Don't buy a gift card here. Bought a $50 target gift card and $0 got credited on the gift card and I still paid the $50. The workers didn't know how to refund me even though the machine said to issue a refund. The male worker was very unhelpful and I was rushing to get on a train which he was aware of and he was taking his sweet time while the lady working was very helpful and sweet. This store is a hot mess and the workers need to be trained better. Now I have to wait 10 days for a resolution and got scammed out of $50. For such a huge corporation you'd think they'd be better. read more

There were no employees working the register and there were no employees to help when self check out crashed (this is a common at CVS - their machines never work properly). There were no employees any where; I called out and all I heard was crickets. I left my 'full' cart" and went to Walgreens where they actually have employees checking out customers - the good ole days. CVS I am done and will never be back. read more

Since my last review, I've seen a difference in the staff at CVS. They are friendlier and more helpful. I just wish they would get my refills right. They still keep giving me the wrong brand, even when they have the correct brand already noted on the label. read more

Some improvements must have happened since the previous negative reviews. Out of convenience I end up at this CVS often for personal items and sadly have picked up more medications than I cared for. I haven't had any problems when picking up medications, they have been on time and even have taken the time to adjust my insurance in the system for a lower cost. This location needs a face-lift. Something about it is ringing 90s. The aisles are very narrow and they need to upgrade to brighter lighting. The pharmacy area is half dismissive unless you are getting a vaccine shot. Then they are attentive. The first vaccine I had 3 weeks back a very nice young blond lady who was very kind attended to me. This time I had a young brunette with a long ponytail and she was abrasive. She chastised me not to tense up or my muscle will tense. I haven't ever been told that before and have never had a problem. Then when she was finish (very quick!). I marveled that it was so quick and how the last one was about 4 seconds. She dismissed me saying "No, no". Im like is she calling me a liar? Then she says they didn't know what they were doing. I would rather 5 seconds And a pleasant demeanor than 1 second and a snarky attitude. read more

I placed an order online for pick up in-store through the app, went to pick it up first of all there is a pick up point. No one's watching it. Anyone can walk off with your order, I've checked the app an hour and a half later and my order is still saying that it's waiting to be picked up. I haven't received my extra care bucks and when I called the store about this situation I got put on hold never was picked back up called back and was told it's 48 hours and eventually I'll get the extra bucks. Now I have to watch this app for days because of their in efficiency to make sure that I get the extra care bucks and if I don't get them not to fight for them or wind up, having to return the items and go through a headache of getting my money back. I don't understand this. I go to other locations. They scan the item out right there in five minutes maybe later there is no reason that I should have to wait days and have to worry about somebody walking off with my order I will not be using this location anymore. I don't understand why CVS thinks that is a good idea to leave customers orders out for the picking of anyone who walks up there. read more

If a negative rating could be given of this pharmacy it would be. The service and/or lack of is staggering. A prescription that should've been ready more than 48 hours ago is still not ready at 4:30 today. Apparently and according to some this pharmacy has lost its original staff. Nevertheless this sort of thing should not be happening. One customer stated to me that they had been waiting for weeks now for both approval and the fulfillment of their prescription. Luckily the prescription was not something that was immediate need and therefore they could wait. How will management fix this? One customer stated to me they're willing to fix it by moving to another pharmacy. read more

HORRIBLE! You receive the text and voice mail saying that our item is ready for pick up and IT ISN'T. Shelves are not stocked, I couldn't find any aspirin! Every month my prescriptions are "out of stock" even when my doctor calls them in ahead of time. This place is crappy pharmacy. The wait is always 15 people deep and I hear the techs saying the same thing over and over...."it's not ready" and customers saying "but I received confirmation that it was". Needs to close as it is not serving the needs of our community! Whoever the manager is needs to be replaced or let go. read more

Wow! I never thought I'd write a review of a CVS pharmacy, but when I get a good experience, I have to share it. I went recently to the CVS photo center expecting to pick up some pictures and take a passport photo, but what I got was much more pleasant. Lauren must be the NICEST photo technician and general cvs employee I've ever met. Right off the bat, she greeted my warmly and eagerly asked how she could help. I told her what needed to be done and we had a pleasant conversation about where I was going (since I needed a passport) and she even gave me an extra $3 off when a coupon was printed off accidentally when she rung up my purchase prematurely. It doesn't matter where it is... good service IS GOOD SERVICE, and for that I am appreciative. Go to Lauren for your photo needs! read more

