of manufacturer and said mfg pkg yes awesome..... but when i got home in generic bottle not in mfg packaging. no way to check lot number without original bottle very disappointed!!!! staff friendly. read more

This place is filthy and the people are rude. Be prepared to wait. Seriously I would rather buy my prescriptions on the street!! No consultation offer which I'm pretty sure is against policy. Yes I was in a great deal of pain and was not interested in waiting another 15-25 minutes after being told it would be ready in an hour, which I came back in an hour and 20 minutes...did I trust their 20 minutes...ah no!! Did have to go back and wait in line for a half hour...but I guess I got the last laugh, I threw up in their parking lot..I doubt anyone would notice...the whole place is so dirty!! Just a great topper to a day that included injections into both feet, a trip to Urgent Care and then the emergency room and finally the dirtiest, rudest pharmacy on earth. Wish I could rate 0 stars instead of 1. The pharmacist that "helped" me was Catherine. She was extremely unpleasant and rude as soon as I walked up to the drop-off counter. I was 4 days post-op from getting my tonsils removed. (If you're in the medical field, clearly a tonsillectomy is known to be extremely painful and a long recovery.) The prescription I was re-filling by MY DOCTORS ORDER was for pain management. Catherine's first response was " you just got this filled 5 days ago" (mind you, it was a 5 day dose, it had been 5 days!) so I then proceeded to explain to her (not that it's her business) of how I am recovering from a very painful surgery and it's only been 4.5 days, my Dr prescribed me a re-fill. Her judgement and rudeness was unbelievable. Never have I experienced such disrespect from a pharmacist. She then decided to tell me with much attitude "I can't fill this for you" I asked her why and her response was "bc this is a narcotic" I asked her again why, and she had stated "we don't have enough" "it will take 3-4 days" (she could have said that the first time?!) After much frustration and finally deciding to just go to another pharmacy, I was left feeling upset and In shock. She made me out to be some type of addict, which was so degrading and hurtful. I just had surgery?! I decided to call the pharmacy supervisor to shed some light on the type of treatment his employee was giving to customers. Needles to say, he wasn't helpful as well and didn't seem to care. He made me explain my situation more than once and why I needed the pain management to start with.... really?!? I will never go back to this pharmacy and I am outraged by the lack of respect and sympathy this pharmacy gives. Looks like I'm not the only one who has experienced such bullshit. Seriously worst CVS I've been to! Not only is it always dirty, no one ever seems to know the answer to anything! Tonight's experience was the worst however! I get to the pharmacy the line is long, I wait 15 minutes only for them to tell me my prescription that is on a AUTO refill system mind you, was not ready! He said it would be another 15 min which I didn't have time to wait for! I asked what time the pharmacy closed he stated 10 pm I asked are you sure the pharmacy portion is open till 10 he said yes. Got back at 9:30 of course the pharmacy was closed!!! No one could help me, people need prescriptions for a reason people! They could at least get there own store hours right! I grew up just down the street from this CVS and always come here if I need to grab a snack or run an errand before hitting the freeway to work. Honestly, best customer service. The front cashier always points me to what I need and gets someone to help if she can't. Can't complain. read more

I have been a patron of this store for over 40 years, since it was named Parson's Drug Store. In all those years I have never had a rude encounter with a clerk or pharmacist. I do not have my prescriptions filled there as I live closer to Costco. My friend who does have her prescriptions filled there has only complained about her medicare not paying it's share or with the cost of her meds., never because someone was rude to her. It's an older, neighborhood store and so casual that often, my friend who is on multiple medications, goes in late at night in her pj's and robe to pick up her meds. It is not filthy, it's just not a big, spanking new store. read more

To be honest, I have came here for YEARS, they have a new supervisor and he is a complete jerk! I went to buy a charger (a nice one where they have to get it for you) and he said, "I don't think you can afford this $14.00 charger, we have cheaper ones in the front? I loved this CVS, but am no longer coming here. He gave me a hard time at the one in Nipomo, and now he's giving me a hard time at this one. And he was being a complete jerk to the cashier and other customers, he needs to be fired already! Steve or Phil, WHATEVER HIS NAME IS. JUST RUDE. He made the cashier log off her register during the middle of a transaction with another costumer that was in a hurry, the cashier got so nervous and started dropping the customers things so she wouldn't have to stop in the middle of a transaction, and then told the customer, "customers aren't always right." read more