The pharmacist Kaur Karmjit is one of the most unprofessional pharmacist. I have ever spoken with regarding a prescription. When you ask for her name she began to yell and state she is not obligated to provide the information. I asked her if she was the pharmacist in charge and she replied yes. I asked why can't you provide your name if it posted in the pharmacy. She also yelled and hung up the phone with my mother. I feel bad for any person suffering from illness that has to deal with Kaur. Kaur is difficult for no reason because her name was printed on the prescription label. I think she did not want me to report her by name. But now I will be taking further action to report her to the board of pharmacy. read more

Used to be good but has gone downhill. The app does not work properly and I've gotten texts telling me rx was ready when it was not. Stood in line 20 mins only to learn rx nor filled. Returned data later snd they had the wrong insurance info and told me to return in 3 hrs. Lots of others in line w same issue. I moved my rx to Fanwood pharmacy. Stopped here earlier today get some discounted essentials. This store has been around for years, and the exterior (completely made out of bricks) and interior haven't changed at all. The historic "Park Plaza" sign is still engraved on the front of the store, which is at the corner of Park Ave and East 2nd Street. Areas of the store include snacks & candy, limited groceries and frozen edibles, cosmetics & other beauty supplies, home care supplies, seasonal toys, personal hygienic merchandise, and of course, vitamins and OTC medications. With the exception of the seasonal toy area (quite messy), the shelves were neatly organized, which made it easy for myself to get what I needed. As far as prices are concerned, it's only reasonable when there's a sale. That depends on what you get, like gum, multivitamins, and dish-washing soap. Customer service is okay, but that depends on who you deal with. I used to deal with the pharmacy here, but that was many years ago (when I was a kid!), but not anymore, therefore I can't comment on that. Finally, in regards to parking, I've never had an issue finding a spot here. The parking lot in the back shares with other businesses, but I rarely see it fully packed. read more

The pharmacy in this location is horrible. I've used the pharmacy at least 7-8 times in the past two years and it has never been a smooth transaction. The line of waiting customers is at least 6 people deep at all times. The cashiers tend to make mistake after mistake, your insurance is never updated and the pharmacist behind the counter has a bad attitude. I would not recommend this pharmacy for any reason at all. Even the parking is problematic. Look for another alternative. read more

Overwhelmed by a single customer. Simple becomes complicated... I realize that in this part of Jersey a certain gruffness is considered charming but it is possible to take this too far. All hands on deck for ten minutes -- to find a prescription that someone placed an hour ago? No apologies, just another layer of gloom to the service? Then there is the habit of stating each customer's name extremely loudly for all to hear....The cashiers near the door, on the other hand, are delightfully helpful and pleasant. The above relates to customer service. If I could give them 0 stars I would! This cvs pharmacy is run by a bunch of incompetent idiots. I moved to scotch plains from Pennsylvania and needed to transfer to a new pharmacy. I called a week prior to needing my perception and explained everything. I called after 2 days to see if everything went through and I was on hold for 35 minutes and the call disconnected. I then showed up Monday and re-explained everything, they told me a few hours and it would be ready but once again nothing. I showed up Tuesday and talked to Kareem who is supposed to be the manager of this site, he told me he would take care of this and have the prescription ready in an hour. But over 24 hours I waited and still nothing.. I finally get a text that it's ready and go to pick it up and ITS THE WRONG one!! I am so beyond frustrated and would not recommend this place if my life depended on it. Save yourself a headache and go anyway where else! read more

This CVS Pharmacy is awful. They never have anything in stock when you try to get refills, the line to get your Rx is always out the door and the cashiers and pharmacists take forever to process your information. They have frequent issues receiving electronic Rx from doctors, which is common practice these days. They also make mistakes when explaining what your insurance covers and frequently try to say things aren't covered when they are, and that is if they get your medication right. I've had several occurrences where they provided the wrong item or said it was not covered and after a lengthy discussion found out they weren't even referring to the correct item. It is definitely worth going out of the way to avoid this pharmacy. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Always a huge line and a long wait. It doesn't seem to matter how far in advance you send in your prescriptions, they don't start working on them until you get there. So you wait on a long line then again while they fill your prescription. read more

Don't use their photo center, especially if you're doing photo cards. Their machine chops them in half and even though they are aware of this (and claims to have called Kodak to fix it), they don't let the customer know until they come to pick up their order. Unacceptable, waste of time. read more
